That citrus Juicer is great. You can squeeze a whole lemon or lime without having to pour it out. It's stored in the bottom half of the Juicer. I bought mine from Amazon.
That Clockwork Orange cocktail reminds me so much of something I found on the cocktails subreddit: L'Orange et Crème: 1 1/4 oz London Dry 1 oz OJ 3/8 oz Lemon 3/4 oz Aperol 1/2 oz Cointreau 1/2 oz Vanilla simple Egg white Prepared as a standard sour. Also very much a semi-bitter creamsicle-style drink!
@@lewismaclean8849 yup, vanilla simple syrup! Personally, I infuse vanilla beans while making the syrup, but you can probably get away with adding extract instead.
I'd guess the idea of the sugar for the Clockwork Orange was to help express the oil from the orange peel when muddling. Maybe dial back the simple (or eliminate entirely) and use the vanilla sugar instead?
You can’t eliminate the simple entirely because using granulated sugar in a drink will not balance it properly (with few exceptions) until the sugar has dissolved enough to balance it so the first several sips would be bracingly tart.
Gonna try a regal shake in my Tequila Sunrises from now on, never thought of it. Could you do a red and white Sangria? Your the only channel I trust to show me the proper way to make them. Great content as always 👍🏻
That Clockwork Orange and Bela Lugosi look incredible. Minor question, since I've never had Mezcal before, what would be a good one to get to make the Bela Lugosi? Keep up the amazing work.
Great cocktails - always dig your shows and have learned so much. What about using foaming bitters - for the egg cocktails - have you used foaming bitters before? Thanks
Obligatory enthusiastic Hungarian viewer here being excited over Lugosi Béla! As for the *Captain* Jack Sparrow cocktail, that's not enought rum. It needs mooore rum! WHERE'S THE RUM?!
So I just started working as a bar back at a simple neighborhood bar, we have some house cocktails but nothing fancy. Today a regular came in and requested some type of weird cocktail. Hearing that I started going through every cocktail video I've come across that might be of interest but for most things we didn't have all the ingredients for them. Suddenly, I remembered this video and asked if he likes Fernet and mezcal. He said yes so I quickly pulled this video up and started whipping up the Bela Lugosi. Well... He loved it, he even offered a taste to all the bartenders which felt great. It was only 2 hours later when I realized that I forgot the pineapple! But it still somehow worked, at least to my campari loving palette. So, I guess that if you really enjoy the bitterness of amari maybe try the Bela Lugosi without the pineapple🤷
Great video. Loving the looks of Clockwork Orange and Jack Sparrow. Don't have the ingredients for the second but I'm sure it'll be great. Must get some fernet branca and mezcal dammit
These all sound great! I was nervous when I saw Fernet and Mezcal together, but it sounds like the pineapple helped to balance. I am also not a fan of ice in egg white cocktails- It reminds me of when people put ice in coupes
I had an Irish coffee yesterday and nearly choked on the four coffee beans hidden in the cream🤨 Sometimes ,garnish on the side is enough.. and too bitter. I like to use chocolate instead .A Clockwork Orange seems apt for the times .(
For the Bela Lugosi fans: The 1994 film Ed Wood, starring Johnny Depp, who portrays the director of Plan B from Outer Space, with Martin Landau as Bela Lugosi and an amazing supporting cast (including Bill Murray). Relatively obscure, crazy/hilarious, and definitely worth a watch.
I have seen your citrus juicer many times and have always said to myself..."I should get that!" Can you provide me with details, so I can purchase it? Thank you!
A drink I picked up in Korea was called a buffalo soldier, in a shot glass pour in order 1 part gold tequila 1 part Bacardi 151 and 1 part Tabasco sauce, DO NOT SMELL IT, take in a single swig, have a chaser ready! No one that I am aware of knows the exact origin of this drink, but consider that it is really only found in G.I. bars in Korea and is considered a dare drink it was probably concocted by a group of drunk Soldiers I doubt anyone could tell you the exact origin.
Does anyone know of a way to produce the ango sugar disks in any quantity? I’d like to make the Bella en masses for a party and keep having the lemon give off too much juice and ruin the beautiful texture and hardness of this garnish :( I know I can batch caramel and make drops, but they don’t have that aerated looking texture
Try my cocktail! I’m trying to perfect this recipe, and would like some judging, constructive criticism, what can I do better to this recipe, it’ll mean a lot! Flor Amargo: 1.5 Smith & Cross Jamaican Rum .50oz Campari .50oz Passion fruit purée (I used Liber&co) .75 Orgeat Syrup (homemade) .75oz Lime Juice Add ingredients to shaker add a little bit of pebble ice and shake for 10 sec, dirty pour in a hurricane glass and top with pebble ice Garnish pineapple slice and 2/3 spears

@@wesmadebuilds681 Well, with the regular dry shake you just strain the drink at the end. With the reverse method you need to either manually pick it out, or strain it into the other tin, then dump the ice into the sink, AND then you pour it into the glass at the end.
