Hand Carved Rev. War and F and I War Soldier’s Stone in Slate!

  • Here we have 2 stones I recently carved in slate by hand with chisel and mallet. Each letter is drawn and carved by hand. Rev War a soldier, French and Indian War Soldier and Mayflower Decendant!

    David, the craftsmanship on these is incredible. The brown Bess looks like you could pick it up and load it. I would have loved to see a video of the production of them. The Lord sure has blessed you with an awesome talent.

    You're an amazing craftsman and I appreciate that you give glory to God for your talent. I wish I could be at the dedication but ironically I'll be in South Carolina. Would have been nice

    Have you converted to tungsten carbide tipped chisels yet? I am just a hobbyists stone carver but I switched to using only tungsten carbide chisels a couple of years ago and they are so much nicer to use than regular stone carving chisels. I rarely have to sharpen them and when I do I just use a diamond stone and it doesn't take long.
