From the lectures which you taught at Mit after seeing those I felt confident in physics but before that I used to hate it so much. I would thank you sir for helping me grow a strong interest in physics. I also have a question for you sir, is physics like any other subject where "practice makes a man/woman perfect" or is it just that concept matters ?
In Keith's solution, he mentions just right at the escape velocity the trajectory of the orbit would resemble a parabola, does that mean it would never return to the moon? (Since parabola is not a closed shape) Or should you have a velocity greater than the exact escape velocity to not return to the moon?
At escape velocity it will escape! so not return. Theoretically the path is a parabola. In practice it is a boundary between elliptic (closed orbit) and hyperbolic (gone never to return)
Such big calculations. Sir do you have solution to those big calculations. Actually my physics exam is tomorrow and these type of calculations scare me :)

Thanks a lot sir 👍⭐
Most welcome
Good morning Professor,
Is there an email address I can contact you on? The one online from MIT is not functioning and I have a request regarding a physics text book.
I can imagine you are very busy, and maybe receive a lot of messages but if you see this message I would be so grateful for a reply.
Thank you 😌
my email address is top secret
@@lecturesbywalterlewin.they9259 Wow, thank you for your reply, Professor! Short and funny but at least I got one 😂
I wanted to request a copy of your book with a small personalised message in it generally directed.
I just wanted to request it directly as opposed to in the comments. I know you sold some books a while ago which were signed.
You have been so influential and so wonderful as a teacher I just wanted to get to thank you and maybe get one of your books with something as a memory.
I lost the chance to thank and ask others such as Marian Diamond (the neurologist - my field of study is Biology,) but sadly she died before I got the chance.
If it's at all possible I would be extremely grateful, and I'm messaging from here in England 🤭
Please let me know,
And thank you again for your reply. You made my day 😬

Hello Dr Lewin. I've been watching your Videos since 2010. I'm 70 years old!! I love learning physics.. I just watched your video lecture on Gyroscopes. Very IMPRESSIVE.. I doubt you take Viewer Request.. but If so..I wonder if you can Explain what the Precession and Vectors would be on the gyroscope in this Video Link.. I recall your lesson that Angular Momentum Follows Torque in Precssion... but here's the Link...it seems to defy Gravity.. Thank You Sir.. :) ua-cam.com/video/ldqUV-DXiUg/v-deo.html

Hello Sir, I’m an 11 Grader from India, I face problem in solving wedge questions in Mechanics… Can you Please help me with this Question:
A wedge of mass 10 kg is moving with ‘a1’ acceleration to left on a frictionless surface inclined with 37° to the horizontal. A body of mass 4 kg is on the wedge and is moving downwards with’a2’. ‘a2’ is the acceleration of block with respect to Wedge. Calculate ‘a2’ .
Waiting for your reply. Please
