Helpful. This approach can be seen in Augustine, Anselm, Moreland, etc.
This apologetics approach emphasizes rational arguments for God's existence.
It utilizes evidence to substantiate biblical claims and miracles. In that sense it is related to evidential approaches.
To say it differently, "it is not unreasonable to use reason."
    Thanks for this message.
    God bless you.

    It's a two step approach:
    1. Show it's reasonable to believe God exists (a God like classical theism)
    2. Show it's reasonable to believe Christianity is true

Unfortunately neither has been done yet.

@@somerandom3247 Arguably, both have been successfully done in William Lane Craig's book Reasonable Faith, just to make one example. That doesn't mean you have to agree with the arguments. Again, the arguments are only to show that it's "reasonable" for a person to believe God exists and that Christianity is true.

The points made in that book has been thoroughly refuted. Showing that it isnt reasonable to believe either.

I believe, if more people knew God is documented speaking to great crowds in the Bible, they would understand the reverence for it. Sunday Christianity, isn't awed by it either, to my former atheist disgust.

Imagine if God just appeared regularly and talked to everyone. There wouldn't even be a need for apologetics, because everyone would understand and accept this God's existence.

Wouldn't that demand greater obedience than if they believed on Him because of His words alone? Maybe this is why there may be no salvation for satan.

@@somethingtothinkabout167 Exactly! If we knew 100% for certain that God existed, I think we all would fear him greatly. And it would create a "Please don't hurt me" relationship, and that's not what God wants. I think he wants to have a good relationship with humans. One where love goes both ways.
And belief in God is a secondary issue. The more important thing to believe is that Jesus is the Christ.
(I'm not sure if it's possible to believe the latter without believing the former, but the latter is what saves you.)
      Paul worded it like this:
13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. 15 More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. 19 If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.

A more difficult project for Apologetics is showing God as being morally perfect. Really, it can’t be shown that God is morally perfect. It can be shown that God is not morally perfect. No morally perfect God would create the majority of humanity to only in-the-end cause them to suffer for all of Eternity Future.

You don't have to suffer for eternity, just trust in Jesus Christ.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. Jn. 3:17.

@@azareelperezzapata2433 Most of Humanity has not trusted in Jesus Christ nor will they. God will have them all cast into the Lake of Fire as the Book of Revelation says. A Morally Perfect God would not do that.

@@TheMirabillis The annihilationist view of hell doesn't require that unbelievers suffer for eternity. I think this is the correct view of hell. Unbelievers' souls stop existing, just as it was before their birth. That's why John 3:16 says "shall not perish, but have eternal life": your soul dies if you don't believe. But if you do believe, your soul lives on forever after your physical death.
Revelation seems to only say that the devil, the beast, and the false prophet were thrown into the lake of fire to be tormented for eternity. It does not say that any other people/beings are tormented forever.

If one person is reading is enough. My job as a psychologist is to help you change your mind to live better. I am going to provide you with arguments to justify your change of life. You are not atheist anymore because logically it is impossible the existence of the creation or what has a beginning of existence without the creator or what is eternal. It is better for you if God exists because for atheists life lacks an ultimate purpose and death is terrifying. You are not religious anymore because the intelligent creator of the universe is substance, something real, reality that created reality. What is the best explanation of reality? God is the first uncaused cause that caused what has a beginning of existence. God decided to create the universe because it didn't have something that it wanted. God is something real incredibly powerful and intelligent capable of creating the universe. God 's creation is the universe. Being cautious what is intelligent is to take care of God's Creation. The point is life is not about pretending to take care of God's Creation. Lying is deceiving oneself. Do you want to witness the end of the war in Ukraine and Gaza? To witness a miracle only the discovery that atheism is a logical fallacy has to be news. The truth is atheism is a logical fallacy that assumes God is the religious idea of the creator of the creation to conclude wrongly no creator exists because a particular idea of God doesn’t exist. I am a poet and artist, not a warrior. I am an intellectual. I am a thinker being treated like a trouble maker. Time is running out and is eternal. Emergency! Share! Thank you.

The classical approach is to continue to use old, debunked arguments and baseless claims. And ignore anything that disagrees with you.
