Faber after sale service is worst....New chimney stopped working within 3 months of purchase. Their technicians have zero idea about the issue, called customer care for fixing it, raised concern with the brand even on Twitter (X), still the brand has no plans of fixing the issue or any kind of communication.Even after paying more than 16k for the product,we are suffering from more than 45 days without the chimney.

I have a small doubt. How can one ascertain if their frying levels qualify as a "lot of" or low level? Don't you think it is time for chimneys to autodetect the frying smoke levels and accordingly adjust their suction? Cooking habits can keep changing in the same household with entry and exit of family members and based on their whims 😊
There are newer chimneys that are coming that automatically detect cooking and start and adjust suction power. Those are really high end at the moment - will take a while for it to become mass market.

Color printouts 3. Black and white prints Should I go for separate scanner and printer like epson v39 and canon g570 combo or Brother t820dw/ canon g670 all in one will suffice? These have (1200x600dpi optical scanning. Is that enough for scanning old photos?)

Baffle filter with auto clean ones also needs maintanence Quite regularly than filterless with auto clean ones. Filterless needs service two times annually.if you can do the maintenance buy baffle filter with auto clean ones else filterless auto clean ones
I got Faber hood vertigo 60cm for 11k last week. I don't think chimney with Louver (opening and closing ) are worth the money and they tend to be problematic

But chimney controls are working fine but chimney can't work because the door is closed .And there are no service center near them and no one is reaching their house on repeated calls rendering it useless . And also they are priced 8-10k higher than normal slanted chimney without louver .only difference being in slight increase in suction power about 500 ig. I have visited a brands showroom their itself for a model louver isn't working

If your budget is above 20k then you can find models like that. Elica I smart is a good example. Just saw it in the showroom now.

Bldc motor in chimney doesn't make sense as it is priced heavily and it doesn't save much electricity as we don't use chimney for more than 6 hrs

Thanks for sharing - filterless is sufficient for most home uses but for too much oil usage - baffle can be used.
