I'm 47 and my legs had been aching really badly by the end of every day at work for the last six months. A serious concern given I''m a carpenter and still have a potential for another 20 years of work. I borrowed one of these Revitive versions of this off of a friend. I've used it five times and the improvement in my legs is amazing. What I hadn't really noticed is how swollen my feet, ankles and lower leg had become until after using this a few times and the swelling has gone. My feet look like they have lost about a third of their mass.
Wow is that how medical trials are undertaken these days. I am now an aged, sceptical, electronics engineer who was loaned one of these devices, a cheap and cheerful device, not one of the expensive ones. After a week of use my problem legs became almost completely painless and some of their former strength had returned. You would also be amazed at the improvement in performance of some other bits of my anatomy too. I know you meant well but please have an open mind when reviewing any item. I didn't need to have it turned up until it hurt to get these improvements. Thanks for the video.
I bought the cheapest Revitive at the time, the Pro Health. 30 minute session every day has reduced the swelling in my legs and I swear by it. Won't work for everyone I know, but it was a great investment for me
funny this i got one if these for my had years ago before he died and it helped enormously for many years , if you read the science on these machines the results speak for themselves
I appreciate you have your opinion. The contractions I feel into plantarflexion are definitely strong enough effectivley activate the calf muscle pump. I think it's reasonable to assume that that motion, in and of itself, improves blood flow (my understanding is that the physics of the venous return system works this way). My unit has a rocker pivot that facilitates that motion. Additionally, the uncomfortable sensation is deep stimulation which activates endogenous opiod release at the spinal cord level. (its not supposed to be comfortable.) Tens is very superficial and feels tolerable to most. My opinion is contrary to yours....all of the physics and physiology are present in my opinion.
I had a knee problem felt like grit in knee cap. Someone gave me same one you have. I used every day about an hour. After a month it fixed problem. Hasn't come back since. I use now every day 30 mins on sole setting 74!
I have low blood volume as the result of ME. Because I don't have the energy to exercise, I got a Revitive. After a few months of use, my calf muscles are as tone as they were in my 20s when I was lifting weights. The swelling has gone down in my ankles (still have some but it's much less). Muscle also burns more calories than fat... so at least one area of my body is toned. (I don't have the energy to do isometric exercises or anything else). Surprisingly, my multiple Morton's neuromas, are also feeling better and I can walk without pain as a result. Don't know if it's the additional arch support or what--my feet have always been flat due to lack of muscles in arches despite exercises for the same. So yes, it's a tens machine. Not quackery.
Thanks! It’s interesting that some people get good results with this and others don’t. My own experience with vascular patients is that they often have reasonable satisfaction initially but then discard the machine. I think the ads in the papers overstate their effectiveness hence the quackery comment
I use revitive and it has dramatically improved my leg movement, less pain, more toned legs, less hip pain less lower back pain, im afraid this video and the person presenting it offer nothing credible whatsoever
As he says, it's an old type. Why does he do this test with an old type which nobody has? Do it on the Revitive which my family and I find very beneficial.
Listen to people’s testimonies! If you have used one........and I don’t mean only once for 60 seconds like this guy........actually used it every day for 4 weeks, then I’m willing to listen. This guy is a vascular surgeon who doesn’t want to lose work. People who have actually used it for a worthy period of time, or know someone who has, will testify it does actually have a lot of positive benefits. The results will be different for everyone. The overall “experience” will be different for everyone. A lot of things that are good for you are not pleasant. I like brussel sprouts and they are full of goodness. But, for a lot of people they are grossly unpleasant. That does NOT change their benefits! The benefits are there regardless of your “experience” with brussel sprouts. It’s the same with the Circulation Booster. The benefits are definitely there IF you are willing to give it a fair go.
Flipping hell, 40 something and you can’t feel it? Gosh mate, what are you made of? 🙂My feet go berserk at 20.I didn’t buy mine so I’m not invested in it working, but I like it and find it relaxing. It help’s my restless leg syndrome. I’m glad you’re reviewing it for value though.
Would love to see the revitive one opened to see the difference to this basically Home made 25 pounder to their expensive one! I know your one was £25 off the auction site with the 3 leds sole etc there the dangerous ones!
The PSU is 5v 1A but by accident, I plug in 12v 1.5A PSU and now still switches on as normal but the rubber foot pads don't work, is there a way to reset the power overload? 🤔
I have noticed there is no circuit power going to the pads from the Switch Mode Power Supply transformers, but unable to find a suitable SMPS transformer replacement part.
Really enjoyed the review. The commercial insinuating you can get rid of your medication by replacing it with this is what initially made me very skeptical. Electro-stimulation isn’t exactly new technology.
Not really interested in the electronics. What I wanted to know was how effective it is in reducing symptoms (i.e. the pain and discomfort) and increasing mobility, even if only in the short term!
I’m wondering if this machine does anything different than the flexible, more or less 12”x12” neoprene pad that has a conductive surface that sends electrical impulses through the bottom of your feet. I bought one on eBay or Amazon for around $20. It seems to function like a tens electronic stimulator for your muscles.
If your going for one done by cheap ones there dangerous go for.the revitive! The revitive had a curved bottom so rocks when your muscles are contracting and your foot contracts down! I watched a review of one of these cheap one the boy had a pin in his knee and gave himself a bad electric shock! 30 to 60 mins a day revitive say to use it for atleast 60 days to notice a difference
The underlying , maybe you can enlighten ppl , how deep is the underlying reasons? Do you adress things like diabetes or diabetes resistance ? And if this is a factor what makes them suffer from that ? Electricity and to ground themselves regulary , diet and carbs ? Bad sleeping habits or much sitting during the days . You present this device from a person with medical background and start of by saying you know little about these still you open your dialogue as a quackery , maybe to be a bit humble and try to see what others have reported back and what these few studies has indicated , but it might shake your feeling of knowing things better just because you have a diploma.
Blimey that expensive for a pic based device with a phenolic pcb. Did you take a look at the power supply, medical devices have to have a proper medical isolation barrier. Those transformers look like audio transformers the sort of used impedance matching. Surprised there was MOSFETs doing the switching. Great video, I don't know mike electric stuff on UA-cam he's teardown a few defibrillators and other medical devices and has gone into detail about medical device regulation it's fascinating.
@@thewtf Thanks for the reply, cause is almost certainly Multiple Sclerosis, I have 2ndry progressive and have big problems with leg and foot function, particularly in one leg, and it's this leg where I have oedema around the foot and ankle. Happens mainly in the evening and after a night in bed it has reduced considerably. So thought I could use the circulation booster in the evening whilst watching TV. The one I'm looking at is the Revitive Medic.
Always follow the advice of your medical practitioner and advise them if you wish to augment your care with one of these devices. Take care not to overstimulate - early positive results can lead to over-zealousness and potential exacerbation.
I don't think there's an awful lot of current that are used with these. I have a supposedly non-working unit that I was suprised at first to see it has two AAA dry cells as the source, inside a wire tethered control. So, that's 3V DC and about 0.1 A peak. Perhaps this unit is even less powerful, as it's peak power from the battery is 0.3W
I expect one would feel better after a treatment-as the man said when asked why he banged his head against a wall: "'Cause it feels so good when I stop!" [edit: spelling.]
When the valves inside your leg veins start to fail elevating your legs is about the only way to reduce swelling gravity will keep pulling the blood back down without those check valves working, the machine can't do anymore than walking would do period
Given the rates of obesity and heart disease in this country (which this device will in no way affect) I doubt he has much to worry about in that department.
Reminds me of the ADE651 bomb detector device that looked like a ray gun that came in an impressive attache case with a flash 80's style instructional video. When opened it contained a battery, a red flashing LED and an aerial sticking out of the front. Perhaps I am being unkind, the circulation booster device is probably more effective for its intended purpose than that was. ua-cam.com/video/yoxo_BQ91bY/v-deo.html

Possibly in that it will encourage the calf muscle pump. Treating oedema depends on the underlying cause.. usually compression hosiery and elevation
