- We are an enclosed contemplative community of Poor Clare sisters whose monastery is in Nuns' Island, Galway, Ireland. In fact we have been here in Galway for centuries, right back to 1642, having come through various stages from our beginnings in Gravelines, northern France, where some young Irish women had gone in search of religious life intent on returning to Ireland when persecution abated. Begun in those far off days, the same life of daily prayer and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, is ours today.

Lovely to hear these sisters. I know God loves me also but my heart is so hard. I fade from belief into disbelief. I pray for the mercy of God on my soul. Any of you who read this may I ask for your prayers. Thanks in advance.

Thanks you sisters, St Clare is my patron Saint. Every year I do my private retreat and stay at the the Poor Clare Monastery. They allowed me stay although it is not really a retreat centre and the only guest room they have is usually for visiting relatives. It was St Clare who told me to contact them and they accepted me to stay with them each year. God bless all the Poor Clare sisters. Fiat.

When I lived in Galway for six months several years back I stayed at the Gort Ard residence at Salt Hill. If there was no priest available, we would go to their church at Nun’s Island. I loved going there!

If there could be more Poor Claresin the Archdiocese o Vancouver BC This City would be spakling. I have to say that theyhave to be the most Compassionate community of Nuns that the Archdiocese of Vancouver BC Has ever seen. Precious soul, of all the religions there is but one where the Son of God, Jesus Christ, died an excruciating painful death on a cross for our sins in order to have a hope of entering into heaven when we die. No sin can enter heaven. We must repent and ask God to forgive us of our sins. It's through the shed blood of Christ on that cross we get forgiveness. I'm not Catholic. I'm only Christian. The pomp and circumstance of all religions although mostly beautiful will not get us into heaven. Only humble obedience to our Father in heaven will. And not of any fully human man. I ask you to have an open mind and read in the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in the New Testament. In them you will learn who Jesus is. How He lived His life on earth. And how we are to follow Him and not what religion tells us what to do. God bless you richly and abundantly always.

Precious soul you don't need a $1,000 a week. No one does. Keeping it simple is the best way to live.🙂
How about going out for a change and HELPING PEOPLE in an active way? You are of no use to anyone (except of course yourselves) shut away in that cloister of yours. To be "holier than thou" in your despicable way is not going to change the world for the better. The Ukrainian refugees need your help right now, not your nonsensical, ludicrous prayers!
God bless you precious soul. I'm so sorry for whatever happened to you in your life that causes you to attack women whom God Himself called to become cloistered nuns. What has God called you to while on this earth?
