I have listened to possibly over 200 hours of Jordan Peterson and remember being quite struck by what he said about sports in relation to the phrase "It doesn't matter whether you win or lose, it matters how you play the game", which is from JRE #1139 at timestamp 41:19. I feel Cristiano Ronaldo reflects that extremely well. To summarize: do not compromise your ability to do well at life for the sake of winning a single game.

What's so strange, about Cristiano Ronaldo inviting Jordan Peterson to his home? What is it? I was happy to see the picture. I thought it was a chance meeting. The question is, why aren't MORE PEOPLE, BEGGING, to have Dr. Peterson in their home. Ay, Pescador de Hombres! My home is messy right now. The lawn hasn't been cut yet. Dr Peterson, there's a lot of people already calling you "digital dad" or the like, now your wife has a podcast too... I wonder how many people will call her a "digital mom" or the like (even tho she seems to have a different focus on her podcast). What does that tell you of the relationship of people with their parents or the "competency" of their parents? I wonder, now that I'm a parent, how terrified were my parents when dealing with some of my personality "harder-to-deal-with" aspects. I wonder how incompetent are we in general in this matter and what could be the main cause of that. At the end of the day we are all here improvising, decided with the limited information and knowledge we have... It's frankly terrifying to think of the effects of my lacking on many things on my kids 🤷🏻♂️
