I've been struggling with rotation and lost yardage since I slipped my disc. I'm confident now that I can gain that yardage back after watching this. Thanks guys👍
Thinking less, feeling more.. great… So much of my recent instruction experience is all sorts of data and positions. So confused, this is great information and more about finding a “persons” swing with fundamentals imbedded in feeling and motion….😊
Excellent instruction to get the full turn, extension, and synchronized release. After working on a couple of your other videos for a couple of months, I'm still not getting the clubhead speed and consistency I need to hit my drives out of my shadow. I believe these tips will help me a lot when I get back to the range. I still haven't been on a course (in 23 years) but I'm slowing working up to it. Great job guys, and as usual, great instruction in the limited time you have in a video. I'll let you know how this works out for me. Thanks!
@@meandmygolf. - Hi guys. That is a somewhat complicated question. I started golfing in my early 20s and by the time I got to mid-20s and early 30s I carried a 2 handicap. That lasted a few years until some serious life challenges struck and I basically gave up the game. I started playing again in my 50s and had fun in our company leagues and a few random tournaments shooting between even par and bogey golf. Near Christmas in 1999 a vehicle ran a stop sign and hit me on my motorcycle, shattering my leg and rupturing discs in my neck and back. ER doc did a great job of putting my leg back together but couldn't do anything about my spine. I couldn't swing a club without severe pain so I gave up again. This year I happened to try a couple of swings and found I could do it without significant pain, so I regripped my old Titlest DCI irons and a couple of woods I got from Fred Couples by way of my in-laws. I've been slowly relearning my swing in the backyard and trying out my progress on the range about once a week. Your videos have helped me tremendously to get the rhythm and ball-striking back close to where it was. Distance has suffered with age (77) and obvious physical issues, but I think I could get around a short course without breaking windows or injuring someone severely. I was having a lot of trouble with my driver and 3-wood . . . mis-hitting and fading consistently with no distance at all. I watched your "I'm hitting my drives 300 yards . . ." video and it really straightened out my woods and gave me much better distance. I'm sorry this comment is so long, but I'm nervous about getting back on the course after all this time. I'm certain your videos will be a huge help to me when I finally do get out for a round.
OK @meandmygolf, Rameen is one of my good friends and golfing partners, and you are therefore banned from giving him any more lessons :) Still crazy that I'm watching a video with him and you guys, ha! Great lesson and I'm scared/excited to see the results on the course. And if you ever need more guinea pigs, I'm just down the road from The Grand ;)
Light Bulb Moment!!!! my arms and hands are too busy as well. Just took it too the range and HOLY MOLY I was hitting them far. Well further than I have ever before. Easy over 250m.
Absolute lifesaver video. Been struggling with the driver lately and this addressed alot of my problems. You and one other channel are the only UA-cam golf instructors i can honestly say know exactly what they are talking about. Much appreciated for this gem of a video! Edit**** and my dude in the video has the tour pros on...... My dude... Got the blue and red ones myself.
Great insight here. I’ll have to try it at the range this week. See if I can tame the left handed swing that has a baseball background. This lesson a are great but always have to switch what hands/sides you guys say for us wrong handers 😂
Hope you enjoyed the video! Some great improvements from Rameen here, he will certainly be hitting it a long way very soon😂 If you are interested in working on your game off the tee, why don't you give our coaching plan Total Driving a try. I’m just wondering where we can find the balance roller as it doesn’t look like it’s listed on the website? I have the exact same toe pressure issue and have been working on fixing that 4:40
Hi lads, I’m wondering how to stop a big push to the right (rh golfer) with the driver. My lower body gets too far ahead of my hands and the club face and I push it miles out to the right as a result.
It could be a few things Adam. Set up, back swing or even down swing. Check out our Total Driving Plan in the link above. We cover everything you need to know about driving.
My driving is so inconsistent. When i hit well im hitting the trees behind a 240 limited range. I try to do the same thing again but im fading it, slicing it or hooking it. I probably get like 3-4 out of 10 good drives
From what i can see...club behind body during takeaway, early extension and over the top during downswing...golf is hard when you are in this situation...but golf will become easy if you understand this problem 😅
I also think he would benefit from a shorter shaft or gripping down. He gets a cramped up almost regrip in transition that delays his hands then he fires them to catch up without any drop in them. This dude would seriously bomb 300 plus if he can fix whatever that is
After watching, thinking at anytime you would get him to move his weight to the lead foot instead of just pulling his lead hip back. I was dumbfounded when you didn’t. Personally it was not one of your better videos or was it, time will tell. Well after giving this takeaway a try I apologize it is the simplest method to improve distance. 👍
With the swing that the student began with, it seems to me that the critical issues were addressed in the video. The changes made certainly met the goals of the lesson: greater clubhead speed and more consistent ball flight. Perhaps in the limited time available they felt that weight shift was of less importance than those two issues. I imagine that had the lesson continued they would have addressed that issue as well, but from my point of view they accomplished their mission quite satisfactorily.
Hi Simmo. Yes there are more things we could do. We always go with what the player can manage at one time. If Rameen nails the back swing it would be then down swing.👍🏻
I have one swing thought for my irons and I hit them quite well. For driver, I have a 10000 swing thought and literally none of them work. LOL help @meandmygolf helppppp
This has to be the best backswing instruction I have ever seen!! Can't wait to find transition and forward swing lesson of equal excellence!!
Glad you enjoyed this Ray.
This is what I've been working on too, left shoulder point at the ball during the upswing!
110 pm Central this is one of the best videos that I have seen and I have seen a lot
I love this channel…. “More results from thinking less”. Great line.
That is what we are all about. Gotta keep it simple.

Hi Tim. Just want to make sure. Would you still regard yourself as a beginner golfer?

Hi Kris. 😂😂. Rameen did great in the lesson. Hope he has seen the benefit. Stay tuned on socials as we will want some lessons to film soon.

Glad this was helpful and thanks for the compliment. Happy to hear that you enjoy the videos.
You addressed everything I’m doing wrong in my swing. Which means I’m swinging completely wrong 😂
We hope this helps then Malen.

do you sell that balance trainer?
@@edmurphy1131 Hi Ed. Yes you can access all of our training aid products using this link👉 shop.meandmygolf.com
Did not realize you did a podcast with AMG. MAMG and AMG are the reasons I shot 90 yesterday! Going to listen today
Yes awesome guys! Great podcast.
Was a great listen!
Amazing tips! Thank you guys.
Glad you enjoyed this.👍🏻

what do you guys think about raising left heel as he does in the video in the back swing?
It’s fine it it’s consistent for you
So damn valuable Thank you
At horizontal, wider, less than 90° on the back swing, then 90° on the down swing.

Did you work on his grip ?
Sell those long sleeve outer jackets..... :) Great backswing instruction.
My new favorite golf instruction on YT. Would love to see you play 18
Glad to hear it Matt. We have 9 holes coming with a Tour pro very soon.
Is first few swings were slices imo not fades 😂 great video though👌
I would also like a golf lesson from Gary Barlow over here... :)
😂😂
Needed to fix how his body works but didnt.
go figure.
I got a 50 year old that does 290y average.
hitting bombs
He needs to put his right elbow in front of him at setup and keep it quite. Bigger guys need to get the arms in front of them
I also think he would benefit from a shorter shaft or gripping down. He gets a cramped up almost regrip in transition that delays his hands then he fires them to catch up without any drop in them. This dude would seriously bomb 300 plus if he can fix whatever that is
Flair both feet out at least 25 degrees…. Super helpful for people with large chests.
if I slow down, move less, pretty much exactly how I tee off LOL. I would hit the fairway, but 50 yards shorter ha
