    This is useful for non-drummers too. I'm a vocalist and these videos help me break the vocalist stereotype that we suck with rhythm. Thank you!

    Thank you for this! I've been playing flute for over 15 years and never perfected reading music. This was so helpful!

    This was fantastic. Thank you. Would you consider doing some videos in irregular time signatures too. For example 5/8, 7/8.
    Greetings from Ireland. :)

    This rythm is applicable to all instruments...if one is master in this rythm then he/she will become a maestro in rhythm..
    Even piano and guitar can use solo beat which is a very essential component....

    でもいい練習になる。私はホルン吹きなのでホルンでタンギングリズムの練習します!自分の弱いところがわかった気がする

      If you get the free lite version of sound slice you can make them yourself pretty easy. I wasn't finding much in the way of quintuplets so I finally found an easy way to do it myself

    Should you allow a single triplet to reverse your primary sticking from right to left hand lead (R L R)? Or is it better to do it R L L to maintain right hand lead? I know its subjective but looking for some sort of guidance.

    • @SightReadDrums
      @SightReadDrums  9 місяців тому

      It’s a good question and there’s no definite answer! My philosophy is to always choose a sticking that enables you to play the notes as evenly and fluently as possible. Sometimes it might be RLR, other times RLL or RRL, depending on what feels best for the piece you’re playing.

      Both ways should be learnt. There's no a best way to play to it. All are ok as long as they sound they way they are meant to sound.
