Damn! Pokey killing it as usual. Some of the only "real" music I've heard in a while. Rock Bottom Rhapsody has been my jam album this year, so, so good. We are blessed to have artists this good these days.
My daughter and I love listening to Pokey! Still remember in 2011 at the Botanical Gardens in STL when she was 6 months old, and Pokey held her and sang with her. ❤ Started that kiddo out right!
He is great with kids! Several years ago, I introduced his music to my nieces and nephews and they were obsessed. So I got his address from him at a concert and they wrote to him and he sent them all harmonicas and a cd and an awesome note. They were overjoyed. (There was seven of them btw) The oldest is 22 now and he still has his harmonica and note. I even took them to a concert at Forest Park and Pokey recognized all of them by name.

All Pokey's albums are rounder than everyone elses records. Don't tell them that though. I tried tell him the "Reason" is the mustache, but he kept hitting the mustache and the mustache was getting really really angry, I mean really pissed off. Then just when I think the mustache is going to lose ITS cool, Pokey's mustache slayer ring of snott bubble makin knockouts sends a coast to coast telegram, bunch of dots & dashes and that's exactly what I saw when I woke up too & few of these ~☆★º*♡♥׿

Soul, the element of surprise, and catchy melodies. Go listen to "when did you leave heaven" or "something in the water," and nothing on this new album even comes remotely close to touching that.
