    Thank you! Thank you! I am a former assistant pro from almost 30 years ago and after taking some time away from the profession and game I have developed a really stiff swing, no feel, and no speed. Now that I am almost 50 years old this drill has brought back my feel , consistency and speed (102mph to 112mph). Keep up the good work!

    Really good stuff guys thanks! Supports the direction I have been taking recently in my swing. 1 thing in the back of my mind that bugs me is the concept of speed via uncocking (ulnar deviation) that many coaches teach is the release. Im unable to incorporate a conscious use of uncocking to deliver force. If I do try, i lose the left to right throw of the arms ard the body.
    Another thing i cant grasp is with this zombie swing how to "manipulate" my wrist conditions to be bowed through impact. I feel any conscious wrist/forearm supination impedes the flow of the zombie arms.
    Thanks again

    Great video little long but I’m glad I watched the all of it. I just sent video of my swing to an instructor he indicated he wouldn’t change anything but I didn’t have any flow. Can’t wait to try it. Thx

    I have picked up golf again after several years of injury. After a few dr sessions I had to go back to the basics. This is one of the videos (besides others of you) that is of great value on my journey. To understand what’s going on in a swing helps to lose tension and to increase the feel for the club. Thank you to both of you. Excellent!

    The kettle bell drill at the end was particularly useful to illustrate that feeling of flow. That feeling of temporary weightlessness then letting momentum carry the club down in transition is really useful for those of us that pull down with our arms.

    Great job Milo and Henry. Dr. Kwon also promotes the kettle bell. If you all say it, I believe it. I was always a hands and arms swinger, but will work hard on this change. Question please, when I putt, I sway off the ball, do you think the heel taps will keep me more stable during my putting stroke? Thanks for all you do for the game of golf. Love the Rukket's golf net as well!

      Hey Bob, Henry here. That's interesting you sway when putting with it being a smaller stroke. I'd have to see you putt to give you the best feedback but initially it sounds like you need to get a little more grounded. Have you checked out our online academy? • @MiloLinesGolf

      The step pulls the club back around, it counteracts the movement of the club. Pressure shifts before the top of each motion to counteract,

    Milo, Can the drill be done walking away from the ball ? Is there any thing to be gained or loss mixing the toward and away Zombie Walk ? Also in this drill & swing should we try to let whatever "arm swing' we just happen ? Early & excessive arm swing arm swing is one of my swing issues.

    • @MiloLinesGolf

      Yes it can be done walking backwards as well.

    When I do the hing with the club and REALLY go relaxed below the shoulders, I have a hard time from stopping the club from hitting me on the way through. That club moves so fast without any effort. I’m excited to take this to the range.

    • @MiloLinesGolf
      @MiloLinesGolf  2 роки тому

      When you say the club is hitting you, do you mean with like a TRS or alignment stick off the end of the club?

      @@MiloLinesGolf the shaft near the club head hitting me on the shoulder (both sides). No idea where a ball would go if my wrists were this loose.. it reminded of when I was younger that the shaft of my driver would sometimes hit the back of my neck on the follow through. (Back in the day when I never worried about distance)

    • @MiloLinesGolf
      @MiloLinesGolf  2 роки тому

      Hey Danny, Henry here. Sounds like it's not your wrists but that your arms are folding. Feel like your trail arm is staying a little wider in the backswing, otherwise we'd have to see your swing. Have you been to our online academy? milolinesgolf.com

    • @DannyN140
      @DannyN140 2 роки тому +1

      @@MiloLinesGolf I got a lesson from Milo when I was in town a few months ago. Yes, my arm is folding during this drill because my arms are loose. The left arm folds on the follow through as the club whips around. It feels good to have everything this relaxed. I hit some practice balls in the yard just now. It feels fast. I didn’t hit myself on the full swing.

    Question- when I am just taking swings with my driver to a blank tee my swing speed is 114-117 (I am still clipping the tee). When I introduce a ball my swing speed drops to 105-107. I feel like I am making the exact same swing with the exact same effort. Is this a just a mental block? Or what could be going on here?

    • @MiloLinesGolf
      @MiloLinesGolf  2 роки тому

      Probably has to do with you applying the club face face back to the ball, but could also be with what technology is reading the speed.

    When I do this drill I can feel a lot more rocking / tilting from side to side rather than rotation. Which I think is good? I know the backswing is a tilt and turn and I think in my swing I don’t tilt enough and my turn is flat. Would you say this drill is a good way to feel the proper tilting back and forth in order to get the arms to working on plane naturally from momentum of the tilting?

  • @hbyrdut
    @hbyrdut 2 роки тому

    When I did the zombie walk with a golf club it felt very wristy and like my arms weren't moving much because I was trying to stay loose. In fact, the first time I did it I had to consciously not break my wrist when I wanted arms only because they immediately broke. It felt like I was introducing tension to keep my wrist from breaking. Am I missing something?

    • @MiloLinesGolf

    From standing still to get the flow going is so difficult. Especially enough starting momentum to get the club to the top of back swing. This is like the forward step drill. I hit great shots on the range, but can’t do the stepping drill on course.

    Kettle Bell Exercise: For your consideration, you should note to viewers that the center of the pelvis and the top of the ribcage are centered ( On top of each other. ie: At 90 degrees ). There is no angle between the pelvis and the sternum. Thx for the informative home exercise.
