  • This is part 8 of my 1997 Lance Squire Lite 195 rebuild project. In this episode, I finished the dinette bench, as well as the propane and battery compartments. I even go the first two wall panels up!
It's finally starting to look like something!

I think I binge watched this twice. Partly because I have one similar and will be doing some of the same; but mostly, I can't get enough of the craftsmanship. Thank for explaining your thoughts and process. Gave me courage. Haha

I'll be getting back on it in a few weeks. I'm just getting a few other projects out of the way and then organizing the barn and getting back on it. We sold our 37-foot camper, so the truck camper is definitely gonna be done before next spring.

Feels like I’ve been waiting forever for the next episode! Good to see the progress being made. What about using polystyrene sheets for the insulation? It’s what was fitted to my Northstar originally. Available in a range of thicknesses, lightweight, easy to cut and dirt cheap 👍

For where that cardboard stuff was? I'll check into that for sure. All the rest of the voids in the walls will have 3/4" foam board installation and the rear wall and floor will take 1-1/2" foam insulation.
Yeah I had an issue with a break on my offroad rig that I needed to take the whole front axle out etc.

Thought about using 1/4 or 1/2 foam insulation board in the wall cavities?

What are you using to a heater your plastic to the wood? Thanks. I think putting keels and paint on. Was very smart.

lance, really, is way over rated based on the structure.....its just like any other manufacturer....btw, its should have already been primed and insulated
i know you are redoing it but i'm disappointed to see what you have to work with from the manufacturer

Yeah I was really surprised how cheaply made and designed everything is.... crazy
