SANDF deployment in war-torn DRC bring some hope to local communities

The deployment of South African troops in one of the volatile areas in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo has brought some hope to local communities that have suffered decades of violence by armed groups.
The UN peacekeepers' base run by South African forces, was opened last year to protect civilians from attacks by rebels of the Allied Democratic Forces.
