Good advise, customers will recognize your ethics. Repeat customers and referrals are solid.

What do you do if the issue is intermittent and you can’t duplicate it? Do you charge? And if so, do you charge to check it out again another time?

I charge the first visit and tell them that the service charge is good for 30 days. If they call back within 30 days, no charge and hopefully the appliance will show itself. If it's after 30 days, most of the time I do charge again. Cause think about it, that's 30 days of use!

Weve been in business for 2 years now. We warranty for 90 days. Samsung refrigerators french door twin cools are a disaster change everything for defrost and it still freezes. We lost so much money until we realized Samsung didn't care. Now we just tell the customer we'll come out every 6 months and defrost for 60 bucks. Honesty is important. SVC fee covers the 90 day warranty we rarely loose money.

We change evaporator cover, defrost sensor and install the new drain tubes. And that usually (90%) does it for us.

@@theapplianceprofit we thought it was plastic cover with the styrofoam absorbing moisture overtime freezing up it wasn't. Its the line coming in at the top overtime the it starts frosting at the top the heating element doesn't reach the portion where it's freezing in it just starts freezing all the way down so the fan can't push out the air. We're trier different things to seal it from condensation but we've watched these things freeze up and gets a large chunk of ice there. On the Samsung usually starts happening between three and four years. What's your opinion on butane R 600?

Yeah that's why we replace the defrost sensor and change its position to the correct position according to Samsung.
I don't mind r600. We do several of them. We have the small scale and bottles that are just for r600.
