Back in 1984 I was 17, growing up in Queens NYC. My neighbor, a Yugoslavian man name Niko… in the early 1970s discovered the Scorpions, and signed them to their first deal. In 84 when they played Madison Square Garden, they were one of the biggest bands in the world. Bon Jovi was opening act with one known song, Runaway. Niko took me, a 17 year old kid, to the greatest backstage meeting rock god hero’s night of my entire life. We ended up out for the entire night with Rudolph and Klaus, guys from Iron Maiden and Deep Purple. It was incredible. Love this tune. And looks like you did also.
I've seen the Scorpions 3 times live and they never disappoint. I was in construction for my life and I found a copy of taken by force in the trunk of an abandoned car. 8 track

I'm 50 years old, when I was 16, there wasn't all this technology that young people have. Sitting by the seaside, with a bonfire, with friends smoking weed, and listening to these songs... it was about friendship and happiness, in the African islands...
Ties with Journey's "Faithfully" for the greatest power ballad of the 1980s. Klaus' voice is incredible and the music just hits you in the soul.

I was a Scorpions fan long before this one came out but it still blew me away. It made think of every woman ive ever loved (many) and it made me realize that it was all my fault with them all. It made me wish that I could be back with them, any one of them, that I had missed my one true love somewhere along the way, and that I would never have another chance to get it back again.

I don't know who she was. But she had been there somewhere and was now gone.
These guys poured Thier heart and soul into this one. Great reaction. The look of surprise and adoration on your face really was priceless, something that couldn't be bought with all the money in the world. A true Rock and Roll gem.

Oh yes, such a beautiful song, I still love it, the Scorpions are a great band. I saw them for the first time in 1970 in Berlin in the roof hatch, a very, very small location. Back then (1984) I read that Klaus practiced the song in the studio around 1000 times before he could do it.... Greetings to you

This Band comes from my Home Town. Some of theme I know too.

It was an ultimate metal ballad at its time. When you looked into girl's eyes and repeat after Klaus 'you should gimme a chance' - well, I didn't met a girl who refused :)

Been into Scorpions since early 1980's,first gig April 1982,Birmingham Odeon...Awesome!
Saw them in 2019 @ Bloodstock Festival,England....Klaus still has the voice....
Now in 2022,they release 'Rock Believer'..their best album in a long time...Klaus is now 74 and still showing the young bands the way to how do it.

This song came out on 3, July 1984. I turned 12 years old the next day. This song has stood the test of time. GREAT REACTION as always. :)

Seen the Scorpions twice in the 80's for the Tours of Animal Magnetism and Blackout they were awesome! One of My top 5 favorite bands. They sound the same live in concert as they do in studio, excellent quality!
I saw them 1 time in Frankfurt and another 4 times in Berlin! Every time was better than the last one! I will try to see them again in 20/9/24 in Frankfurt again! They're like the good old wine, as old is getting as better is became! One of my fever Rock music bands! (Try Lorelai)

*Thank you for giving Scorpions a go. I had all of their records beginning with their Lovedrive album. IMO, their albums; Lovedrive and Animal Magnetism are the two best. Nearly every song on those two are such good ones. I even got a tattoo of a Scorpion in the early 80s because of their music. If you would like suggestions for more by them to try, let me know and I'll leave you a list. LOL, this one and more by them are definitely 'Baby Making' songs. ♥ ya and until next time.

In 1984 I was at university. That song was the absolute hit on campus. In the evenings you could stroll around the grounds and always hear it coming out of several dorm room windows. It's still one of my all-time favourite songs. Glad you love it too!

I remember going to see Scorpions back in 88 I believe, think so if my memory serves and I had sort of liked them but I guess I liked lots of other rock bands more but from that time onwards I realized what a great band they are , they have produced some of the best rock tracks of the last 50 years, Teutonic excellence year in year out .
One of my fav bands😭memories, i saved money and ordered their records when i was 14-15🤘

In 1988. I saw the scorpions play at the Monsters of rock festival in Maine. The weather was horrible. They had to stop the show for 20 minutes because of torrential rain. We were chanting "rock us like a hurricane lol.
Just great and real music. Stuff like this is why I stay away from today's music.

There great in concert, the cool thing about the lead singer is he’s fluent in 4 different languages English,German,Japanese and Russian which at times in the middle of a song he would change to a different language
