Amount of FEED for PIGS in a day| PIG FEEDING at Weaner, Grower and finisher stages.

This video entails the amount or kilograms of feed pig should consume in a day to avoid feed wastage. As a pig farmer, feeding pigs is one of the most expensive parts of the job. It is thus very important to feed the pigs with just the right amount of feed they need to put on body weight. If you feed pigs above the quantity they need, you’re wasting feed because they won’t convert the excess feed into body weight.

Feed conversion ratio is the measure of livestock production efficiency: the weight of feed intake divided by weight gained by the animal. Pigs have a higher efficiency and thus low FCR values of 2-3. Based on multiple researches, it was found that for pigs to gain a certain amount of weight, the feed they eat should be 2-3 times the amount of weight we want them to gain.
