@@TomGrigat it had a very lame engine. Also, at that point my grandmother was clay in the hand of the car sales people. Don't understand why she bought this car as she must have been 65 or so.
You sir are a master! Mediocre kit of a mediocre car and you have elevated them with a few strategic scratch built elements to an art form! Most wholesome and wonderful thing I have watched in a long time, please continue to be a respite from the world at large.
I had one from 1980 through 1992. It was an excellent little car, dependable, great mileage, sporty -- plenty of pep and wonderful handling, nimble and easy to park.
Bit late to the party, but wow this is pure art! Only 139 comments and a thousand or so likes at the time of writing. There's no justice in this world!
We all wish we had those little helpers to give us a hand while building a model, don't we? Your videos are the most enjoyable 'instructional' videos that I've ever seen. I'm hooked now! Cheers! Kaustav
Brilliant build Tom, very animated & very well thought out. No matter what subject you choose it is always a huge pleasure to watch. A testament to your skill as an artist.
It will be long story, but I must tell - when I studied, once upon a time we had meeting with Wilhelm Brasse, which was former Auschwitz concentraction camp prisoner and famous photographer. I dared to ask him - because in his book was info about his car passion after war - what cars he had. And he told me that one of them was... Volkswagen Scirocco! I was amazed. And Your work is also amazing! Nice done! ;)
Well .. A very nice build as usual !! Just an idea (my opinion).. Why not trying 1/16 armor with with full super scratch detailing (interior and exterior) 😁😁😁 example.. The 1/16 T-72 B from trumpeter .. It would be a great challenge isn't !?
Great video. I do remember these well. I think they sat a little lower, though, and the grill was recessed a bit. Too bad the AMT kits are such poor quality as they have some interesting cars, having built several myself.
What an absolute joy to watch. Thank you for making your videos.
Miniac I love your stuff aswell. Thanks man you’ve made me a better painter
Paint... more... Sciroccos
My grandmother drove this in the 90ies. Borrowed it a few times too... Thanks for the memories!
Nice - you're welcome 😊

Love it...
Animation as good as the detailed cars you build..
Love it...
It’s honestly an art form what you do breathtaking thank you
Thanks - you're welcome 😊
My father got us a 1979 Scirocco. Silver and black. Loved driving it to high school. It was a rocket. I've got 3 of these models. Thanks Tom.
I smiled throughout that beautiful creation.
That's cool 😀

You should make a movie, it would win an Oscar.
Too much honor 😊
@@TomGrigat you would deserve it, also if you ever want a change of direction you can start an animation master class.
Maybe you could get the Oscars statuettes to help in the build. :-)
Wouahhh it's always so well done your video and especially your models which are splendid of course !!!. BRAVO the artist.
Thank you very much 😊
I had one from 1980 through 1992. It was an excellent little car, dependable, great mileage, sporty -- plenty of pep and wonderful handling, nimble and easy to park.
And it was some sort of ikon of it's time. Even here in germany...
Very nice!👍👍👍👍

Amazing work improving the model with scratch build parts and then to film it in such a style as well! Unbelievable! 👍 +1 sub!
Thanks for your kind words and the subscription
Dude, I've been watching a number of your videos and you kick ass with them. The models are incredibly detailed.
Love this. My 3rd car was a '78 Scirocco! I miss that thing..

The amount of work you need to make those montages ... impressive
Wieder einmal absolutes Klasse Video. Dein kleiner Helfer schafft in 4min mehr, als ich in 3 1/2 Jahre Lehre 😅
Dankeschön - aber du weißt ja: der kleine gibt das ja nur vor, der Lümmel 😂

What?!? That was awesome!!!

Great one Tom! hope you do more cars in the future!
Thanks - I'll see. Next car would be something very old and beautiful 😅
Amazing, Love the wheel rolling part. Would of been great to see the little fella fill the engine with oil and coolant though.
Thanks - good idea 😅
Just wow.
Even if the door opened, you wouldn't fit, Doll-Chan!
It is wounderful
Thanks a lot 😊
Just out of curiosity, how many finished models do you have ?
Excellent video, must be an old kit with those axles straight through the boot floor and sump.
Thanks - yes, it's a very old kit.

I am happy I subscribed!
I like the license plate: "Little Angel".
It's for a friend's wife...
Great video. I do remember these well. I think they sat a little lower, though, and the grill was recessed a bit. Too bad the AMT kits are such poor quality as they have some interesting cars, having built several myself.
Honestly, this is the only "classic" car I've wanted to own, the VW Scirocco I. The German VWs in the late 70s were the pinnacle of a pure small car.
How hard is it to add that little thin bit of black for the window seals?
“She” was ready to be taken for a ride in the backseat. Great video as usual.
I think genius on the loose is a good description to begin with...
好鬼正👍🏼
You are a f.... genius
Thanks
This was my first car 1975 scirocco
Seriously, are you a God reincarnated or something? Watched a lot of your vid's now and the only explanation I can come up with is that you are a God.
such a bizarre car to have such a higher quality model for
..... the flying wedge of the 80s!
Vintage channel is here
Great and interesting video on the most uncool car you could have built 😆
Thanks - it's a gift for a friend of mine who's wife has been dreaming of that car her whole life
TOMs Modelling in Motion you are a jewel !
Just translated the liscense plate awwww
The model was built for a friend of mine who handed it over to his wife as a present. It's his wife nickname...
TOMs Modelling in Motion that’s cute, and a nice touch!
👍
Has anyone mentioned that the plastic guy is bigger than the car seat?
He is as twice as big 😂😂😂
The little guy is as good as ever, maybe someone should tell him how to spell simulate !
bryan latimer-davies omg - Sorry, another typo again...
after you build these models could you showcase them a bit better please?
