I am older, retired, and just started to try and learn watercolor painting. I don’t think I am very artistic, never drew or painted anything since high school. You made this look so easy with a great outcome. Thanks.
I just discovered your channel. I love that you show the entire painting from sketch to painting. This is very helpful. I'm learning a lot from you. Thanks
Very nice Janet 💛 love how you can paint in a small scale. Love the layout of the clouds the sunset and the simple dark horizon line. Beautifully done. The little details with the flowers really adds to the painting. Beautiful painting Janet, thanks for sharing ♥️🌼🌹💛🌺💕🌻
simply awesome...u made it look so easy. i would have stopped painting in middle of it, with the fear that i might overdo and ruin the painting but the kind of detailing with water surface , u did was amazing. thanks for the amazing n refreshing content. 👍🏻
@@relaxingartwithjanet thank you for your channel. Beautiful. Subscribing. I’ve been looking for such a journal/paper. Any chance you can share more about the journal/paper/brand? Living in Canada as well Please continue. It’s beautiful
I didn’t think I was either but I started anyways! I’ve gone from acrylics to Bob Ross tutorials now watercolors . I think if you love painting and have the drive n want to get good at something anyone can do it with practicing as much as possible! Go for it! I’m selling cards now and have come a long ways with no lessons ( just a ton of love for the mediums
Thank you🍀🌷☕️watercolor sketchbook brand is POTENTATE, I think other brands (cotton watercolor paper ,cold pressed, 300g) can replace it. tape is just the regular transparent tape ( I just bought form dolarama, very cheep), ink is kuratake from japan
Also what did you do to make that little sun appear in the distance? Tutorials are most supportive when instructions and how-to’s are included, not just a video of your obviously awesome skills 😅(just offering feedback, not intended to be rude)
Loved this tutorial! Such a pretty landscape! I would love to try myself. I miss some information like: brush size and did you use white guache at the end to imitate the white flowers? It would be helpful to have a written list of the colors used in the information box. It helps getting prepared to paint with you. Thank you. Just hit the subscribers button.
Thank you very much for your like. 🌷🍀❤️My brushes are all calligraphy brushes. There are only three types of calligraphy brushes: large, medium and small. I usually choose the medium size, but I also bought both large and small sizes. For paint, I always use Winsor Newton Cotman. The last white is white. I use white gouache first, and then white ink.

Hi! Your excellent video was suggested to me, and I am happy to be a new subscriber! Can you please tell us the brand & size brush you are using? Or do you have a link? Thanks so much! ❤💐♥️
I just use calligraphy brushes,Calligraphy brushes are divided into three sizes: large, medium and small. I usually use medium.you can get one from Temu ❤️❤️❤️
Your landscapes are really brilliant even being so simple in colors and theme. Don't know why most of the time I tear my paper layers when I takeout tapes 🤔
Yes 100% cotton,In almost all my paintings, I put something about 1.5 cm high under the drawing board, which will make the water flow downward (water will not accumulate on the painting if it flows downward). This brand is called potentate. I bought it from China
I’m curious, what is the darker Color you used in the sky? Also what color of the four ground plants and grasses? I love the way you captured the light here.
All my paintings are done with calligraphy brushes; The difference is that the white hair is a wool calligraphy brush, and the brown hair is a weasel hair calligraphy brush.
Thank you, that answered my question as well. A lovely little painting. I've done acrylic painting for years and am trying to learn watercolor. Your technique is lovely.
really beautiful and fun to watch! But for me it was frustrating to try to reproduce it, not enough directions :/ Will try again when i am more experienced!
If you have problems with some tapes, use a hair dryer to soften the glue. Be sure everything is dry first!! Never pull tape off wet paper. Also be aware of what sort of paper you're using. Some papers are very hard to remove tape from. .
Additionally, don't leave ANY tape on your work for an excessively long time (past the time it's actually needed). It often becomes very difficult to remove using most techniques.
I was today years old when I learned I don't have to buy special tape, I can just use regular transparent tape - Awesome process and video
Yes, you can choose regular transparent tape 🍀🌷🌸
Scotch “Magic Tape” gives crisp lines, & doesn’t usually tear paper when removed. It’s my favorite! 🌺
Goodness I learn slow! Ive spent a small fortune on “artist” tapes with as many disappointments!
Scotch tape???!!!!
Painters tape works beautifully too. Inexpensive and little to no risk of tearing the paper.
I use paper selotape , that is how they call it here, cost cheap too. The plumber usually use that. @@dorothygladsjo3510

It’s all about practice, draw cubes , spheres and cones whenever you can there is excellent guidance on UA-cam now go for it

Love the painting. What make of sketch book are you using. I am still trying to find one that will take a wet wash 😢
POTENTATE watercolor sketch book ,cold pressed. Thank you for your likes ❤️🍀🌷
I also find using 100% cotton 300gsm (140lb) works the best to hold wet washes.
I found a Strathmore cold press one through Walmart or Amazon ( ?) Sorry can't remember. But, it had different sizes too.
