- Koh Phi Phi is Thailand's most beautiful island. If you have to believe the movie THE BEACH with Leonardo DiCaprio for sure! It is about a hidden island that is so beautiful that you can go completely crazy when you see it. We visit the famous Maya Bay from the movie, on the island of Koh Phi Phi Leh. Here we snorkel with tropical fish and a deadly sea snake! We also go to Bamboo Island and stay on the main island of Koh Phi Phi Don, with all the beautiful viewpoints. In this episode I show you all about Koh Phi Phi in a crazy adventure.
We are visiting Thailand on a one year world tour and we may even continue to travel indefinitely. On New Year's Day we started in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands. Then you saw us in Oman, Cape Verde, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Tobago, Grenada, Bahamas, United States, Mexico, Ecuador, Galapagos Islands and Brazil. Thailand is already our fifteenth destination. Follow us on this world trip, first in Thailand and then to many more beautiful destinations! We also cross to Oceania and Africa! Always loved Koh Phi Phi. I went to Thailand 4 times and each time I did day trips to there but on my 3rd visit I actually stayed 3 nights there back in 2018 after staying 5 nights in Krabi (Ao Nang)
I VISITED PHI PHI ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO...I WAS LUCKY TO SEE MAYA BAY AT 6AM BEFORE ALL THE TOURISTS ARRIVED....IT CAN GET REALLY PACKED...I HAD IT ALL TO MYSELF....IT WAS AWESOME....JUST ME AND THE BOAT DRIVER THAT I GOT UP AT 5 AM...ITS A MAGICAL PLACE

Hi Anissa! Ja kan echt een dag van te voren nog makkelijk een boot boeken, vanuit Krabi of Phuket zijn er veel verschillende kantoren. De boten gaan tussen 4 en 8 keer per dag. Thanks voor je leuke comment en veel plezier!

Hi Juan! The trek was really nice. He walked up to the point that he got tired, but after that I put him on my shoulders. The whole way with a two year old must be doable as well. The hike is not that steep and there is no climbing. 😁👍🏻

What month did you go there? We went in December and there was a looooot of people. On your video doesn't look like there was a lot of people.
How long did the caat drone registration take ? 🥺 some people are also telling me I’ll be fine flying the drone just to make sure police aren’t around
Absolutely didn’t need to. Police was even super friendly and I was never asked for any registration.

Great as always. Thanks. I have an imporant question for you. I am comnig to Thailand next month and hoped to take my drone. But what a hassle ! It needs registration with two Thai authorities, which can only be done once in the country and then takes a few weeks to get (by which time I'd be gone again). Plus liability insurance up front. Did you do all this? Or are you risking a very heavy fine or imprisonment eahc time you fly? Thanks.
Hi Craig! When we were there we had never heard of all this hassle. I don’t know if that’s very new, but I can tell you me and everyone I met with a drone did not do any of this. Also spoke to some authorities around natural places and beaches and most security/local police was aware of the drones without any problems. There have been some countries where I was afraid to fly because of strict rules, like Middle-East, Cuba or Ecuador. I didn’t use the drone and ended up meeting a lot of people that did use it without problems. You have ti decide, but I can tell you in 2022 the authorities were completely unaware of any drone rules..

Hi Heyengel, we did not see any of those places. It might be that you cannot use the drone on Koh Phi Phi Lee, but since we did not go on land here, I wouldn’t know. On Don you should be fine! 😃👍🏻

Hi Benzinio, I wouldn’t know since we did not keep count. 😅 of course we are traveling for a longer time. My guess would be around a thousand a person, but I’d have to do more calculations to be accurate. At the end of the trip we’ll make a blog of all the costs 😁👌
