  • ✋Hello! Today we will cross the river on a bit thrill bridge. It is a suspension bridge made of vines. We will be able to see the abyss below our feet through the gaps in the bridge during the crossing what is thrilling! Let's test our courage!
The Iya Kazurabashi Bridge is the vine bridge stretches over a canyon in the Iya Valley (Tokushima Prefecture, Japan). 13 bridges once spanned the valley, but today there are only 3 remain. The Iya Kazurabashi Bridge is the longest and the most popular one. It is 45 meters long and hangs at a height of 14 meters. The origin of the bridge is not fully known, but one legend tie it with Heike, a clan that has fled to the mountains from the enemy. It was after their defeat in the Genpei War in 1180-1185. The bridge was built with vines that is easy to cut in case of enemy pursuit. There is also a theory that it was built by a monk who was cruising around this area to help the villagers who were in trouble. The bridge is made of kiwi vines. It is rebuilt every three years for safety and it is attached to tall cedar trees on the both sides.
May happiness be with this place.

✅ The video is 4K/60fps, so playing at not less than 720p is recommended.
✅ The audio is binaural recording, so I think that you can enjoy a more sense of reality by using earphones. 🎧
