    In this video, you seat the clutch adjustment screw and then lock down the nut. But in your previous clutch adjustment video for a KE, KD, KM, you seat the clutch adjustment screw then you back it off one quarter turn before locking down the nut. Which is correct or why is there a difference?

      Both are excellent question and I am going to use this in a video so let me explain 1st you want the arrow to line up and you want the free play how ever some times due to worn cables or clutch or even Both you might have to back out 1/4 turn seems to be the sweet spot especially if you can't move the adjustment in the cable located about a foot down from the hand lever

    Kev, does the 78 ke have the cable for the kickstand ?

    Hey kevin, my clutch disks,plates, springs and cable are new (including the lever at the clutch you are adjust, yet when the powerband kicks in, it slips, on occassuon pops out. Im using straight Briggs and Stratton 30w.....
    Should i change to ATF and if so what do i use?
    I also have problems getting it in first gear until ive ridden it a bit and under heavy load,it will occassional pop out of gear.
    If you recall, ive had the engine completely apart. All parts are in excellent condition and spec.and it was all installed correctly, based on the manual and your videos.
    Also, it seems that when i adjust it to not slip it doesn't go into gear as well.....fix one problem and end with another i really don't like these bikes anymore.

    I just got 2001 ke100 but having bad slipping clutch now.
    I don't know what previous owner did, so changed fluid for wet clutch 10-40 and adjusted those lines. but looks like still slipping on topend.
    usually won't slip when those lines lined up??

      It shouldn't slip at all

    When I ride in lower rpm bike moves good . When high acceleration is given engine makes huge noise like clutch is stuck , instead of sudden pickup . How to over come this ?

      Sounds like clutch is sticking unless i hear it i can't 100% tell what the problem is
