🎀Artist Diaries🎀 | making my own memo pads, packaging orders, 'twas a struggle

- So I decided to set on my own venture of creating memo pads after spending a little too much of my dime on manufactured samples. I don't think my wallet could take it again, but what cost less? Trying it myself. So I went through all the routes of research and...let's just say this is definitely a trial and effort.

I almost never subscribe to anyone, but I LOVE YOUR CONTENT. Also, those pink braids are everything!
😭😭😭omg! Thank you so much! You don’t understand how much that means to me 🥹
Absolutely loving your videos!! Your art style is adorable and your colors just put me in the happiest mood :)
🥹thank you so much! That’s my main goal for this channel 🥰
This video gave me big cheesy smiles. Hope your art business flourishes with all the success ^_^ I'm an ND artist too, and sh*t is tough, your transparency will do wonders giving space for us and awareness to others.
This comment just made my day! 😊 thank you so much for your lovely comment and it really is tough. 😩 I honestly love crafting but I won’t lie and say my OCPD makes it quite tough more times than not
I live in the Midwest too, so I understand “Tornado Season”.🌪️
Right! It was so funny seeing my friends reaction who don’t live in the Midwest. They were just like…yall have a season full of tornadoes 😐😂😂😂😂
I love how realistic u are!! ur aesthetic is super cute too and the editing sounds,, i love them AAABDJBJ good job!!
Thank you so much!!! I try to be as transparent as possible so people can see the ups and downs. I already have some other designs I want to try so I’m excited. I know I got frustrated through the process but I love crafting by hand and once I get a process down it’s less frustrating
That is good that your sister does your hair too. It's pretty with pink color. I alway have my mom do my hair too. I feel more comfortable for my mom does it I just straight it. So does mom straight hers and curl it. When we were smaller she could us cbc curl perm and just grew long. My is longer than in the photo. I just braid after then use bans I use just clips and wear out and clip it. Now that I am older I just use bans or cap.
So AESTHETIC:)
Thank you!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Your sister sounds so sweet. Giving big sister vibes ❤
She did awesome job. I love the braids.
Oh yeah she’s the best! Love my big sister hands down 🩷
I made a note pad once, I clamped it between the table and a piece of wood before adding the glue. I think it turns out slanted because you moved it around 🤔 I understand the struggle tho 🤗
Really nice vlog, this is the first I see from you. Subscribed now and looking forward to more ❤
Thank you so much! And yeah it definitely slanted because I moved it and I didn't realize it until I went over the footage 🤦♀️ lesson learned tho. Even tho it was a struggle, I really do enjoy crafting so can't wait to try again
Dw abt the number of sheets in the notepad, cause imo around 40-50 is fine. it's a smaller notepad but not uncommon! I'd still buy one. And yea the back isn't too important but it's good for branding. Anyways looove the braids, they look so good!! And Snail tape dispenser sounds so cute ToT ToT
Thank you for the feedback! Honestly helps a lot and thank you, my sister really popped off with my hair 😭🩷 I’m still waiting on my snail tape dispenser but imma post it on the community section when it comes 🩷🩷🩷
The pink hair really is cute! It fits your aesthetics so well! Also where did you get those purple flower earrings? (I think they were flowers)
Thank you! I got the earrings from Lovisa!
The Memo pads are so cute 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Thank you! Can’t wait to design some more so I can have a variety when I release them 🩷
you can consider packaging your orders in a dark wrapping before putting it in the eco envelope if you are concern about transparence
That’s actually really great advice! Thank you!
nice work
Thank you so much!
Shiv from Cwazy Club! Hear ya on tornado season. It's always comes at the worst times--gotta sit in my basement and wonder what I'll do if my desktop computer gets damaged. Notepad making always looked like a labor of... insanity? lol. Looks like a ton of work and paper cutters are never that accurate. The only efficient way seems when people print huge stacks of paper and use a heavy duty guillotine that are closer to professional cutters but I'm still not sure it's worth the effort/equipment cost.
Also, vistaprint proofs are a little tricky/shady as they do not show the CUT line which is the most important line for reference in proofs. They only show a "safe" line and bleed line but not the actual edge of where they cut. Not sure if that helps.
No that helps a lot. My sister has to utilize them a lot for her job but even she says they are tricky. I found that using my sticker printer myself is ten times better and I have full control over the quality and quantity, saving money on samples. I hate having to deal with CMYK converting with my pinks 😩😩 and I have a limited budget. I saved more doing it myself so I’ll probably keep doing that since I get to experiment with different designs.
Like I mentioned, I have OCPD and it makes it extremely difficult when my products are getting messed up by manufacturers. I’ve already found good ones for other physical products that can work with the Pantone colors I use but the guillotine was also for my prints and custom cards. And the paper for the memo pads were actually quite cheap compared to the two manufactured samples I had done which was a surprise.
Some things I’m willing to go the extra mile for if it means having my stuff precisely how I need it to be and crafting it on my own. I did get frustrated but I truly love crafting by hand. Next is going to be clay stuff. Gotta get the materials
@@createopotatoe yea the silhouette cutter did a good job, I'm glad you found a good solution!
Hi
Thanks for video 😊
I think you using your gilotine wrong.
I think that transparent is for protecting your fingers and need to be very close to blade. Then also that magnet should be closer to blade. Then you should have really nice cuts. When you have that black magnet in the middle of the page, while making cut, your page is moving.
Hope that helps😊
And sorry for mistakes, I'm polish 🙂
This is so helpful! Thank you! I knew the invisible one was the finger guard, it was just too bulky with how small some of my prints were making it difficult to use but I didn't know that about the black magnet so thank you so much! This is my very first time using one so ANY tips are always helpful.
