Being able to adjust loft or anything else without sacrificing face angle etc is just awesome. It's all independent. Only confusing part is why so many ppl keep ripping on it. Read up on it first
Everyone who is concerned about too many options do not realize that’s already a factor. Titleist has has 16 combinations for a decade and it’s not intuitive at all without a chart what they do. So if it’s not a problem now, it’s not going to be more of a problem with more options. This was the logical conclusion to club adapters and truly the holy grail for club fitters and technically-minded golfers. Plus, it’s still pretty simple to just aim for higher vs lower, more upright vs flatter
Interesting seeing how they are all shaped differently and sit differently when you had them all arranged in a row. Like you I fit people for golf clubs, and when I see all that adjustability I'm a big fan of it from a fitter perspective, and hope that other companies adopt a similar system to give fitters more versatility to teak settings to best match how the golfer being fitted swings, and give them a launch, spin, and dispersion that will help them hit shots with less need for compensations.
Pretty simple if you take 5 minutes to review the chart. Going to be very helpful for better players who need to make small tweaks and great for fitters. I don't know many mid handicap players and higher who even consider looking at the loft sleeves. We want more options and something new and exciting and then complain when we get it
I think its a great idea for one stand out adjustments. Now when you change the loft, it doest change the lie angle like it does with other brands. So now you can raise the loft without closing the face, as well as lower the loft without opening the face. Im sure that will be useful when golfer are playing in the wind and want to only try to bring their ball flight down without compromising the face angle.
Why the negativity on the adapter? Its far more complicated on other adapters where if you change the loft it changes the fave angle or lie angle without telling you
Love all the new drivers coming out - and for a lot of ( mostly men ) then why not buy a new one every year ? They're toys and fun to play with - you can convince yourself that they go further and/or straighter than the old one. That having been said I do think that this from the top and the side looks like one of my charity shop specials !
I've never bought a brand new golf club in my life but I know some guys who have hobbies that consume HUGE amounts of money by comparison so if they get pleasure from New golf clubs all the time.what's the problem? If people.didn't buy brand new clubs eventually there would be no second hand clubs worth playing
Michael i know its useless for you but can you find time to help us slicers and do the max d on very left settings and let us see how left it seems to go
Never going to buy one of these….. they’ve run out of ideas so decided to add more decimal places in the adjustment matrix. Even in a fitting with a good fitter to boot, is the ‘normal’ golfer really going to be able to find the sweet spot? How many shots would you need to hit?
It’s not really any different to the theory behind the Callaway or Titleist system in that it’s a dual axis system that allows you to adjust loft and lie independently. The only real difference is the cogs have more notches that allow you to make finer adjustments.
This hosel is Definitely overkill. That’s all you need is A1 and then the eight (8) outer settings in green. Just way too many settings. Ball flight differences with 0.4 & 0.3 increments between loft and lie angles would be extremely difficult to see. Strike location would also negate any minor hosel setting. This may work on a robot, but golfers are not robots. A slight variation in face to path would just negate the differences in the settings. Overall Cobra are excellent drivers. Back in 2017 I was custom fit for F7 driver, 2 fairways and 2 hybrids. Too bad I sold them. They would still be relevant today.
😵💫😵💫😵💫...the golf manufacturers have lost their minds🤔... I can see the benefits for the fitter but once it's set I don't see any good coming from the golfer messing about with it..... it's like having a Rubik's cube at the end of the shaft...🌟🎊🤩🥳
So you don't see your swing changing? Or maybe someone who is getting lessons to improve and as their technique changes they can change the driver to match rather than getting a new one
IMHO Unless you are getting fitted, and this must be heaven to fitters, I can see players causing chaos with their game. Since so many guys do not get fitted but just pick it off a rack i can see problems down the road. It might just be TMI... or overkill....
Well, I don’t see anything here that would convince me it would be worth buying. You certainly for the club head speed you use here have hit other drivers a lot further. The driver looks good enough by 33 settings is absurd. That’s kind of like having 33 varieties of chicken on a buffet,… Nobody seriously needs it. If you’re that bad of a golf or you need to tinker that much you just need serious golf lessons. It’s definitely the latest technology, but I would rather spend my money on a driver that is 2 to 7 years old, brand new at a reduced price and just practice and improve my game and spend the money actually playing. It’s a whole lot of tech and hype, but the clubs aren’t going any further. And any dispersion improvements are so minimal only a robot would really benefit.
The improvements on any new series is modest over the previous model but if you buy a 7 year old club as you plan, you'll 7 years of tiny improvements probably add up to something. Interesting take on the 33 hosel settings. If instead of being 33 types of chicken at a buffet it was 33 varieties available to all worldwide golf consumers then 33 might make more sense......
What’s up with a normal driver no adjustment that’s all we need.Golf is too complicated with all these fittings.Majority of golfers aren’t consistent enough for all this rubbish.I bet if an average golfer went for 3 different fittings, bet all of them would be different 🤦♂️
Buy it and leave it alone at neutral. I don't think it's compulsory to adjust it. It's an added feature to a really good driver even if you couldn't adjust.

There all whinging poms surprise surprise😭😭🤪

The adapter is excellent, and anybody who cant understand it shouldnt be messing with the settings in the first place!
Interesting seeing how they are all shaped differently and sit differently when you had them all arranged in a row. Ha. Wow that chart looks like the formula for universal gravity ! 😂
I like the X though 👍

All the negative comments, go and have a look at the guide that comes with before you comment, it really makes it very easy

Problem is that most people can’t finetune their swing 😂
My number 1 choice for reviews... excellent 👍
Awesome, thank you!

Why not buy one every year? @$600??? Good for you, not for me.

Why do they say 33 settings ? With 8 letters and 8 numbers, there should be 64 settings, no ?
Your maths is right, but the hosel doesn’t allow for every combination.
Maybe 31 sets of twins and two only children.
Quicker than the GT’s .. for you at least .. gonna have to try it .
Michael i know its useless for you but can you find time to help us slicers and do the max d on very left settings and let us see how left it seems to go
If you need to buy an anti slice driver, you shouldn't be spending that much on a driver. Spend that money on lesions

Currently have the QI10 Max in the bag so looking forward to the Max k review and comparison maybe time for a change
what shaft is on there?
Denali Black
@@MichaelNewtonGolf x- stiff or stiff sir? I’m trying to mimick your tempo. I’m jealous.
X Stiff 👍
Is this adapter patented? Will other manufacturers be able to copy it?

As if golf wasn't confusing enough 😂😂. You'd definitely need a custom fit if you're considering one of these
Cobra engineers are smoking crack do they think as fitters we have 3 hours to go thru 33 settings shame on them!

The worst part is now all the manufacturers will be changing their sleeves and a lot of shafts won’t fit now….
That could be a bit of a nightmare!
Not a fan. The sec you hit a bad shot on the course gona be second guessing if you have the correct setting.
Just like any other adjustable driver since the adjustable weights in the R7 Taylormade.

Seems that more complicated is not possible😢 playin a cobra l something from 2023 ! Works! Leave me alone, please! 33 setting? Jokeking?
