I love these more than some of the photos you take with much more expensive gear just goes to show it’s all about the photographers skill not the gear.
Thank you, I really appreciate it! It was a little weird going from thinking I was shooting on a telephoto portrait lens then all of a sudden having to shoot on a wide angle, no bokeh film camera 😂 we made it work!
Your and the model's reaction to the toy camera were priceless haha. That being said, you really did well with those, as probably the best proof I've seen that it's the photographer not the gear that makes the photo!
The skin tones and colors are absolutely top notch! You do such amazing work. This video proves that the camera doesn't mean anything when you have real genuine talent.
I would absolutely love if you did a budget photography series where you took random digital and film cameras with varying pricing and low budgets :) love your work 💜
Happy Birthday Julia! Love the pink toy camera and the Olympus. I used to have an Olympus Stylus film camera many years ago. Great video. Made me laugh.😍
Wow happy birthday Julia 🎂 I really love the shoot they looks sooo good and what a lovely birthday gift, looking different but the pictures come out really nice. Would love to see more of it 😍
Would be interesting to see you experiment with a 60 year old iconic Rolleiflex with some B&W photos for fun. I was thinking about learning photography and simply splash out on a Sony A7C cam, but instead found a working Rolleiflex 3.5f in my late dad's attic, that belonged to my late granddad. I guess I should start somewhere!
Hi Julia! I love ALL your videos! I recently bought the r6 with the 85 mm f2. However, I am not quiet sure where to put my lens setting at which can be either 1). FULL 2). 0-5 - Infinity, or 3). 0.35m - 0.5m. I mainly do portraits! Thank you
Happy Birthday. Dan thought out your gifts quite well and I love the way the toy camera brought a smile/laugh out of the model. I might need to do something like that to get a smile out of people. 😛The photos were beautiful, you were able to get the best out of those cameras. I especially liked the image at 5:30. BTW: The 90 G is nice but if you get a chance try the Voigtlander 65 APO Lanthar. 🙂
Bahahaha I actually sell the Kidzoom cameras. Everyone that buys one, I will send them to this video. You could inspire a whole new generation! That was awesome.
Happy birthday Julia! 🥳😊 This video is so funny. And Dan is a genius. 😂 However i have to admit that the photos of the toy camera were not too bad, considering that is a toy... 😲
Thank you ahh I am so thankful Dan had this idea, it was a super fun experience. And yep I agree, the quality of the toy camera surprised me hahah it's not bad at all.
@@juliatrotti The 5D2 was also my first "good" camera. I really loved it. I want to start with portrait shooting for clients, until now I only did landscape and street photography for myself. I think an old professional camera is a good opportunity for people to get into photography and move away from smartphones :)
HBD! You can shoot with a freaking potato 🥔 and the photos will still look the same: really fkn good! This is the video people should use when they wanna see why people always say GEAR DOESN'T MATTER.
Only people who know.. knows. People who dont or new will just keep buying gear. Thing is so long the camera or gear is able to focus where you want it to be... the rest is lighting/composition and last but not least post process to make the image better or different. Everyone can use the same setting.. buy/use the same gear.. but end result is always different because of post process. Dont fight me.. images that has been through post process are usually better than just straight or raw from the camera.
One thing alot of people do not tell you is, its not about the Camera, you can have a 5K camera and have a crappy lens, and you will not get sharp images. Spend more money on the lens, not the camera. You can buy a 10MP camera, and have a high end lens and will come out razor sharp. The camera does not make the images sharp, its the lens that make up the quality and sharpness. MP is overrated, only if you need to do do large prints.

How to take great pics with a $100 camera:
Step 1: Afternoon sunlight
Step 2: Nature location
Step 3: Good looking model
Your and the model's reaction to the toy camera were priceless haha. That being said, you really did well with those, as probably the best proof I've seen that it's the photographer not the gear that makes the photo!
Thank you so much! Hahah the toy camera shutter sound was killing us
💯 that's what I thought as well
That toy camera was a good example of not judging a book by its cover. It was surprisingly good.
I agree! It didn't look too good on the back of the camera because of the screen haha but on a computer the files look fine :D
The skin tones and colors are absolutely top notch! You do such amazing work. This video proves that the camera doesn't mean anything when you have real genuine talent.
Same here I got soo impress by the camera...it's seems to good to be true..but it is.
@@formx9796 it's also the film, and her editing style. She has true talent, but it definitely doesn't hurt that the camera has fantastic lenses.

I am actually working on a few videos like this! I have another one that will go up in a few weeks :)
Hardware is overrated. 😅 Tip of the cap to Dan for the birthday fun.
Funnnn! Also, happy birthday, Julia, wishing you many blessings! We love you! 💖✨💖
happy birthday!! would love to see a camera collection video ❤️
Thanks! And I will definitely work on some film photoshoot videos :D
Happy 😃 birthday 🎁🎁 Julia!!! May the genie grant you one wish
so far this episode or video of yours are best of this year more of this, on the spot suprise box portrait photography
That shows that gear doesn't matter all that much, skill is much more important.
even the model broke character when she was staring at the toy camera. I definitely laughed in this video! And enjoy your birthday!
The pictures were actually really good. Clearly technique and skill means a lot more than just cameras and lenses.
Happy Birthday Julia!
Wow, amazing photos with this cameras!🙂👍👍Happy Birthday🙂
It was so fun to watch, you guys are so cute! :) I’d love to see more film camera photoshoots/collection content😍
Thank you and done :D I have a little collection of film cameras that I really want to use for portrait shoots! I will work on some videos soon.
You’re a master of your craft! Very inspirational
With cheap portrait equipment this time, maybe follow up with 200mm f2 for next video? 😊 Would be cool to see you shoot with that. 🙌
Happy birthday Julia! This was a fun video to watch! :)
Thank you!!
Cute video, I hope you do the 90mm in the future, Happy Birthday 🎈
Thanks and I will! We ended up shooting with the 90mm after this haha I will edit the photos and video soon.
These turned out great! Good job by you and the model… so much fun!
Thanks so much!
Happy Birthday, Julia.
My facourites were the ones from the toy camera by far. The slightly faded look they added even with the presets could be a style of its own 😍😍😍😍
Thank you!! I was really surprised by the quality of the toy camera photos, they were actually pretty good haha
@@juliatrotti yes, me too, it looked better than the 'real' cameras in this video imo 😅

Great video! I was wondering if the final photos you shot on the Olympus AF Twin are edited? If yes, what program do you use?
Wow happy birthday Julia 🎂

Btw, may I have info of the film roll you shoot with the Olympus film camera?
Awesome video, I loved it! The first camera shots were my fav, but all your photos are always stunning either way 😍

Happy Birthday ⚘️🥂

Happy Birthday :) a video with an old professional camera for the same price would be cool. Like the original 5D or even 1D

When are you coming to india
What pentax was that?
With little film cameras like those, you can use sunglasses over the lens as ND filter
