I feel like the prep thing also is a spiderman thing. He generally uses time and his intellect to defeat much stronger enemies .
Im sure Batman is better at info gathering than Spiderman. So I believe Batman would be able to gather more info/weakness frome spidey than spidey from Batman

Suddenly he’s a LOT less intimidating. Watch GL and Bats vs Superman. Without kryptonite/Red Sun rays, Batman gets smoked.
Yea i agree, Batman’s IQ is 192 while Spider-Man’s is 250. So if they both had prep time i feel like Spider-Man has a really good chance.

But considering the fact Batman is a mere mortal yet has still beaten super powered foes, I'd say he's pretty impressive and think he'd fare just fine in the marvel universe. Hell he's the equivalent of marvels task master if you look at it. And no dur everyone's better with some prep time however Batman is the prep time expert due to his elite tactician skills. He might lose the battle but he'd come back winning the war. All due to batman's greatest asset, his brain.

Batman can beat Godzilla if he gets prep time. The whole point of a versus battle is not having that. Pick a winner. This "depending" and "if he get that" are mainly to avoid negative comments. Or should I say, we all know you wanna pick Batman, but you know Spider-Man is somewhat superior.
actually if batman knows that theres someone who's a threat to humanity out there he makes a fail safe for him, In that way he can defeat anyone(almost), usually all others dont do that, that is actually his uniqueness, thats y in every batfight the topic of preptime comes out

I am saying that if spidey is in DC universe theres no need of preptime, if bat knows his existance he would make a plan to take him down. since its not the case everyone wants to point out about preptime, usually he doesnt need prep time.
Yes spidey is superior but only in strength,not mind and body(physique), and winning doesnt depend on that. they both also use their surroundings,
versus battle can be in any way, who said that it should be a direct faceoff, usually when someone says about a versus battle they give the conditions about the battle(like preptime,gadgets,which version of the character etc) eg : look at some fights in comicvine

Batman and Spider-Man are my favorite characters ever. Which is why I got tattoos of both!!! But to say my opinion, I feel like Spider-Man would win in either situation if Batman had prep time or not. Batman is incredible but even he can't find a solution for the spider sense. I feel like a lot of people believe Batman is the only one who knows when to retreat and prep for the future while his opponents just shrug him off till the next time so Batman can beat them. The truth is that Spider-Man is also incredibly intelligent. He too knows when to back from a fight he knows he isn't going to win. And also studies his opponent preparing how ever he can for the next confrontation. the only real thing Batman beats Spider-Man in is resources and money. In my opinion, Spider-Man would win every time.
You also have to think about the fact that the spider sense just tells him that danger is around, your not taking Into account how fast he would have to move to get out of the way, if the spider sense is really as OP as your acting like it is, saying Batman couldn't do anything against him spider man would never get hit in any fight he has ever been in ever
@@bbad813 Spider-Man rarely gets hit, the sense makes him Dodge. That’s why Spideman can doge bullets and lasers with out having to look or even know that he’s about to be shot at it will just trigger the reaction for him to doge in all the right places. It’s like an instinct

I think you're forgetting that this is a "who would win in a fight" not "who would win in a fight if they meet, separate, prep, then meet again". Saying Batman has the Hellbat suit is moot when in the comics it states that Batman gets drained while using it. So of course Batman isn't going to just be patrolling the city In it.
Which brings me to my other point. If they met and began fighting, do you not know the speed and skill Spider-Man has? Not only does his spider sense help him in fights, but he trained with Shang Chi when his spider sense was gone to train and master his skill. Spider-Man ended up creating and mastering his own Martial Art called The Way of the Spider. Which is deadly and counters every martial art without his spider sense, but nearly impossible to beat with the spider sense. Batman would realize he can't go toe to toe and will try to get away, but that brings up another problem. To actually get away, he's going to have to create distance, which is difficult when your opponent can move faster than you can begin to register.
By the time Batman realizes he needs to dip out of there, Spider-Man would've already been overwhelming him with his speed, strength and skill.
If this was a death battle, all Spider-Man would have to do is throw one punch without holding back, and Batman is done. Wouldn't be hard since batman leave a huge target, which is his chin.
If in a bizarre scenario prep time was needed(which is every Batman fanboy argument ever as to how he would win), both characters would get it. Batman isn't the only hero ever to prep and track hai opponent. Spider-Man has done the exact thing countless time. I don't see how Spider-Man would have trouble finding out the batcave, that Batman is Bruce Wayne and what he has as his arsenal. Prepping and creating are what both these characters do. It's just that one has the ability to end the fight before it really even starts.

I get without prep time, Batman would lose, but if Batman has prep-time I don’t see why he won’t use some of his most powerful suits to take down Spiderman. Batman with prep-time can use suits that he used before to take down people like Darkseid or The Justice League. I get that Spiderman is also fast and strong, but Batman with his suits are able to beatdown Darkseid and react to someone as fast as Flash. His suits are also very durable to the point if even Spiderman went all out with one punch it would have little effect.
I agree Spiderman beats Batman with no prep time, but I disagree when you said Batman lose against Spiderman with prep time.

I love both equally, but Spider-Man would win, hands down.
My reason, and I'm not sure if this has been brought up yet so I apologize if it has, is Spidey's Way of the Spider fighting style he developed with Shang Chi's help in the Spider-Island saga due to the loss of his spider-sense. It's a unique fighting style, and like they said in the Death Battle video, Spider-Man could overcome Batman's own fighting style with it, especially when it's combined with his spider-sense.
Even if Spider-Man’s fighting style isn’t as good as Batman, his superhuman strength would be enough to overcome Batman in any hand to hand combat

Batman is more intelligent. He has a vast amount of resources, has the knowledge to beat almost anyone with enough prep time, etc... However, I think in a straight up fight, Batman has no chance at all... Spider-Man's strength wouldn't really be the biggest problem. But Spider-Man's spider-sense is a HUGE advantage. Batman can't really counter that.

Actually, when they first met, Mysterio invented 2 gases, which blocked the spider sense, and dissolved his web. Batman could easily make something similar if he had the time

You said "Spider-Man's strength wouldn't really be the biggest problem," but you forgot that Spider-Man's punches has enough impact to kill a human being. In this case, Batman.
I kind of agree, but the facts are Spiderman is faster, stronger, more agile and you can't sneak up on him. Spiderman can literally dodge bullets and juggle cars. There is no possible way, with both of them in their regular attire, for Batman to win. Even with prep time, that means Spiderman gets prep, too, and his prep game is insane as well. Some of the suits he's built are straight up too much for Batman.

Well... the whole point of prep time is that he WOULDN'T be "in his regular attire".
The simplest way for Spider-Man to win a fight is to restrain an opponent through his webs. But if Batman had prep time, he could almost definitely develop something to dissolve those webs. And with enough information, he could even beat the Spider Sense.
The thing is, that give Batman an unfair bias. If you give him prep time, you'd have to do the same for Spider-Man, and he's smart enough to change up his basic weapons in anticipation, and develop a few gadgets of his own.
The point is that with and without prep time, it's two completely different fights, and the two have nothing to do with each other.

It's when characters suddenly forget about their own powers/ don't use their powers to their full extent and suddenly act like total idiots, mostly for the sake of the plot. This usually happens to make lesser powered characters a challenge for higher powered characters.
Examples:
- Thor getting knocked out by an ordinary gunshot
- Dormammu being harmed by Cyclops
- Spider-Man beating Firelord
- Batman surviving a fight a Darkseid
- Batman punching Flash out of the Speed Force without any tech or gadgets
etc.

I don't think prep time would even be enough for Batman to win, since Spider-man would also have to have prep time and Peter Parker is a genius problem solver. What ever Batman could come up with to minimize Spider-man's abilities, Spider-man would figure out a way to work around. I'm a fan of both books and I think Spider-man holds all the cards in this fight. Good analysis though.

@@grudgematch6653 most of that though is likely money and factories and shit. Mind much of batmans intellect is propped up by his functionally unending resources.
Chances are it there would be two versions though, the original plan would be forcing spiderman into a closed space, and using a gas, which would eventually either force Spiderman's powers out, or make spiderman hold his breath. Of course this would mean the exits are blocked but the backup plan would most likely be a syringe he would inject into spiderman to stop the powers. And Spiderman's suit isn't bulletproof.
What if they both had prep time? As a matter of fact, what if they both had a full year of prep time? Spiderman wins in my opinion 😀

Also Batman's best tactics, stealth and surprise, are completely negated by the Spider Sense and he has no counter for Spidey's webbing once he's trapped in it. Batman can't drug him either, since Spider-Man is highly resistant to gases and toxins thx to his spider powers.

There have been several Batman Vs Spider-Man "who would win" comparos.
Basically the overall consensus is Spider-Man.
Sure if Batman had enough "prep time", he might be able to beat Spider-Man. But that, in itself, is NOT a guarantee. Mostly because Spider-Man is not only extremely intelligent and SMART, he needs little to no prep time.
Spider-Man usually aces his opponents very quickly. Most of the time, if Spider-man can not beat an opponent in short order, usually within the day or couple of days, it is usually because, Spider-man's got other things to deal with and/or the opponent runs away. Only truly overpowering opponents or those who really have made really good plans can beat Spider-Man even then he usually has back-up or has figured out his opponent enough to survive or even comeback to beat them.
Batman can not really plan for Spider-man's sheer mental flexibility. Batman operates on the assumption his opponent will do ONLY one or a few very predictable things. Spider-Man just does not operate like that. He can't and doesn't. Spider-Man has defeated countless opponents who were more powerful and/or neutralized his abilities in part or totally.
Spider-Man also fights from the position of an underdog, as if victory is not a foregone conclusion, so he rarely makes assumptions and is always looking for a way to win. This is Batman's biggest weakness and his hubris. He goes in with a plan, expecting his opponents to have very fixed behaviors and simple strategies, and if it doesn't work (thank the writers they always work) then Batman is SCREWED. Honestly, Batman would be chow for Kingpin or the Hand in a fortnight, in MARVEL's New York.
The fact that Spider-Man works faster, physically and mentally, and is so "on the spot" adaptable, means Batman would lose to him, even with prep time. Batman just is not that good.

I normally hate it when Batman is in these fights because without prior knowledge of his opponent he doesn't stand a chance against most superheroes(and yes Spiderman too). However I firmly believe that batman can defeat any superhero with prep time (other than the ones that change/freeze time in an instant because that's just unfair). Not only does Batman have the means to put away superheroes like superman (kryptonite) he has surrounded himself with allies to help him. Some people would say that using allies defeats the whole purpose of the fight but I believe that you have to be pretty stupid to go into a fight with superman without help, which is very available to Batman. Batman has countless sidekicks and is friends with many superheroes. If Batman did not have the means to defeat someone, I doubt he's dumb enough to fight them anyways without help. So in this fight with SpiderMan, Batman would lose in a 1 on 1 fight obviously, but what would Spiderman do against Batman and Nightwing at the same time which only takes about 2 seconds for Batman to set up.....

Deathstroke is meta human and widely considered to be the best tactician in the (dc) world. Hes basically captain america who kills and has all kinds of op weapons. Not hard to believe his healing factor and suit were able to outpace batman or allow his 9x faster then normal brain to get the better of him

Batman has defeated a speed god in a quickdraw contest, punches through walls and can find a weakness to almost anything. However, in Bats' case, "prep-time" is an excuse for letting him win. Sometimes they just say "I was prepared" and they literally made him say "Because I'm Batman". Sure, he can upgrade himself temporarily, booby trap, set up specific moves, force his target into whats basically a hunting zone, and exploit any and all weaknesses to major effect, but that doesn't go too far against Spider-Man.

As batman just wouldn't be too ready for spiderman. We've even seen spiderman surprise himself with just extremely quick thinking on his feet. Spiderman also has greater raw intellect. Spiderman's spidey senses also stop any sneak attack or advantages batman's gadgets give him. Spiderman surpasses him in all physical aspects including body mass. Even with preparations spiderman would do the same for batman. At best with preparation spiderman and batman would come to deadlock in a predetermined fight. If not Spiderman would come out on top and spiderman would of course win in a first meet up as we have seen batman "lose" to new enemies.
If Spider-Man gives time to Batman to prepare, Batman will definelly make a spray/poison to temporary jam Spidey's Spidersense, after that Batman would be able to use his best 2 advantages: Strategy and Stealth.
In a quick fight with 0 preparation Batman would lose hard, and im afraid that since he could actually hurt Spider-Man a bit, Spidey might go too hard on him and unintentionally kill him.

Spider-Man is not a real fighting skilled character, he did rely on his Spider Sense more than once.

I like how people are saying Batman would win with prep time but forget that if Batman gets prep time then spiderman should as well. Also spiderman has been shown to create devices to counteract his opponents abilities after seeing them with his limited resources same as Batman. Plus the main marvel universe spiderman is basically the new Tony stork and has access to a wider array of weaponry which he can arm himself with.

Spiderman would win. I don't like the fact that people overpower Batman. I LOVE Batman, he is the best DC superhero and one of the best superheroes ever in the top 3 or 5, but he's still a HUMAN, there are so many things that he can't do, and I think that's the reason he's so badass: being a simple man he has managed to do amazing things, with all his limits. Meanwhile, Spiderman is waaaaaay faster, and stronger. Although Batman is probably smarter, I think not even that would help him, 'cause Spiderman powers are just too much for any human. In a fist fight Spiderman would beat him in less than 10 seconds, if Batman had prep time, he'd find a way to make Spiderman sweat and some times even beat him, but in my opinion, Spiderman would win almost all times.

Everyone uses Prep time as an excuse, but they Ignore the fact that Batman is just a man in a suit. Spider-Man literally has superpowers so his winning.
Thank you for always promoting gentlemen like conversation. We all need to calm down in these convos once in awhile... Personally Bats and Spidey are two of my favorites as well (with Bats being just above). That being said I'd have to sadly admit I think, due to the Spidey-sense, Spiderman could win this. But circumstances would change a lot
