  • After our first "Surf Fishing Adventure" video on You Tube, my friend and I revisited the Baja Peninsula for another try. Once again I shot all the footage on my Note 3 cell phone. Would love to film with a better camera, but there is just not time to mess with all the gear when we are fishing. We caught some trophy Spot Fin Croaker, our targeted species for the trip.

    Great video! Keep the location tight to the vest!
    The guy in the pink shirt with the lobsters in my buddy Juanito Suave! Small world.

      I am sworn to secrecy on those spots (no pun intended). I have always said it is a small world, and the more
      I travel in Baja the more I realize just how true it is.

    Me and my friends went to acunsion months ago and had an accident. Luckily nobody was injured. The fishing was more than fantastic. We surf fishing for croakers and sargo. Caught sand bass and lobster as well. Wish to go back there again. Really miss the fishing and the ppl who helped us at 3am after the accident. Thks and God bless.

      I hope you released the lobster, since it is illegal for non-residents to fish for them.

    Thoroughly enjoyed the video. Thanks for posting. Seems Raphael has painted the (4) room motel.
    I was there in 2012, but will not divulge where. I got the biggest sheephead around the island in front of the clam beach. I even remember you truck incident video. Small world as you said.
    Me and a friend are on way to Bahia Asuncion, and plan to make several stops like you did.

    Watched both of the beach fishing vids. Nicely done! Especially appreciate the honesty and transparency about the truck-in-the-surf experience. You also inspired me to finally post one of our Baja trip videos after 27 years of going. See: "Baja Fishing 2015". Thanks again and we will be looking forward to your next Baja vid!

    Lovely video- I'm going there this September- starting at Ensenada, then driving down and fishing to Loreto- 2 weeks at Loreto, then back. Were you using mainly clams, please, I think about a 1 ounce-ish weight, and how far out beyond the breakers were you casting? Many Thanks.

    How far south into Mexico/Baja does one need to go to get into the different species of fish like Jack crevalle Spotfin Croaker Snoock etc?

    • @Mahigeer1
      @Mahigeer1 6 років тому +1

      For Jack Crevalle, Cabo is the place. Croaker, most beaches. Some better than other.

      I'm heading down to those northern areas next wednesday. It's late but who knows.. we'll see. I'm bringing a kayak so I'm hoping to get out to some of the reefs and high spots if the surf isn't too big. The water is still warm down there.

      The fear is what makes these places great for adventurers. During several trips to Baja, I have never met a person who I did not like.
