Ruger Mini 14 Breakdown Part 1

What’s up YT. In this video, I will be breaking down the Ruger Mini 14. This will actually be in 3 parts. Why? I recent got this firearm (2mo ago). I haven’t taken it to the range yet and it needs to be field-stripped, cleaned, oil-lubed up; before I can just take it to the range and start putting rounds down.

Taking apart this firearm was fun. It felt really accomplishing to be able to breakdown my first rifle, get an understanding of how the mechanisms work, and it gave me a chance to really appreciate this firearm. I hope you guys enjoy the video and remember: T.errible I.sn’t P.ermanent. Peace.

5:11 I think that is a buffer thingie-mahoozie (technical term hehe) that absorbs some recoil so the casings shoot just 4 or 5 feet instead of the factory stock 30 feet like my Mini-14 does without it. I have a 581 series made in 2011 which is a Tactical version with a wood stock.
