- The Stitches and Dishes project, titled "Curtain Sewing and Delectable Wishes," encompasses two dynamic programs: Homemade T.L.C. (Tocino, Longganisa with CARE) and "Come SEW, Come SOUTH," a community-based sewing project in partnership with the San Francisco Institute of Science & Technology (a TESDA Accredited School) located in Sto. Domingo, Albay.
The Homemade T.L.C. program focuses on empowering women through the art of Tocino and Longganisa making. Participants learn the traditional techniques, secret recipes, and meticulous preparation methods to create mouthwatering delicacies. This program is designed to provide livelihood opportunities and celebrate the rich culinary heritage of the region.
The "Come SEW, Come SOUTH" program is a community-based sewing initiative aimed at enhancing skills and fostering self-sufficiency. In partnership with the San Francisco Institute of Science & Technology, participants learn various sewing techniques, including curtain sewing. The program promotes creativity, self-expression, and the development of practical skills that can be applied both personally and professionally.
