@@wendynerd1199 Challenge accepted. Let's start with the first post and then move on to the second. The first post is in reaction to one sentence. 'It doesn't help if everyone who criticises Israel's xenophobic policies is labelled an anti-Semite.' It seems to me that this is an expression of the frustration about automatically being labelled an anti-Semite when you criticise Israel or someone Jewish, like Soros. You react to this by taking a hyperposition of the attitude the sentence speaks of. You label Choki an anti-Semite, because he brings up criticising Israel's policies, not even because he did so. This is an extremely tetchy and forward way of defending the policies of Israel. Namely, by labelling someone as an anti-Semite for merely bringing up the possibility of criticising the policies of Israel. You assume that the motivation for writing the sentence is bigotry, but what do you have to show for it? Nothing but your own bias. Then you claim of Choki: 'You want to justify bigotry.' How you justify this claim I fail to guess. The preceding sentences did not validate your conclusion. On to the points about crusades and the relation between demographics and national policy, especially those of Christian nations. It's actually rather interesting to study the relationship between religious ideas and political forms, but that's not the attitude that you express. Instead you use these as examples of bad policy that Choki might as well focus on. First of all, this is beside the point that he made. His point was about the possibility of criticism without being labelled a racist to which you responded by calling him a racist and proving his point. It is also patently clear that if you criticise Christian countries or the relation between Christian ideas and the policy of nations with predominantly Christian demographics, then you will not be called a Christophobe. Neither will you be called a racist, if you criticise a Christian. Your counterargument is about policy, not about the possibility of criticism without being called a racist. As such, it completely misses the mark as it argues against a point that is not being made. In the second post you deny that you said anything Zionist. You say you never said something pro-Israel. Then you finish it up with a repetition of the deflection that you finished your previous post with: look at the Christians, the big bad Christians. You don't back up your claims about them again. Now why would one consider these posts Zionist? There are two qualities that would drive one to that conclusion: the patter, or the talking points, and the rhetorical content. First let's define Zionist. Zionism is the desire for a Jewish Nation, as spoken of in Jewish myths, and the efforts, ideals, and beliefs that are associated with it. Israel was founded with this myth in mind which makes it the primary and solitary Zionist nation in the world. In a more loose way Zionist is also used for an extreme defensiveness about anything Jewish, as it were the Jewish variation or racism. What makes your talking points Zionist? Firstly, you deflect towards Christians. Why not Buddhists, Hindu's, or Manicheans? And why compare it to a religion at all, since the original point Choki made was about criticising a Nation's policy. Might as well compare to Ethiopian, Chinese, or Chilean politics. Hatred for Christians is one of the hallmarks of any decent Zionist in the loose sense and this predilection for deflecting towards them is an early indicator of such attitudes. This position is similar to yours, except that you take deflection to be a definite sign, whereas I require more evidence. Labelling people who criticise Jews or Jewish things as anti-Semites is becoming a tired cliche. Never is careful attention paid to what is said and meant exactly. Rather, the worst is assumed: bad faith, bigotry, hatred. This is done while there are multiple less presumptuous and pessimistic explanations for what is said. You went with all of these on the basis of so little evidence. This tactic is often called Zionist. Then the rhetorical content of your speech. It was very definite, pejorative, and judgemental. It read like an extremely aggressive defence of Israel. You didn't attack criticism on Israel. You attacked someone talking about the possibility of criticising Israel. This is such an incredibly aggressive defence of Israel that I guess you could delude yourself into thinking that you never said anything pro-Israel. Technically, you would be correct. Like a proxy-war, your rhetoric took up a defence so far removed from the original territory of pro-Israel speech that you'd be tempted to think that it has nothing to do with it. However, like a proxy-war, your rhetoric doesn't fight on the territory that it defends. Perhaps you'll make it to this sentence without punching a hole in your monitor. If so, congratulations. There may be hope for you yet as, surely, you're now capable of understanding how one could be tempted to call your speech Zionist.
@@wendynerd1199 It does need to be brought up though, because that is what Netanyahu and his government say about anyone who criticises Israel. Real anti Semites get blamed for being a humanitarian. You really should watch Noam Chomsky on the crisis in Palestine.

It does need to be brought up though, because that is what Netanyahu and his government say about anyone who criticises Israel.
Real anti Semites get blamed for being a humanitarian.
You really should watch Noam Chomsky on the crisis in Palestine.
3:28 I almost blew my lunch...lol!
Where it all started: It was either ancient Greece or Rome, banking was seen as a dirty profession that no decent person would do. To whip up popular support, the empire passed a law banning the Jewish community from ANY job except banking. Oh the irony.
when will the right wing accept that normal people protest, it's ridiculous
I lived in SLC for decades. I woke up this morning and walked three blacks to work in downtown SLC, and i saw flyers on poles saying: " Its ok to be white", " Mexicans go home", " Jews go home". I have never seen anything like this ever here in Utah. I'm a white man so never experienced racism in my life, but whats happening now is just disgusting.
Rewatching this 4 years later- I’ve had the phrase “despact the fite” in my head for YEARS with no idea where it came from. finally here is the answer! 😂
I'm glad I wasn't the only person who watched that press conference and caught her saying "despact the fite"...ROFLMFAO!
We all should care about the earth, it's where we keep our stuff.
Am i the only one who got a crtv ad with a guy pushing an anit black lives matter agenda? Seems like misplaced ad dollars were spent. 🤷🏽♀️
Chris Hardwick is one inch taller than his wife. But when she wears heels, she is taller than him. FAKE NEWS Sam (just kidding of course). Also from a Pittsburgher who lives just 30 minutes from the Synagogue and has many Jewish friends and family members, thank you for covering this and being so thoughtful about such a serious topic.
Hucker-sands sounds like she was about to cry while telling us "they are picking on the President!! 😨😵😭
2:04 makes me wonder if I should apply for Fox News. I am a woman who can shout at a camera, acting all angry because of things no normal person would ever be angry about.
Ah, but do you have the right cheekbones? That's the really important point.

Nah, I don't. Make-up can do that, though. ;)

More Full Frontal w/Sam Bee, please, TBS.
I love you ❤️ Samantha Bee for Decades
Speaking of the economy, it's not booming. Right now it's very unstable, and several economists are predicting a crash in the near future.
It is booming! You just hate facts
"Eating mayonnaise with a spoon" 😂😂😂😂
Kudos to Bee for talking about this. Nobody else seems to be.
Good show Sam! Got a historical context I did not know I needed!
0 mention of Farrakhan or his ties to Sarsour, Perez & Mallory.

*RUPERT MURDOCH* is the real villain of the peace in American politics.
You know: subconsciously, I think I was always looking for an excuse to swear off cambells soup. Thanks sam.
how hard it must of been for samantha to fluidly weave in 'despact the fight' as she closed that segment
Thank you Sam!
"she's never come up on the show"...that's where I laughed out loud.
I went to the March for Our Lives and all I got was the satisfaction of participating in the democratic process. Where's my check, Soros??
Thanks for your detailed work!
-“She’s starting to malfunction....
...yep just like we thought, too much GOP malware... surprised she’s lasted this long”
I want to laugh at this, but George Soros ordered me to be angry. Sorry, Samantha.
Oy vey...
(Wait a minute, I'm pagan.)
Oh gods...
"Dispact the fite" - I just like how she did it twice in a row
I'm not going to vote. *I voted.*
As an atheist and an American, I’ll tell you this: an attack on Jews, Muslims, Christians, Jains, Hindus, Pagans, Sikhs, Buddhists, Shintos, or any other religious people is an attack on me. And unlike most people, I won’t tolerate it. Call me intolerant...
I'm not saying the republicans are racists. I'm saying the racists think they're racist and the republicans are using that to their advantage politically
Despate the fict is my new favorite phrase
“Dispact the fight” Hmmmm
I’m going to have to use that more often.
