The music is good, but this is more similar to Khmer, Thai, and South East Asia cultures that were influenced by the Indosphere. We Vietnamese belongs to East Asia culturally and were heavily influenced by the Sinosphere. Our traditional music is not like this. You can search "Vietnamese Civ 6 medieval theme." That's what our music sounds like.
What would be the name of this kind of music?
@@fireandworms We call it "Dân Ca" (Mandarin:民歌) or "Common folk's song" literally. We also have royal court music too, just copy/paste "Lưu Thủy Kim Tiền" if you want to listen.

I'm a Vietnamese. And to be honest. This isn't the iconic theme of our people. Fierce warriors as we may be, our music is soft and peaceful, almost a lullaby.
This is a clumsy piece of work, copied from the Khmer and the Thai. Our ethinic minority has this kind of music, but it isn't iconic enough to represent an entire Vietnamese civilization.
I hope that the game's creators fix this error.

this is apparently ancient vietnamese music but the composers, not sure if they are actually vietnamese or westerners made it sound more khmer/thai like. I would not approve this to be vietnamese theme.
