There was a radio station in or near Tonopah Nevada that played music like this, though they never said the names of the songs, i can't find a listing for the station anywhere, and i didn't think to Shazam the songs at the time. This band is the closest I've gotten in my quest to find the white whale. I may never find what I'm looking for but it brought me to this and for that I'm grateful
