Good idea, certainly sticks well. I'd just buy the £10 bicycle alarm that's inside it and try to fit it into the bumper or door skin, maybe use a hole saw for the speaker. I got one with a flashing rear light, but wanted to return it due to the arm beep being as loud as the siren. They told me to keep it. My nephew didn't want it due to the same reason. I had a £12 Lidl alarmed disc lock which was great for my motorbike. It doesn't flatten the battery, doesn't fail and stop you using the ignition, reminds you it's there (no crash) and immobilises it too.
Could you also say, having a visible security thats on show, could attract more theives and that it shows that theres something valuable inside? Cant win..... you only can slow them down , like getting a cage fitted inside the van aswell as an alarm/tracker/immobilser that can be controlled via an app
Your the best spark on the tube btw how long u own your own bussines and was it hard at the start to get up and running how long did it take to be busy anuff to go out on your own and also what age are you? Reason i ask your doing well for yourself as your young and have very good knowledge, skills, and bussiness built up. God on you mate love the channel. 👌 👍
Hello sir! Thank you that’s a very kind thing to say 🙏 I’ve been on my own for 7/8 years now, I never got the opportunity to get busy before going on my own, I was laid off and then decided the same day to start up, it was hard mate, had no work and bills to pay but that made me work harder! I’m 37 next week. Hope your well and thank you for watching my channel!! P.s if you’re thinking about going out on your own… do it.
Thieves will just smash that off, they have no fear these days. mine had immobiliser , alarm and tracker. didn't just go for the tools, took the whole motor sunday morning
Im on the fence with these still but there certainly a consideration, As always you produced a fantastic video that was both informative and enjoyable, Well done 👍
Total crap. Most van shits don't give two shits, I've seen big angle grinder in broad daylight. Only way is tool manufacturers need trackers built into tools and law needs to change
They are usually easy to find as they are in the same location when factory fitted tracker (usually part of the onstar sos assist) 3rd party active and passive tracker is recommended + a load of smarttag (has 7 day history) and 4 airtags in most expensive tools (only shows you current location)
The orange covers would be great for David Savery (DSES) whose van was broken into and tools stolen in February 2024.
Sorry to hear about David’s Van

Sounds like decent alternatives
Good for trailers and the beer fridges as well, very nice
Definitely
Good point about lack of time. Anything to make life harder for them.
Any obstruction helps
100% they want quick in and out, they need their next fix

The cage is such a hardcore idea
Nice
Can you par all 4 into one remote ?
Yes you can 👍👍

Hi Mate do i still need pen protection for a tesla wall charger on a tns system ?
Yes mate
If they tried the cab doors would that still set the alarm off?
Yes it does
It was great to meet you at rexel, we are mostly domestic non EVSE types, bit of commercial (hence the light i was picking up)
It was great to meet you too mate!! 👍👍
Just wondering as they are stuck on, if dribbling IPA along the top surface would make these alarms fall off the body panel??
No idea! Give it a go!
If on two remotes would you have to disarm the internal one when driving?.
You have to disarm both while driving
Can you imagine if you lived next door and just had the nightshift XD
Are these motion activated?
No
How long do the batteries last?
Well I had my original ones for a year with no signs of dead batteries, can’t tell you from experience past that though 👍👍
Amount you have there, go on you know you want to do a giveaway 😉 awesome bit of kit by the looks of it!
Deivers door if you got one on the side and rear would be going off b4 the van vault any way… hopefully they don’t get that far
the noise does make a difference, it attracts attention and they're like nah (or just drive a nondescript van like me.... )
Exactly it’s there to attract attention
I like your van racking. Did you do it yourself?
No. I have a video on it being done 👍 a
@sotaelectrical I couldn't see it on your channel. I'll look again.
use a hair dryer on the glue and it will come off more easily
as you saw the other day, i have a berlingo.... interested
I think they are worth it

It’s just a cheap deterrent that I’m showing and I do state that it won’t stop your van from being stolen. Really sorry to hear about your van though
Im on the fence with these still but there certainly a consideration,

I know Adam, it may help in your area, but in London people just walk past alarms, not opportune thieves now, this lot are clued up and don't care
@ that’s absolutely savage. Are you going on the 3rd Feb to the protest?
Never knew there was one mate, ill have to get details , but im up for it, only 4 mie away from central london
It’s not the coat that makes you look fat😂good video 👍
🤣🤣
Great idea. I'm getting them. Code has to be SOTA-5 not SOTA5
Thank you for this!
Have you got shares in vanguard 😂
🤣🤣

Why would a thief bother with disabling an alarm.... they would break in to the van and pinch the tools in < 2 mins...
Not when they are locked away they wouldn’t
They'll just put a box over the alarm sound proofing it you need it were it's transmitted to the owners phone and house alarm
