I am not a rich man. I think it's very typical and disgusting. It is not bringing us together. It's tearing us apart. You guys tried to steal an election from me. We will never be united as far as I am alive.
He's not your cousin. He's your brother. You are my brother. I'm a 59 year old white man. Oliver's music is bringing that out of us all over the world. Love you brother!
That part. Taking my whole life to realize we are all made out of the same particles. Until we can accept the fact that we're all made out of the material that the snack pack you just bought at the store came in, we will never go anywhere. I love you brother.
Amen to that, do not let the fuckin government divide and conquer us through racial division, they did this long ago, and they succeeded, we must unite as a whole, a Nation born under a higher power to fight for what is just and persecute the wicked. It must be done. And the media, they'll try n tell yall that a backwoods hillbilly like me is a racist sum bitch, fuckin bullshit man, I've had friends of all colors and worked my fuckin ass off with fellow Mexican brothas in the vineyards and on the farms for minimum wage, hard, back breaking work in the woods, there's racist in this country no doubt my brotha, n most of em reside in that greasy town where them rich men north of Richmond are. DC
its no masterpiece... he only sing what everybody is thinking... stand up against all that gates, zuckerberg, jobs, bazzos etc pp... in a few years will will not more have the chance to do it... in a view years they controll us so much, that they know before us what we wanna do and dont let us do this... every handy, every car, every smart home control us... for that all is getting digital... if we wanna stand up, musk only have to turn down our cars, zuckerberg our internet etc pp and they can put us in 1 second back to the stone age again... and the rich ones live their life like before... but we are guilty, we buy this handys, cars, alexas... the ddr, china or sovjet union had not this control over the humans like in the world we live now and we are so stupid and pay for it... we made us a slave by our own... and the rich ones only laugh about us and our stupididy...
High school dropout, lives in a camper, worked 12 hour shifts six days a week for years in factories in North Carolina and Virginia, and was about a month sober when he recorded this. The guy is legit.
Education is worthwhile. It's easy to blame the woman down the street that's on welfare for buying fudge rounds. Yeah, she's a shitty bitch, but she didn't start this cycle of poverty. The song is good, but he blames welfare queens and I disagree with that. I'd argue that our tax dollars would be better spent on healthcare (including mental health), infrastructure, and quality but cheap education so that we can still be producers and fixers while regulating what the corporate overlords can take. Equal work for equal pay. But we spend it on the DOD and the Pentagon. That's apparently more important than bringing a kid up with a decent understanding of how the world works.
I just watched a video. He lives in a camper with a tarp on roof on his land he owes $60k on.. When he and the guy from the radio station recorded the video they we’re hoping for like 300k views.. To tell you how f’n legit this man is, he has turned down several music contracts, 1 as high as $8 million dollars because he isn’t doing it to be rich and famous, doesn’t want a bunch of tour buses and semis or a jet.. He doesn’t want to be a full time musician, he just wants to live on his homestead and live life his way and make music for like UA-cam.. The video is on country cast on UA-cam..
@@lanejohnson7656 No, none of this is true actually. If you read the KnowYourMeme entry on "Rich Men North of Richmond," you'll see that this song was written a year ago, not even by the singer himself, and was bankrolled by a right-wing media personality who supports Ron Desantis for President, he got all these big right-wing personalities to promote it and it blew up instantly over Tiktok. The singer himself works in some sort of shipping or trucking industry, he has no artist background at all. Just look it up, he's entirely a plant.
You are a 30yr old black man and I'm a 53yr old white woman. What this young man has done is make people like you and me realize that we have more in common than we could have ever imagined
I love comments like this. This is why I always try to remember why the media works so hard to make us think everyone is so divided. A united population is their biggest fear
The one line in this song that has rung like a bell the loudest for me, after seeing the various reactions and responses to it, has to be, "They think you don't know, but I know that you do." Oh, yes, Mr. Anthony. We know. And they are learning fast how much we know, since the release of this song. And it scares the living hell out of them.
Same here in Boston, Massachusetts We don't elect these people, they are selected. Democracy is dead and people need to wake up to this fact real quickly.
Three weeks ago nobody knew of him I heard yesterday he now has 5 songs in the top ten. He has now gone international reaching the working class worlwide. What a story, good for you Oliver good for you!
Even more cool is that this song doesn't necessarily reflect his current situation because the dude moved "off grid" some time ago to be a homesteader. Meaning that he's a real one, even if a modern one. This style of music has had way too many posers for too long.
We are more alike than different. But, we have political sides, both sides, that rather divide us than bring us together. The wealthy get richer, and we struggle to keep the lights on and the increase in rent.
It’s easier to control people when there are fighting each other then the system, it would be amazing how fast things could change if we all stuck together
Yeah all over the world, apparently were all facing similar issues. Just check comments on all these reactions and you will see many people from many countries who feel this song as well.
The reason this song went hyper viral is because literally everyone can relate to it. The Rich Men North of Richmond refers to the politicians in Washington D.C, which is north of Richmond, Virginia.
24 year old marine corps vet I want every American to love or at the bare minimum to treat one another with the respect that every human being deserves. and this song represents that because sometimes the greatest respect you can give is holding people accountable through the truth. So happy to see such positive comments on my favorite reactors page 🤙🏻
In God, we trust this humanity will raise above. I thank God for every soldier who scarified and served. Also, the family members who are the foundation. THANK YOU
@@mattwarren5933yes he is. He's originally from western Virginia, and lives in western North Carolina. That's right in the middle of the Appalachians. Study some geography.
He might be singing into that microphone. But he's talkin' to your soul. Not a fan of country per say, I am primarily a Metalhead. But, I am a fan of this man. Well done. 🤘🤘🤘
I grew up a metalhead and didn't get turned onto "country" until later as a musician. Some of the best musicians out there make their living playing it and many are metalheads themselves 😅 Pop country generally sucks though there's some okay stuff out there. I think you might find some really good gritty stuff that's "heavy" in its own way if you look into the Texas/western indie stuff. There's some really good classic stuff too.
A true artist can make a connection with you, this guy has reached through your speakers and grabbed your soul and shakin it awake... I think anybody from r&b, hip hop, rock and roll, metal and any type of else music can relate to this man, that's what really matters.
Old black gal here, this song is so loved because its pure, real and you feel his emotion because its our emotion..I cannot tell you a song that has brought tears to my eyes like this one..the positive reviews of this song shows maybe we aren't as divided as they want us to believe..God Bless brothers and sisters..
Politicians aren’t trying to reunite people but to separate us. If we were to be united politicians would be in trouble😄but i feel you, this song is fire🔥🔥
I live in the Appalachians of NC. I grew up here. Oliver once lived about 45 minutes from me. This is straight Appalachian Folk music. The style is indigenous to the VA, NC, SC, and GA mountains. This song is actually loved worldwide. It speaks to everyone, regardless of race or what country you live in. You said you're from SC? Hell yeah, my Southern Brother!
No one but you will see this but you…I’m a large Marine Combat Vet full of hate and discontent and this man’s music speaks to me and I cried. ‘Take Me Home’? I freakin bawled.
People all over the world listening to this ...this isn't just Rich man north of Richmond this is about the DAVOS elitists that are running all of us around..
Canadians too, brother! The working class is fed up here as well, almost 45% is taken off our cheques in taxes and we NEVER see it! People are killing themselves because life isn’t affordable here anymore. So as a blue collar Canadian, we feel your pain and we’re with you 100%
Hes reached Australia this man this is really speaking this is also happening right now in Australia! The government thinks they have it over us dont worry we here you! Power to the people ✊👊🙏❤
He posted this on his page, his name is Christopher Anthony Lunsford, Oliver Anthony was his grandfather's name and he's paying homage to him by singing under "Oliver Anthony music" It's been difficult as I browse through the 50,000+ messages and emails I've received in the last week. The stories that have been shared paint a brutally honest picture. Suicide, addiction, unemployment, anxiety and depression, hopelessness and the list goes on. Im sitting in such a weird place in my life right now. I never wanted to be a full time musician, much less sit at the top of the iTunes charts. Draven from RadioWv and I filmed these tunes on my land with the hope that it may hit 300k views. I still don't quite believe what has went on since we uploaded that. It's just strange to me. People in the music industry give me blank stares when I brush off 8 million dollar offers. I don't want 6 tour buses, 15 tractor trailers and a jet. I don't want to play stadium shows, I don't want to be in the spotlight. I wrote the music I wrote because I was suffering with mental health and depression. These songs have connected with millions of people on such a deep level because they're being sung by someone feeling the words in the very moment they were being sung. No editing, no agent, no bullshit. Just some idiot and his guitar. The style of music that we should have never gotten away from in the first place. So that being said, I have never taken the time to tell you who I actually am. Here's a formal introduction: My legal name is Christopher Anthony Lunsford. My grandfather was Oliver Anthony, and "Oliver Anthony Music" is a dedication not only to him, but 1930's Appalachia where he was born and raised. Dirt floors, seven kids, hard times. At this point, I'll gladly go by Oliver because everyone knows me as such. But my friends and family still call me Chris. You can decide for yourself, either is fine. In 2010, I dropped out of high school at age 17. I have a GED from Spruce Pine, NC. I worked multiple plant jobs in Western NC, my last being at the paper mill in McDowell county. I worked 3rd shift, 6 days a week for $14.50 an hour in a living hell. In 2013, I had a bad fall at work and fractured my skull. It forced me to move back home to Virginia. Due to complications from the injury, it took me 6 months or so before I could work again. From 2014 until just a few days ago, I've worked outside sales in the industrial manufacturing world. My job has taken me all over Virginia and into the Carolinas, getting to know tens of thousands of other blue collar workers on job sites and in factories. Ive spent all day, everyday, for the last 10 years hearing the same story. People are SO damn tired of being neglected, divided and manipulated. In 2019, I paid $97,500 for the property and still owe about $60,000 on it. I am living in a 27' camper with a tarp on the roof that I got off of craigslist for $750. There's nothing special about me. I'm not a good musician, I'm not a very good person. I've spent the last 5 years struggling with mental health and using alcohol to drown it. I am sad to see the world in the state it's in, with everyone fighting with each other. I have spent many nights feeling hopeless, that the greatest country on Earth is quickly fading away. That being said, I HATE the way the Internet has divided all of us. The Internet is a parasite, that infects the minds of humans and has their way with them. Hours wasted, goals forgotten, loved ones sitting in houses with each other distracted all day by technology made by the hands of other poor souls in sweat shops in a foreign land. When is enough, enough? When are we going to fight for what is right again? MILLIONS have died protecting the liberties we have. Freedom of speech is such a precious gift. Never in world history has the world had the freedom it currently does. Don't let them take it away from you. Just like those once wandering in the desert, we have lost our way from God and have let false idols distract us and divide us. It's a damn shame.
Oliver Anthony said something that resonated on some level for about 80% of the country. I’ve never been so captivated by a song as I have with this song.
Well the us government has been trying to modify not just Americans lives for there benefit for a long time toppling government and forcing change overseas
I've watched 50 reaction videos to Oliver Anthony's "Rich Men North of Richmond." I have to say that I enjoyed your reaction more than all the others. I'm a white dude who became "color blind" from years in the military. It is completely refreshing that millions are experiencing the same reaction to this anthem. Thank you for your great work and encouraging others to "put big energy into their lives."
I'm a 74 year old white male. I've been watching black reviewers of this guy all day. No judgment on him cause he's white, just respect for him saying the truth. Just the facts man. Hope he can bring us all together, white, black, brown, yellow, red. We're brothers. Respect all the black reviewers because I see no prejudice. Great review and great reaction. Keep it tight, brother!
Only haters pushing the division care about his color. I’ve been binge watching reaction videos and have seen countless black people full of emotions listening with tears in their eyes with nothing but praise. Many saying “protect this man”.. Eyes are the window to the soul and I watched one beautiful lady with some amazing beautiful eyes break down in tears as a white guy out in the woods armed with only a guitar, mic, camera, a couple dogs and a song reached thru here speakers and touched her soul. It displayed she is beautiful clear deep in her bones. She didn’t give a ratzazz what color his skin is.
It's been eye-opening to see how these mega-corporations and legacy media have been hating on this song. Stay strong, folks! Doesn't matter where you are, what your skin color is, or how you identify - this song is FOR US ALL.
@@michaelriddick7116as me grandad said “little one .. people thrive from a divide. Don’t let the divide win” this was when talking about his past when he left Ireland and came to England.
I just put out a video talking about this too. I think I'm going to do another one because the articles they're writing about this song are just getting it ALL wrong. I haven't seen a liberal out there complaining about this - this song speaks to ALL of us but the ones in control, the string pullers, they don't WANT us to come together because the moment we do, they know their days are numbered. We have to keep this moment alive and kicking.
I don't hate people on welfare. Even if they're abusing it. The margin of tax dollars wasted isn't worth arguing over. We should be arguing over DOD and Pentagon wasted tax payer money. It's a good song up until he calls out "Welfare Queens." That's some old school Reaganomics. Don't worry about the billions going to the corporations that disappear, worry about the millions wasted by welfare and social security and medicare.
This man united millions around the world with his song and his pain, something no government has/will ever do! Sending you all love from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤️
I’ve listened to this song 100 times and still get goose bumps and chills. We all need to come together and stop letting the elites use us. Check out his song ‘I’ve got to get sober’
I felt it when you said "That same energy you put into your job, put that same energy into your dream" you earned your fans and my subscription, Thank you
Im from South Africa and this still resonates with us! This man is 🔥 and spits strait facts the whole world need to hear !! Much love Oliver all the way from Africa !
Much love from sunny Florida. I remarked to a friend the other day, I don't care what corner of the world you live in, there are Richmond north of somewhere who are running your life the very same way. And they don't think you know, but I know that you do - whether in English or Afrikaans or any language spoken by by people who are tired of being played like cards.
Oliver just became sober about 1 month ago. He hit his knees and cried out to God to help him. This was the first time he sang into a microphone. He always just sang into his cell phone. People all over the world are loving Oliver and this song. This song is a Rally Cry for the Working class people.
He keeps amazing me. He is so humble and down to earth. Cuts himself way short. He has turned down a few record deals, 1 for $8million because he doesn’t want to be a famous full time musician with tour buses, semis and a jet. He wants to live a simple life on his land, live life on his terms and make the music he wants on his time.. He lives on land out in the woods obviously in a camper with a tarp on the roof that he owes $60k. He could obviously use the money, but he doesn’t want that life.. You can’t get anymore real, legit and down to earth than that.. Hopefully we will be getting more great music from him that is relatable because he gave the finger to the big money trying to cash in on him.. For anyone reading this he can use some subs on his own UA-cam channel Oliver Anthony Music. It’s a damn shame the radio station video that went viral has like 19M views, but his subscriber count on his channel is like 286k. Granted that’s basically 286k more than when this video went viral..
I worried the pressure is going to be to much for him.. just imagine what this has been like for Chris. That's his real name buy the way . His grandpa was named Oliver. He has already turned down .. 8 million dollar contract
Oliver Anthony is uniting us all. I love the fact that he rejected an 8 million offer to sign with a company because he's not trying to be famous. He wants to share his message so we can all wake the hell up
No one knew about this guy until last week. He just came out of no where. No record label, no producers--just a man with an acoustic guitar and a raw voice.
@@adj789 He has turned down a few labels trying to cash in on him. 1 offer was 8 million. He lives on 90 acres in a camper with a tarp on the roof that he still owes $60k on. I'm a "Gen X", my teenage years were in the 90s and music was my foundation. I just want to say thank you for your appreciation of all the different types of music. You definitely have an Gen X soul 😂. Sending Good Vibes and Stay Blessed
Bro, this song has been on fire in Tennessee. It’s hit a nerve with literally everyone I know. Between this song and Try That In a Small Town, people are ready to fight. Even my momma’s feeling it, and she’s almost 70.
Brit here, this song resonates with me so much here in the UK. Taxes through the roof, cost of living I just not affordable for 30% of the country, and the fat case in Westminster just take take take from the ordinary man. 😢
He turned down an $8 mil record deal. Hes legit. He sings from the heart and doesn't care what big names or companies wanna pay him for his music. His own music company is in recognition of his father. Hes nit letting them buy him and put him under their control. Definitely touching souls and making the world realize and wake up.
He turned down their bribe money and gained double the respect he already had. We all know why they offered him that deal: he couldn’t be shouted down by the talking heads, so now they’re trying to buy his silence. Here’s hoping that whatever they try next doesn’t cause him more harm than what they’ve already done, or there’s a real good chance of this turning ugly.
He just uploaded a new video where he touches on just how terrible the music industry is, far worse than you think. I am so glad God has blessed this man with discernment and a voice. I love that he opens a live show by reading scripture.
I’ve been working in a factory for 13 years working 12 hr shifts and lots of overtime just make enough to provide for my family. This song is very relatable and he’s speaking the truth.
Factory work is so under appreciated most of the time you don’t make enough even though one wrong step could get you killed I had a factory job it was hard work
His voice is heartbreaking you can feel every bit of his pain and anguish in his soul in his voice and it drags up all of yours listening to him This is our warrior cry we all need to come together everyone from the Rez to the rock unite and fight ❤A’HO ❤

I'm 52 never saw a song connect people all over the world. Just wait until people start learning income, property taxes are unconstitutional. And law. Government makes us think there is.
I was born in 1984 and it hurts the hearts of those who have seen the world deteriorate overtime And how far gone we have become in just a few short years very sad
'77 and I'm trying to move to South America. I'm over it man. This isn't the place where I grew up anymore and I don't want my kids force fed all the lefty shit. Going where the people are more traditional, dare I say more conservative lol. Colombia here we come baby.
Yep....changed a lot from '84. Definitely 180° turn from my 1960 birth. But was it better pre-2000, or were we more easily duped? Pre-internet, it was easier to keep things hidden.
I'm 32 and just got done with 14 years of military service and feel like in today's society, I don't belong. It's a weird feeling. Listening to this song I was like yup! Hits you right in your feels.
Of course you belong, you’re an American and we lean on each other. We also protect our country and you have to be one of the strongest belongers to defend my freedom our freedoms.. Thank you for your service, from my family to yours.🇺🇸
Every once in a while, I have to go find this reaction and watch it again. Your sincere, intelligent words. Holds me up. Props us up. We all help each other, and you help SO MUCH. You are precious, so amazing... love you so much. Keep on going. 💗🙏🏻💜🌷💗
You do have an old soul, my guy... I'm a 40 year old U.S. Marine, and I kinda look up to you in a way. Mainly because when you watch something, you ACTUALLY try to understand what the singer is saying. That's why I've been a fan of your channel for years. I think the more men we have like you making it in the world, the better off this world will be. Cheers & God Bless.
That new world old soul line hits hard man. I'm 31 and was raised in a very respect/tradition style house. I went out in the new world and felt like a kangaroo in a penguin enclosure.
I'm also in my 30's. I see these kids today and main thing i notice is... they have no respect anymore. No respect for people older than them, no respect for authority, no respect for other's property... America, what the fk happened?
I love how this man honored his grandfather's name. He didn't make his own name famous but instead the name of his grandfather and the soul of the Appalachians in a modern song.
I don't listen to country type music much but I've listened to this song everyday for a week. He is singing with nothing but EMOTION and truths, and nothing has sounded more beautiful to me and he's not afraid to touch on the sensitive subject, this freaking country.
Resonating with people all over the world...just when we needed something....❤ the honesty and the pain we share...across all categories and groups....cried like a 2 yr old when I heard this
This song resonetes to younger guys here in Finland. Yeah, we´re miles apart, but people are the same. Cheers to you and everyone. Stay strong and love each other.
I'm an American who lived in Japan for 8 years (4 in the Air Force and 6 with my wife who is Japanese) and when i came back to the US in 2022, I was shocked. I still have no idea what happened.
The conviction and sorrow in his voice is something anyone can relate to. You see it rap, metal, rock, you name the genre. Hardship is something we all can relate too
Incredible. We need as much of this type of music from as many genres as we can get. The “rich men north of Richmond” manufactured a war between “people like you and me” and music is the best way to organically bring people back together.
I'm an old soul, 69 years old, I'm white male, I cry, seeings people from all races relating to this song, I pray, this will bring everyone together, especially at this time in our world. It's time to vote, the bad ones out, and the good ones in. We must all vote. GOD BLESS YOU ALL Peace out
No we need to reset our government. Everyone kicked out and new ones hired with stricter laws against them. We need it codified in law that the communities audit them, and if found ineffective, inefficient, and/or immoral then they get hanged. No more firing or arresting.(we sell our lives for our income and its stolen only to fund things we never asked for) Just fix it there on the spot and the next one better remember what happened to those before him.
There is an new plan to take back all voting across the planet. Follow Mr. Mike Lindell. Him and and other patriots have just invented a new piece of technology that will prove the voting machines are on the internet. This news was just released this week!
Oliver is lifting our souls in solidarity. Music has the power of stirring our emotions an when you hear such a purely authentic song that honestly addresses the times we’re in it resonates an creates a community. That’s how Oliver’s song makes me feel. This is what we fight for our community, country, our people an most importantly our children
I think that the one thing that draws so many people to this song and endears it to them is the authenticity. We are so starved for authenticity, and this man comes along and really gives us a huge dose of it
Oliver Anthony has finally put to music what we've all been feeling. It's got to be the working man's anthem and banner that we all need to get behind.
I’m just trying to provide for my family. Imma old hood white guy. I don’t fit in anywhere and I’m good with that but they are turning us against each other and it breaks my heart. Little Rock Arkansas to Seattle Washington.
Has anybody noticed, and I’m sure those of us who care have, that over the past 3 to 4 months there has been a movement taking place in our country Centered around new music from artist who are telling the truth with their music and standing up for the values this country was built on. We are all brothers and sisters, the truth doesn’t need defending and Oliver is singing the truth. Great song!
I think it's because we most people believe we can't voice our opinions so we find those who we can put on a platform in hopes that their words will speak for us. But in reality we need to stand with them and prove that we mean it.
It kicked off with the devastating boycotts earlier this year when people finally had enough of insanity being pushed in their faces. Twitter (now “X”) being made a true free-speech platform has accelerated it, as the echo chamber there got suddenly shattered and people began realizing they’re nowhere near as isolated in their thinking as they imagined. Main anchors on Fox and CNN being canned for telling the truth, only to turn around and rake in more views than ever before by simply continuing the same honesty in a private setting gave people hope that others higher up see this too. It’s been slowly, but surely snowballing ever since. Change is coming, for better or for worse.
I have watched close to 40 reaction videos of Rich Men North of Richmond. Yours was the first, and is the only one I have watched twice. You paid attention to what was really being said, and caught everything. You were focused on him, and not your image- the message, and not your own ego. That's rare, and very special. Anyways, spread the word, and help who you can. Peace. ❤
I'll never forget what libs/dems did to us for 2 years epstine list. No, this is made to calm emotions but not forget. I don't want peace with those people. I want civil war 💯
He’s turned down 8,000,000$ deals already proving just how real he is. Excellent reaction as always Shaq you’re one of the realist too, and definitely an old soul. 🔥⚔️🔥
The line about the rise in young men "putting themselves 6 feet in the ground" because the country is "kicking them down" hits very close for me as a veteran for this country. We lost our way and it deeply saddens me. I wish my countrymen would stop hating each other and realize us doing that is giving the rich men north of Richmond exactly what they want.
I’ve been out 3 years from the Marines and I’ve lost 3 friends to suicide and knew 2 others from my company it sucks how you just don’t know even when I was keeping up with them. There’s always battles when home but your brothers are always a call away
I lost my little brother to suicide in September 2021. That line hit me hard too. He was 24 and i begged my parents not to cremate him, but bury him so I could go and visit him when I was newly grieving. He had autism so he was mentally closer to 15 than 24. He was a typical guy in a lot of ways and told that a lot of things he did were problematic by everyone. including my feminist mother. He was a hard worker, very responsible, never called out of work, helped pay bills, loving, kind to animals and people that most people don't bother acknowledging like homeless people or socially awkward people, he called his sister everyday and he genuinely cared. I wish things happened differently.
@@meowinde My condolences to you and your family, my brother. I wish for your pain to subside as you keep focusing on the best parts of your brother's life. Thank you for sharing how your brother added good and blessed the world. Peace and Love to you

Can we all take a minute to appreciate what “getting out of the city” can do for an Old Soul? The deep woods, your 2 dogs, a deer blind, and a mic… brings forth buried truths that can no longer be denied.
Oliver Anthony is bringing us all together ❤we are all brothers and sisters here and I can't get enough of this! Thanks for doing this one bro. Fantastic
Best overall off the chart review dude!! Finally, someone who feels the anguish, the passion and the love from lyrics. Thanks for sharing.. definitely a song where outside differences are ignored.. and the gut truth is revealed!! Love it!
A song that's being heard and felt around the world. Pure truth!! 30 yrs old lol young man, the song hit you like it did me. The only difference is that I've known this for a long time. Give this man's music a listen, all of them. Also give his 9 + minute video of him explaining where it all comes from. Much respect from an retired truck driver/ Biker.
Those rich men north of Richmond hate the fact we all, ALL OF US, love this song and message.
I am not a rich man. I think it's very typical and disgusting. It is not bringing us together. It's tearing us apart.
You guys tried to steal an election from me. We will never be united as far as I am alive.
And their rich buddies in the media in LA and New York and Washington are terrified about it.
Good.

Well said my friend.
My exact thoughts brother.
True words! Finally! We have the world stage with thee most perfect message! God, love, unity, and country!
FACTS!
That part. Taking my whole life to realize we are all made out of the same particles. Until we can accept the fact that we're all made out of the material that the snack pack you just bought at the store came in, we will never go anywhere. I love you brother.
I haven't cried since 2004 when my Mother died. I did today. Everything Mr. Oliver said was true. I'm black, but this man speaks for all colors!!
Amen to that, do not let the fuckin government divide and conquer us through racial division, they did this long ago, and they succeeded, we must unite as a whole, a Nation born under a higher power to fight for what is just and persecute the wicked. It must be done. And the media, they'll try n tell yall that a backwoods hillbilly like me is a racist sum bitch, fuckin bullshit man, I've had friends of all colors and worked my fuckin ass off with fellow Mexican brothas in the vineyards and on the farms for minimum wage, hard, back breaking work in the woods, there's racist in this country no doubt my brotha, n most of em reside in that greasy town where them rich men north of Richmond are. its no masterpiece... he only sing what everybody is thinking... stand up against all that gates, zuckerberg, jobs, bazzos etc pp... in a few years will will not more have the chance to do it... in a view years they controll us so much, that they know before us what we wanna do and dont let us do this... every handy, every car, every smart home control us... for that all is getting digital... if we wanna stand up, musk only have to turn down our cars, zuckerberg our internet etc pp and they can put us in 1 second back to the stone age again... and the rich ones live their life like before... but we are guilty, we buy this handys, cars, alexas... the ddr, china or sovjet union had not this control over the humans like in the world we live now and we are so stupid and pay for it... we made us a slave by our own... and the rich ones only laugh about us and our stupididy...
It just pulls that pain right out of you and shows it to you..

Chokes me up every time I hear it, knowing this is what my kids are growing up in.

This song has caught fire even in NY, and that says something. He’s struck a chord with everyday people.
it's a Battle cry for the middle class!
More like an anthem.

Same here in Boston, Massachusetts
We don't elect these people, they are selected. Democracy is dead and people need to wake up to this fact real quickly.
Wtf is NY in a different country now? Lmfao this song has reached other country's dude.
“People like me, and people like you” he is speaking to all of us .. white, black, brown.. all of us are going through what he is singing about.

Same.
I grew up a metalhead and didn't get turned onto "country" until later as a musician. Some of the best musicians out there make their living playing it and many are metalheads themselves 😅
Pop country generally sucks though there's some okay stuff out there. I think you might find some really good gritty stuff that's "heavy" in its own way if you look into the Texas/western indie stuff. There's some really good classic stuff too.

He posted this on his page, his name is Christopher Anthony Lunsford, Oliver Anthony was his grandfather's name and he's paying homage to him by singing under "Oliver Anthony music"
It's been difficult as I browse through the 50,000+ messages and emails I've received in the last week.
Here's a formal introduction:
My legal name is Christopher Anthony Lunsford.

I'm a 58 year old white woman who is full of hope witnessing this love..God just wants us to turn away fro. the hate that this country is using to divide us. Thank you and Keep spreading your message!
There isn't hate in the country, there is false hate projected by the media....
I'm 52 never saw a song connect people all over the world.
Just wait until people start learning income, property taxes are unconstitutional.
And law. Government makes us think there is.
@@80sfanjkI'm pretty sure alot people know this, but fear keeps them from fighting it.
Me too, Denise!
@@dsoldier9227no most people dont know
I was born in 1984 and it hurts the hearts of those who have seen the world deteriorate overtime And how far gone we have become in just a few short years very sad
Facts.
86 Here man, and you ain't lying.
'77 and I'm trying to move to South America. I'm over it man. This isn't the place where I grew up anymore and I don't want my kids force fed all the lefty shit. Going where the people are more traditional, dare I say more conservative lol. Colombia here we come baby.
It’s not a lie when people say shit was better pre 9/11
Yep....changed a lot from '84. Definitely 180° turn from my 1960 birth.
But was it better pre-2000, or were we more easily duped? Pre-internet, it was easier to keep things hidden.
I'm 32 and just got done with 14 years of military service and feel like in today's society, I don't belong. It's a weird feeling. Listening to this song I was like yup! Hits you right in your feels.
At least we are pushing trans rights in Russia!!
Thank you for your service.
Welcome home brother.
Of course you belong, you’re an American and we lean on each other. We also protect our country and you have to be one of the strongest belongers to defend my freedom our freedoms.. Thank you for your service, from my family to yours.🇺🇸
They are not pushing anything gay or trans in Russia! Unless that was sarcasm... Do your research lol.
You can hear the pin and sorrow in his voice. God bless this true Patriot.
This song gives me hope we can turn things around in this country
That means we the people have to take a stand.
@@ironbludThis is the hill.
this isnt just ur country bro. This is worldwide
Art like this song will bring out the America we've all dreamed of.
That new world old soul line hits hard man. I'm 31 and was raised in a very respect/tradition style house. I went out in the new world and felt like a kangaroo in a penguin enclosure.
Yeah, and no matter how fast you adapt, it takes a long time to catch up.
I miss the old days...
I'm also in my 30's. I see these kids today and main thing i notice is... they have no respect anymore. No respect for people older than them, no respect for authority, no respect for other's property... America, what the fk happened?
@@BLaCkKsHeEp couldn't have said that better myself!! It really is a shame.
Try it at 71.
I love how this man honored his grandfather's name. He didn't make his own name famous but instead the name of his grandfather and the soul of the Appalachians in a modern song.
And hasn't given an interview or talked about a record deal
@juliagrant3299 he truned down 8 mil -John Rich is stepping up & helping him.
I've listened to this song multiple times now and it hits different each time. Glad to see so many people love this song.
Frr this one of my favorite songs right now
Dang Oliver! 😳😳😳... Mane spilled all his heart into this song and EEEEEEEEVERYBODY can relate
The song we all needed right now. The talent, the setting, the emotion, and the message hits hard. Wishing this man the best.
I don't listen to country type music much but I've listened to this song everyday for a week. He is singing with nothing but EMOTION and truths, and nothing has sounded more beautiful to me and he's not afraid to touch on the sensitive subject, this freaking country.
Resonating with people all over the world...just when we needed something....❤ the honesty and the pain we share...across all categories and groups....cried like a 2 yr old when I heard this
Thank you for your description of how you feel as an old soul in a new world. I 100% feel you. The media hates that. There's a lot of us! 🙏🏻❤️
I feel that so much too
This song resonetes to younger guys here in Finland. Yeah, we´re miles apart, but people are the same. Cheers to you and everyone. Stay strong and love each other.
Same here in Canada brother
@@imdevon7ur Another Canuck here, this guy is spitting truth. Only thing he didn't mention is how unbelievably fucked the housing market is.
Hardship is something we all can relate too
This man is saying what we are all feeling. Believe that!!! ❤❤❤❤
This song hits for sure. He’s speaking the truth about many of the problems happening right now. Loving this Oliver Anthony guy
Incredible. We need as much of this type of music from as many genres as we can get. The “rich men north of Richmond” manufactured a war between “people like you and me” and music is the best way to organically bring people back together.
Amen
100%
I'm an old soul, 69 years old, I'm white male, I cry, seeings people from all races relating to this song, I pray, this will bring everyone together, especially at this time in our world. It's time to vote, the bad ones out, and the good ones in. We must all vote. GOD BLESS YOU ALL
Peace out
We must all demand the count of votes be public - no more machines no more shady rooms. PUBLIC COUNTING ALWAYS AND ONLY
No we need to reset our government.
There is no political solution to make things right. People's need to wake up and it's over for them.
There is an new plan to take back all voting across the planet. Follow Mr. Mike Lindell. Him and and other patriots have just invented a new piece of technology that will prove the voting machines are on the internet. This news was just released this week!
@@educatedgypsee2351You to make our votes public information?
Oliver is lifting our souls in solidarity. Music has the power of stirring our emotions an when you hear such a purely authentic song that honestly addresses the times we’re in it resonates an creates a community. That’s how Oliver’s song makes me feel. This is what we fight for our community, country, our people an most importantly our children
Absolutely wonderful to see his message resonating as much with so many people.
I think that the one thing that draws so many people to this song and endears it to them is the authenticity. We are so starved for authenticity, and this man comes along and really gives us a huge dose of it

This man personifies country...Him, a mic, lawn chair, dogs and a deer blind in the back...love it ❤
Oliver Anthony has finally put to music what we've all been feeling. It's got to be the working man's anthem and banner that we all need to get behind.
WOW...JUST WOW!
Summed it all up in one sentence: "YOU HEAR THE CONVICTION." This is not a contrived message its a real message that comes from the heart.
You can't fake real pain, and you definitely feel it. If you don't feel his pain listening to his music, you ain't even human.
Regardless of any musical genre of preference. This song is so pure and REAL. This is completely undeniable.
I literally cannot wait for the day when this song gets played in public and EVERYONE BLACK OR WHITE STARTS TO SING ALONG TOGETHER! ❤
Already happening brother.
They played part of it at the GOP Primary a few weeks ago. This song was one of the first topics discussed by political hopefuls.
I’m just trying to provide for my family. Imma old hood white guy. I don’t fit in anywhere and I’m good with that but they are turning us against each other and it breaks my heart. Little Rock Arkansas to Seattle Washington.
the play it on 96.7 the merle WMYL Radio station here in knoxville tn
AMEN!!!!!
The great awakening is happening that's why. Those of us who have known for decades are smiling right now at this awakening.
@@nickgoodwin5189Amen 🙏 It's beautiful watching my friends wake up to what I've been saying for years
I have watched close to 40 reaction videos of Rich Men North of Richmond. Yours was the first, and is the only one I have watched twice. You paid attention to what was really being said, and caught everything. You were focused on him, and not your image- the message, and not your own ego. That's rare, and very special. Anyways, spread the word, and help who you can. Peace. ❤
You are right, this guy is going to need our support because they def gonna come after him somehow.
I’m going through the comments and it’s absolutely amazing how this song is bringing EVERYONE Together!!!
Thats why the media and corporate shills hate it!! Cant have folks coming together 😢
The power of music! 🎧🇨🇦🎶
Completely agree. F the men north of Richmond. They are taking from everyone.
Kid? I'm 50 and I'm not old! Keep uniting us!
I'll never forget what libs/dems did to us for 2 years epstine list. No, this is made to calm emotions but not forget. I don't want peace with those people. I want civil war 💯
His voice speaks pain and passion. Any person of conviction can feel that! Much love from Tennessee.
He’s turned down 8,000,000$ deals already proving just how real he is. Excellent reaction as always Shaq you’re one of the realist too, and definitely an old soul. 🔥⚔️🔥
His music.speaks to our soul!

This one song, has the whole world on notice. People from different countries are absolutely loving it.
