They are very important, I drive out of Basingstoke Depot with Stagecoach. If a bus is in an Unsafe condition to go out on the road you can be liable for it as well as the company if you've done a first use and taken it out when the bus isn't actually serviceable! Had a flat on my bus the other day and safe to say it wasn't going out on the road.
@@_Mikes_Life Good show sir! I can see from your videos you value your job highly and also always look out for passenger safety bravo is all I can say sir!
Many Many thanks for watching. I’m just a poor bus driver. I’m looking into the bits and pieces I need to make my videos better. At the minute, I have an iPhone11
I note that with the winter road dirt the front and rear registration plates become dirty; is there a requirement to ensure they are clean and visible? Likewise stanchions and grab rails in general, do you check that they are not loose?
I do mention the grab rails and stanchions at the beginning of the video. The number plate must be readable. The buses a washed, after every use, so that no build up of dirt can stop the plate from being seen. Even when the bus wash froze up the shunters and cleaners washed the windows and number plate by hand.
Great video and I love the consistently of uploading keep it up
Struggling to think of content. Anything you’d like to see??

I take these checks very seriously. I also check the bus after every rounder. Inside and out. Passenger safety is paramount.

I love this unique look behind the scenes. The audio could be improved, maybe a lav microphone directly into the camera or phone
