Tony forgets he woulda been chain-sawed, just like his dear friend Angel, if it wasn't for Manny and Chi-Chi.
It was because of Manny, why Angel got chainsawed and nearly Tony. Had he not tried to pick up scantily clad woman on the street, he would’ve seen Angel get forced inside the hotel room by a gunman from outside.

Like it or not, Tony should've taken Frank's advice and his rules for his success. He might have lived longer.
The real downfall is when the banker told him he had to raise his rates and Tony didn't want to do that even though the banker had done good by him and that he was in good hands with the bank. Tony was upset about spending a little more at the cost of losing everything which he inevitably did

@@christiandupont950 The thing about getting mobs on tax evasion charges is not because these guys are greedy and want to keep all the money. Its because the loundred money comes from cooked books from legitimated bussiness, most of the times these bussiness generate far more money than the bussiness is worth and if you tried to declare everything as legit to the IRS they´ll see that something is off with the bussines. Clean money doesnt neccesary mean taxed money but money that comes from a legitemated place. The more you try to make more fake bussinesses to spread the illegal money the end return from your illegal operations becomes less worthy of doing it, so there is some risk of how much money you can loundry.
Its not that the IRS cares that they get their share (which they do) but also from where that share comes from. There is a bottle neck in how much money you can clean to a point that the biggest criminal "empires" in real life will end up with piles of cash that they can´t even use.
TL:DR : if you tax all of your illegal money you are gonna get cought for worse crimes than tax evation.

The beginning of the end was the restaurant scene with Michelle Pfeifer. Taking people for granted led to poor Tony’s downfall… 😕!

Tony's insatiable hunger for the world and everything in it, got him. He thought the bank was trying to dick him, but turns out he was safer with them than walking into a sting that got him popped.
Then, he refused to check his morals at the door when doing a job for Sosa. Kills the button man who was there to blow up a car, which sets Sosa right off and it's on from there.
The final blow was finding out that his sister married Manny on the low. Killing Manny pissed off his sister, who then shoots him right as Sosa's hit squad is at his place. Tony’s biggest problem was he never took good advice when he heard it, regardless of who gave it to him. Never look a gift horse in the mouth.

@@princessmarlena1359and even then, Manny was going to meet with the Undercover cop to make the deal and wash the Money, Tony wasn't meant to be there but felt like he had to do it himself not trusting Manolo.
If Manny actually was there and got caught, it would of been a lot easier for Tony to not face jail time since he wasn't actually there, could of used a lawyer to help Manny and with his overall attitude, he wouldn't of taken the slight few years on jail as bad as Tony especially with them having the money to be treated much better locked up and how being millionaires in America in jail was a very different experience from when they were in cages in Cuba.
Manny always had a grateful attitude of where they presently compared to where they were in the past, where Tony was never grateful and always unhappy with life no matter where he was.
Quasimodo predicted all of this
The halfback of Notre Dame.
People never quit while they're ahead.
Technically, the start of the end can be attributed to a drug dependency, notably influenced by aggressive tendencies and compounded by obvious PTSD mixed with heavy cocaine use. The tipping point was the evening of the fall, where, if you observe closely, Tony’s wife was the first to introduce him to cocaine sniffing. Cocaine makes you aggressive and dulls your sex drive; if the characters in this movie were true, this would have been the cause. However, if the movie's portrayal of violence in the drug distribution business were accurate, one could also argue that the start of the downfall was getting into the drug business. But than there would be no movie to assess.
"It's all set up" Manny didn't know that was prophesizing.
yap, manolo was naive, no sense of business...
A conspiracy I heard is that manny knew Seidelbaum was a fed to trap Tony so he and Gina can be happy while Tony goes to jail
Why dont I remember any of these...
Keep the details in mind how Manny is talking about a date with a girl while there is a important deal to set up. Also during the arrest, Chichi makes a stupid comment about a date with a girl. Shows how sluggish they are and not sharp. Caused Tony's organization to fail.
The best scene here is the corrupted lawyer (parasite)😂
Seriously though, do you know how much time and work it takes to make that kind of bubble bath? Respect.
Tony allowed Manny to lead him into a Federal investgation. Manny was weak and set up the Seidlebaum money washing transaction. If Tony ignored Manny's advice to stop using Jerry, at the bank, to wash the money, then he would have been clear of one pitfall.
But, he listened to Manny, and accepted the Seidlebaum deal. Then, when Manny was slacking off, Tony took over to manage the deal himself.

Tony should have known something was up when the guy was saying he didn't know Benny Alvarez.
I heard in a intervju, with Robert de niro and Al Pacino..

he listened to manolo's business proposition...
I couldn't believe that guy is Don Eladio in BB / BCS...😂😂
After making a great deal with Sosa, Tony can't make a good deal anymore. His lawyer was being very reasonable.
Ultimately greed gets you. If Tony had just stayed with Jerry "That Smiling Motherfucker" banker and paid a little more to launder his money, there's a good chance he'd still be with Elvira and Manny would probably be alive too. But Tony couldn't stand paying all those extra points to Jerry. Even the wealthiest among us hate paying extra.
