Hi, I followed your exact procedure using KT200 and Tango. I still got immobilizer active on my dashboard

That method works with no problems so you must have more things going on

Did you try to just clone using only ktag or did you dothe immo data edit with something like tango as well? Just cloning with ktag will not work since it has some OTP area's

Hi sir, I have a question , I’m new to ecu swapping, I have tango and hexprog and vvdi, after I do the eeprom modification do I write that to the ecu that I want to program? Do I need to write only the eeprom and not the flash? From your video looks like that it’s only needed to write the modified eeprom info back to ecu. Thanks for your response.

You need to read flash and eeprom. Only need to write eeprom back.

@@ecurepair why do you need to read flash in only eeprom is written? Also, can't you just write the full eeprom from original into the new ECU?

@@AndreSouzaCorner Im no VW expert and never researched it much but from what I gather the originals flash is needed to decode some of the eeprom data. There is no reason not to back it up for safe keeping either way tho. As far as direct copy from one to another goes, I'm not sure KESS is pulling the entire flash. Possibly there is some OTP area's that are linked to individual ecu's and the kess read flash is not verifying with it when changed. When ever I tried direct copies I would still get immo active messages. I do see my ktag has a clone feature for them these days but I haven't tried it yet. I try and avoid VW's as much as possible. www.alientech-tools.com/news/latest/releases/k-suite-4-53/

Hi, I have the med17.7.2 i want to clone to a replacement device. I have read the eeprom file. Can you help modify and so I can write on the replacement?

Sorry I don't know those well. I do not do a lot of newer benz stuff. I checked my ktag which is with latest updates and it says clone not able so it probably has some OTP sectors. There may be some tools out there that will do it similar to how I did the VW 17.5 but I don't know sorry.
