    If there were anything that could cause me to emigrate from the US to Latvia it would be these guys. OK, a lot of things would cause me to emigrate; but being able to hear this group is a very positive reason!

    May the Angels lead you to paradise,
    and the Martyrs, when you arrive,
    escort you to the holy city of Jerusalem.
    May the Angel choir sustain you,
    and with Lazarus, who was once poor
    may you be granted eternal rest.

    In paradisum deducant te Angeli;
    in tuo adventu suscipiant te martyres,
    et perducant te in civitatem sanctam Ierusalem.
    Chorus angelorum te suscipiat,
    et cum Lazaro quondam paupers
    æternam habeas requie

    Same question as BucleboyKY: could somebody tell me the composer's name of this ‘In Pradisum‘?

    Esenvalds is Norwegian, to the best of my knowledge. Latvia is just across the Baltic, and I think the conductor of the Latvian choir likes Esenvalds' music a lot. That might easily lead one to think Esvalds is Latvian.

      According to his own website, he is definitely LatvIan: you may have him confused with Ola Gjeilo, Norwegian composer who is also popular in choral circles now.

      Ēriks Ešenvalds was born in Priekule, Latvia in 1977, he studied at the Latvian Baptist Theological Seminary (1995-1997) before obtaining his Masters degree in composition (2004) from the Latvian Academy of Music under the tutelage of Selga Mence.

      Y'know this is an entirely different tune than what I was fed when commenting, I am very sorry to mislead, no it's surely is NOT Faure's Requiem! Apologies all 'round.

    What does Latvia export ?
    What is the county’s main crop, and product ?

    • @aivarsrokjanis321
      @aivarsrokjanis321 3 роки тому +1

      Our main exports are untouched nature, culture, everything related to green tourism ... Export for use in the territory of Latvia! But if you are interested in material values, then those timber and structures made of them, furniture, quality food products, knowledge, IT technologies and related products ......

      @@aivarsrokjanis321 , the material goods do not conflict with spiritual values. Both are of interest.
      The big question is : Does Latvia have a pro life policy in relation to the unborn baby ?
      What are the Latvian people doing to stop abortion in their country ?
      Babies are more valuable than cultural exports, material exports and public image.
      Lord God help us to see the value in each tiny baby, made in your image and likeness.
      See : Rachel’s Vineyard a healing weekend of Jesus’ forgiveness for women who have had an abortion.

      @@Randolph1233 Good afternoon!
      Sorry I didn't understand the subtext of the question because I'm using google translate. This issue is being discussed with us, but it has not reached the common denominator in society. There are cases when a premature abortion saves a woman's life. So it was with my wife. It has been more than 30 years since this incident (the fruit had already begun to disintegrate), so I abstain from the verdict on this issue. Because not all cases can be systematized with the further result of entering a new life in this world.
