- 2023 Black Friday Plugins that are actually worth buying.
I scoured the sales so you don't have to. There's a ton of plugins on sale from Waves, Softube, Positive Grid, Toontrack, Baby Audio and more. Here's the ones where I plunk my money down for.
I am not endorsed by any of these plugins and there is no paid product placement in this video.

Pretty good
ROCKS
Great plugin review. I'm looking forward to the hardware one. 👍
Thanks for the timely recommendations! 2 questions for you, mate: 1) is vocal rider effective for voiceover and dialog? Or is there a better plugin for evening out dynamics prior to applying a compressor? (2) your favorite plugin for fixing spoken word plosives?
1) probably not, a regular compressor would be better. Vocal rider gets side chained to another source so it basically rides the volume fader. 2) the Sonible smart deeser is my fav because it’ll process “ssss” and plosives (p, t ‘s etc)
Waves... The one plugin company I avoid. Burned my fingers with their stupid update plan. Great video.
me too, learned the hard way, but a few of their products are worth it!
RVox is also very good for the price
I outgrew the CLA drums and vocals.. so be careful. I would rather recommend the CLA Epic. It is very good.
ooh, Epic does look pretty cool. I usually use up to 4 sends to blend delay and reverb, that might be a whole lot easier.
I think Waves intentionally overprices their plugins, just to make it look like you're getting a great deal. Most of their plugins are truly worth only $29. That's their "amazing" sale price. LOL! I have a lot of their plugins, but don't be fooled into thinking you're getting a great deal. Most people wouldn't pay what they list as their regular price.
This is more like a list of the plugins to avoid. Maybe this is supposed to be a prank?
