Angel Beats! is without a doubt one of my favorite anime of all time. I'll never forget crying my eyes out knocking on my buddy's door (I was crashing at his apartment for the night) at like 10:30 needing a hug while my eyes were straight up Niagara Falls. He was a total bro and hung up on his fiance to hug me.

if you liked this anime, you should try out Clannad (not the movie)! Jun Maeda was heavily involved in the writing process of both, and the anime was produced by KyoAni with a whole, what, 49 episodes?

the arrangement of this particular composer sounds a LOT like it was inspired by The Great Locomotive Chase .
Am I the only one who things some of this sounds kind of off-key? Like, it's a lovely arrangement but some of the instruments kind of miss their cues in places.
+PermianExtinction I find some parts are slightly off-key at times, particularly first violins (melody) at 1:38. For all I know it's just me.
