This is so informative. I just became certified through Balanced Body in December 2023. I currently write all of my exercises for my clients down. I’m going to try Notion because girl. lol. I do the workouts that I have planned for my client the evening before I know they are coming just to make sure I have everything right. lol. I get kind of nervous, but it’s getting better. I have my own in-home studio and I like that better because it is more personalized especially for those with injuries. I am more of a classical mix with some contemporary movements teacher, not the aerobic stuff. I teach my group classes at the U.S. Embassy here in Belgrade, Serbia. Thanks for the tips!! Happy Teaching!
Congrats on becoming certified! I feel you, it can definitely be a little overwhelming at first but glad it's getting better for you. Glad you enjoyed the tips!
Hi! I am registering this spring for a BASI comprehensive teacher training and am so glad I came across your channel, I wad having some doubts about switching careers and pivoting toward pilates, and whether the BASI program was the right one, but I feel so much more confident now! I am leaning toward the Newport beach location as well! I have some questions tho Did you have any extra costs, like having to pay the studio for personal practice or practice teaching? How many people were in your training class? And the biggest thing rn, how did you find cheap housing while taking the training? I also am coming from far away. Thanks so much! And excited to see more videos :)
Congrats on beginning your teaching journey! To clarify, my host studio was not in Newport Beach. There was a training nearby where I lived at the time. I did take the final test out at the Newport Beach location. So I'l not sure about extra costs or housing in the area. For specific questions about training at the studio, I would reach out to BASI HQ (they should have the contact email for potential students to reach out to listed on their teaching page). And for housing, I'd try Newport Beach housing public Facebook groups. Good luck!
I did go to the notion hub but it wasn't listed. The only things that were listed were the class planning hub and the student pilates instructor outline? Maybe I'm not looking in the right place?@@amirarichie
It would be hard to say without the cost breakdown of what that $12k covers. I will say there are definitely reputable programs out there that offer the certification for less. I would determine what price point works for me based on my financial situation, how long it’d take me, how well-recognized the program is, what teaching opportunities it might offer me after the cert, etc and do a little analysis before making the final decision. Good luck!
It's essentially an all in one note-taking and project management platform. There are a bunch of Notion tutorial vids on here that are really helpful. And yes, check the description for my templates! 😀
I provided the outline in the style that I’ve shown in the video and then you feel free to plug and chug the content from own program or even rearrange the template if you’d like
I learned all of that throughout my training! My program did a really good job of helping us think about cueing for the individual in front of you (whether private or group). Then, I just practiced teaching to hone that skill and still continue to hone that skill today. If you want more specifics, you can DM me or reach out to members in your program if you're taking one!
Thanks for posting this!! I have my 1st in-studio teacher training tomorrow. I’m trying not to get overwhelmed with all the material
Yay, you got this!
Same❤

Is the BASI teacher training template still accessible? I'm currently a BASI student.
Yep, should still be! The link to the Notion hub is in the description, but if it's not workin', just let me know.

School in Michigan asking for 12k is that 450hr. Is that good or to much

what is Notion? is there a link?

How do we use the same notion template for our own use?
I provided the outline in the style that I’ve shown in the video and then you feel free to plug and chug the content from own program or even rearrange the template if you’d like
hi how do you impliment the principles into class or one to one
