Thoroughly enjoyed the video. Thanks for posting. Seems Raphael has painted the (4) room motel. I was there in 2012, but will not divulge where. I got the biggest sheephead around the island in front of the clam beach. I even remember you truck incident video. Small world as you said. Me and a friend are on way to Bahia Asuncion, and plan to make several stops like you did.
Sweet vid! Driving NYC to Patagonia and have just been fishing in BC where I caught the end of the salmon run and took a 8ld rainbow trout in Central Lake Vancouver island three days ago. Now looking for Baja whee I will drive the length before going into Mexico.
Me and my friends went to acunsion months ago and had an accident. Luckily nobody was injured. The fishing was more than fantastic. We surf fishing for croakers and sargo. Caught sand bass and lobster as well. Wish to go back there again. Really miss the fishing and the ppl who helped us at 3am after the accident. Thks and God bless.
Watched both of the beach fishing vids. Nicely done! Especially appreciate the honesty and transparency about the truck-in-the-surf experience. You also inspired me to finally post one of our Baja trip videos after 27 years of going. See: "Baja Fishing 2015". Thanks again and we will be looking forward to your next Baja vid!
I am sworn to secrecy on those spots (no pun intended). I have always said it is a small world, and the more I travel in Baja the more I realize just how true it is.
awesome i love croakers more comonly known as roncador in my hometown in ensenada as i grew up around Corona Beach and the other beach camps check out the volcano by san quintin is a good spot and you can buy some oysters at the farm on the way
Lovely video- I'm going there this September- starting at Ensenada, then driving down and fishing to Loreto- 2 weeks at Loreto, then back. Were you using mainly clams, please, I think about a 1 ounce-ish weight, and how far out beyond the breakers were you casting? Many Thanks.
I'm heading down to those northern areas next wednesday. It's late but who knows.. we'll see. I'm bringing a kayak so I'm hoping to get out to some of the reefs and high spots if the surf isn't too big. The water is still warm down there.
Really good job on the video. Love Baja, love fishing, love the video!
Great video! Thanks for sharing.

funny the video has an endless summer feel to it. Great job!
These fish are a blast on light tackle and all, but they are damn near dead by the time you land them lol.

I hope you released the lobster, since it is illegal for non-residents to fish for them.

Whats your rod and reel set up?
Cool trip. What gear were you using?
What kind tackle and bait you used ?
Thank you
what are the names of the beaches you guys went planning a South trip and really want to hit these spots
How far south into Mexico/Baja does one need to go to get into the different species of fish like Jack crevalle Spotfin Croaker Snoock etc?
For Jack Crevalle, Cabo is the place. Croaker, most beaches. Some better than other.
No Halibut this time?
We looked for them and spent some time fishing the krocodiles but they did not seem to be any around....

can you get off the main road and hit some of theses beaches with 2 wheel drive?
Some you can, other not so much.
You probably would want sand tires
Air Down.
Sand crabs or 1oz Crocs?

what time of the year was this??
We were there in October.
Planning a trip down during holidays any spots to recommend??
6lb mono or flourocarbon?

you guys are lucky they didn't pull a deliverance deal on you.
The fear is what makes these places great for adventurers. During several trips to Baja, I have never met a person who I did not like.
