Hello my darlings, in today’s video I am starting yet another oil painting. I was scrambling to cram this piece in before a gallery deadline so the entire process only took 12 days. In this video I'll be talking about why it's important to incorporate variety and harmony into your work by balancing contrasting paint application techniques such as thinness vs. thickness of paint and tightness vs. looseness of rendering. You make some good points, I abandoned dry brushing a while ago bc it diffuses the color you want to stay on the surface when the correct blending technique is putting like colors together
