- I bought a damaged Mercedes C63 W204 for my girlfriend site un seen as a project car. We discovered as soon as it was delivered that it seemed to have been in a much worse accident than it looked. The car had been dressed up to fetch more money and i fell for it. BUT HOW MUCH IS THIS GOING TO COST!?

@Toy City I can imagine Mat also has a bill for labour from the guys who stripped it down, planning to jig it straight. At least they were honest about the extent of the damage once they dig further, which is the best way of doing business and so I hope some trade can be put their way by viewers who are doing similar to Mat by buying 'uneconomical to repair' cars.
Not worth a bodge job, especially if your gf's gonna be driving it. You can't win them all, still plenty of money in parts in it.

I've driven quite a few Mercedes over the years, none of them mine fortunately. Have never been that impressed, certainly not worth the money or the adulation they get. Overrated cars. The best one was the Viano, that did impress me and I enjoyed driving it, a very capable people carrier.
GET RID OF IT MAT, Cut your losses! Keep your loved one safe and get something else.

You should do a collaborative video series with Salvage Rebuilds. They have their own Jig and repair crash damaged cars.

Break it for parts, keep the engine and do a sweet engine swap with another car. Would be an awesome series

Have you actually costed the parts value and the exact loss you would make...you might be very surprised.

Honestly used to find him annoying on this advert but watching his videos today and his honesty etc made me a fan so subscriber guys.
Why don’t you just buy a mint donor C220 and convert everything. Good for content and I’m sure you can pick up a C220 for cheap as.
Wont work unfortunately , chassis, running gear, wiring loom and just about every ancillary would be incompatible. if only it was that easy :-)

I have seen plenty bodykit conversion and facelift to look like a c63 but never seen anyone completely transform the cabin, gearbox, drivetrain, engine swap, wiring loom to this extent. Dressing up to look like a c63 is one thing but actually transforming to a C63 full spec, that’s something entirely different. Be interested to see what info you have on this actually.

Rob & Chris Salvage Rebuilds UK, would make a great colab or content for them if you can agree a price. You've done the scary part of finding the unknowns, they can go into it knowing the extent of damage and what they're getting into..

@Toby W you got to be very careful buying from Copart,I’ve seen this kind of thing with a Mercedes my mate bought from Copart and you’ve got no come back as they basically sell write offs as scrap on the paper work.

Matt, firstly “I told you so” ..... 😆 secondly, how about just doing an engine swap in to a Mercedes 190E body? It’s been done before & you already have the engine!
Where has it been done before? I'm on all the 190E groups and never seen anyone do this swap. The only swap I've seen was the 190E body that was mounted to a C63 chassis.
