Shannon’s chops have always remained consistent! That’s incredible for such difficult and fast music. One thing about his playing I admire though is his efficiency in picking-he’s one of the few guys who can pick using his thumb bone for movement and not the wrist like traditional alternate pickers. So efficient...

He looks a lot like him, but I don't think Kirk has ever sweep picked in his entire life. Even the solo in Leper Messiah that everybody thinks has sweeps in it, he says its alt-picked.

Tabs for Shannon's solo? Songsters tabs for the sweeping part are awful.
I listen to Death all day and this cover is good but it still needs to improve a lot, especially the tempo of the song. It has an hour that accelerates and diminishes, has an hour that stays clean and at the same time dirty with a lot of sound crossing the other. The voice is cool just like the rest of the band but they need to get more involved in the song, follow a unique bpm and mix with the instruments.
