That heal bot is actually what allowed me to survive as long as I did and eventually push for the win (yes I killed of Gelbin and left the Heal Bot alive for as long as I could by never attacking it as well also). Of course it did help that I had the Rare Spear-Museum Curator combo as well but still though.
If I remember correctly, when I did the rogue class challenge, I got hit with an Alexstraza and Ancestral Spirit on turn 2. There was no hope for that match...

Skelesaurus Hex worked with a more or less standard controll warrior in the second try for me. The huge survival potential of this archetype did the job.
First time I went up against Skellasarus (in story mode) he created Lord Jaraxxus with his first ancient power. Then he coined out a 6/6 infernal. I conceeded instantly. Then, in heroic mode, the first card he created was Ysera.
On a whim I decided to try a Murloc Shaman for heroic Skelesaurus. Ended up being surprisingly effective, killing him on the first attempt. Basically ramping up the damage as fast as possible allowed me to avoid a good chunk of the rng. Admittedly if I had not killed him the turn I did, I would have been toast as soon as I hit the green button.
I found the Rafaam stealing your deck challenge to be the most fun. I used "Draw Card" gimmick to win. I basically put all the card draw cards from shaman and neutral. He basically plays both mana totems and acolyte's and you just have to make him draw 3 - 5 cards at turn. He always has a full hand and can not use his hero power and eventually he takes fatigue damage.
I found it fairly easy. All heroic bosses combined took about 10 tries, and i made unique decks for 3, first lost to a ladder astral deck, second to tempo mage, gave the third a total trash deck with mostly rares, and last lost to an inspire priest with plenty of big removal.
A really good deck to use against skeletaurus hex can be a freeze mage with animated armorhe seems to avoid the animated armor and just go for face when he has high damage minions, unless he gets a tail swipe or a removal, so you can keep smashing him every turn with the animated armor

The classic freeze mage owned this guy on the first try. There is also a bug I found on the 2nd try with the new mage card. He will keep hitting face if it's out on the board, so you got like unlimited time :p
I had a blast with paladin against heroic armor... It has everything. equalities, repeatable swarm of minions, enter the colosseum... Got it in first try (well, second, first was with whatever deck just to see what should I expect)

Played as Hunter, sapped the first two big minions with ice trap, discovered 3 ghaz'rillas from an artifact spell, played one of them and found an artifact that dealt like 10 damage all over the board (which consisted only of my ghaz'rilla and a minion of him). One shot him ^^

Just try the Kel'Thuzad + Taunt bug. The AI/opponent won't even attack^^ I only used it for the Aimated Armor dude because you know... it's a bit cheeky to use bugs to to win against a bot imo

It's just occurred to me that Skelasaurus will scale up with power creep as time goes on, so he's going to be just as hard later on as he is now. Whereas, previous adventures tend to reduce in difficulty over time.
for the last fight he can get a minion that makes all other minions immune. I happen to mind control it followed up with 2 faceless the next turn. needless to say easy win when all your minions are immune.

Killing The Steel Sentinel with 35+ fireballs is pretty fun too, had good times with that mage deck (archmage + 4 times that 3/2 -1 mana girl)
