He was brilliant again.
there is something hypnotic, spiritual on his voice. Is unique as much as Cody; both create their own peculiar atmosphere.
I seriously think he was the best male performance of the night. Super talented, perfect song choice and vocally perfect. I adore everything about this performance, a new favorite on my top with Cody, Lydia, Heather and Chloe (I'm gonna miss her).
What I love about this performance and Vangelis is that there are no gimmicks. He's the only contestant with absolutely no set, he also has no dancers or crazy special effects. His voice is amazing, it's so pure and angelic, he doesn't need distractions for his talent to come through.
I hope people can see how amazing he is and take the time to vote

I feel like this guy is a bit of the underdog! Such a consistently stunning voice, but he really stood out this week! Not sure if that's because of the context of the other performances, or if he just really stepped it up

I LOVE this song. I remember the excitement when it first came out, and Vangelis brought that back to me in spades! I loved the arrangement, and the way Vangelis held back just long enough to raise the tension. The variations in the second verse showed a really inventive melodic talent at work. Another amazing performance from a fellow who could easily be a top ten artist. The Boy left Vangelis behind, but the public ain't daft and they saved him. The Boy may eventually have to contend with this young man, because in my view Vangelis is more interesting and engaging than the Boy's favourite Cody. We will see how that works out, but it's out of the Boy's hands now.
can only be the situation today that Vangelis was more interesting than Cody. Next time it might be again the other way around. No doubt - Vangelis made a very good job and I hope he can make it to the last final. :-) Cody obviously did not feel comfortable with the song choice. For me not understandable. I think the song would have suited her if she accepted and understood. I am certainly not THE music expert but have some experiences with teenager's thinking.

He is better than Cody
+periurban Boy George knew Cody would probably not survive the votes, which is why she got the fast pass instead of Vangelis. Otherwise he could have ended up with just Vangelis in the semifinals. However, I think Cody could redeem herself next week and perhaps even outperform Vangelis? Anything is possible.

Great stuff from Vangelis. At times, it felt like his voice was underneath the beat/music but when the band gave way later on, he was crystal clear. I predict Vangelis, Cody, Kevin and Heather in the Final Four.

Love this song but can't beat the original version however this guy has a really nice voice a wee bit different. He is a 80's throwback!
Now that Chloe has left (Which I'm still quite sad about), Vangelis is now in my top three with Jordan and Cody.
I love that he puts a darker twist on the songs he does... Not quite as gothic as Cody, but more... Haunting?
My same three, ridiculously only Cody made it so hope she wins.
I would've loved for them to be in the final, but Lydia, Jolan and Kevin were brilliant... With the exception of Lyrikal, it was a tight semi-final.
I feel like Jordan should've swapped songs; do Shake It Out this week and Dancing in The Dark last week.
As for Vangelis; Beautiful is a kiss of death song, so I knew he was in trouble.
I'll be voting for Cody next week.

Was very good. But this show has a poor audio. Vocal too low and band audio not that great too.
+André Queiroz Yes, not the first time the sound monitoring was off; unfortunately, that sort of shoddiness reflects poorly on the contestants and makes it harder for viewers to appreciate their singing.

He should have at least been third. Cody got there on the strength of her audition.
Honestly, I'm surprised that I start liking his performances. When he appeared in the quarter finals, I couldn't even remember his blind audition and battle round... His voice is so different from the others and he seems to sink into the music! But the feathers distracted me a bit. And, just as everyone here noticed, the technical arrangement of the show really lowers the whole music quality.

Aunque debo decir que estoy completamente decepcionado de esta temporada, creo que fue lejos la peor. El repertorio musical fue pobre, ni se compara con el de las anteriores temporadas, el equipo de Will es malisimo, las participantes mas interesantes dejan los shows dejando dos lugares vacantes...¿¿?? ... hubieron muchas fallas en lo que compete las reglas, una gran pena, parece que no le pusieron ganas.

Nope. But I'm guessing a guy called Vangelis? I'm 29 and to be honest I've never heard of 1492 and wasn't a massive fan of chariots of fire... You learn something new everyday I guess. I'm not too hot on my composers so it's hard to judge if he is famous or not.

+Florian Karl I figured there was a high chance you were older based on the things you listed, no need to get upset. I listened to the 1492 music and while it sounds wonderful I don't recognise it. I just found out he did the Blade runner score too and that's really good. Either way I don't think composers are that well known here and thus I wouldn't call him 'world famous' even if the music he has composed is.. Just my opinion though.
