Great tutorial, definitely learned some new things. I was wondering, why are you choosing to use an empty shape layer instead of a null object? So it doesn't look so cluttered in the viewport?
Thank you for your kind words! I do it for multiple reasons. The main two reasons are to avoid creating multiple solids in the project panel and it's easy to copy shape layers between After Effects projects. You can't do that with solids because they'll be labeled as a missing asset when you copy them into another AE project. I hope that makes sense.
hiya Sergei, i'm trying to use this to place two items - a logo (left) and some text (to the right), with anchor points set to the right of each. can i ask if you know why i'd be getting a "0" width when i apply smart size?
