I love it when Sir Vohra takes the podium. He is a cruising Brahmos poet, his beautiful weapons of words demolishes the evil around.

I remember watching Deepak Vohra on Doordarshan morning programs way back in 1986. I still remember him interviewing a 17 yr old Viswanathan Anand (hardly needs any introduction).
I never knew he is an Ambassador. In fact, few weeks back I saw him on UA-cam for the first time, after several decades. 😆 He speaks very well!
And whatever he said is very, very Englightening, esp. the ex. of Justice Dalvir Bhandari.

India needs to deal more firmly with the British. They are the ones asking for a free trade deal and we must agree to it on our terms, the first of which should be the extradition of that thief Mallya who stole more than 9,000 crores then ran away to UK.

Free Trade Deals have not been in India's favour till now. India should be cautious in getting into FTD with other contries

The UK govt. showed it's Arrogance and Disrespect for India when it did not recognise the Cowin certificate given by the govt. to Vaccine takers. Interestingly, the Vaccine "certificates" given by the British to it's on citizens were actually small flimsy Slips which were probably Duplicated by many. LOL!
During this anti-Cowin attitude what was happening in England (early 2021) was shocking!
Stadiums were Jam-packed with spectators who were watching Cricket and Football WITHOUT wearing any Masks! And the Covid cases were rising in 1000s/day.
There is nothing wrong with that, but our Cowin certificate is a SUSPECT?!!!
This is nothing but Colonial era Superiority Complex which looks down upon us.

Our minds are colonised, not just some Indians. We are taught every subject on the foundation that West is the repository of all knowledge and excellence. This idea permeates in academia, bureaucracy, media.

@@arnipskumar3245 Of course, We need to do that for our science and engineering books as well replacing Newton, Maxwell, Faraday, Hamilton, etc. with random Indian names, and claiming all that knowledge as being found in the Vedas or its commentaries.

We NEED to DECOLONISE INDIAN MINDS and then the Western minds. Colonisation by the ENGLISH.

      @nareshlathia5334 2 роки тому +3

@@sowmitriswamy6718 NOT "random" names. Most original Indian sources of knowledge have been traced. Mathematics, Surgery, Astronomy, Geography, etc etc. Read just a booklet by the Swaminarayan. Researchers are writing books in English as we discuss this here. Search just the UA-cam for videos by some authors. Good that Lord Mcauley got us to learn English. NOW we can educate the present English Landscape on the theft of all knowledge.

Deepak Vohra ji deserves to be heard by as many people as possible, for as long as possible. Thank you, Sir, for your insights and inspiring words. Perhaps in the future Deepak Sir, you could also shed light on another aspect of the Britain-India relation: While the old colonial influence of Britian on the Indian mindset is waning (and hopefully extinct within 3 generations, as you said), British society itself is not a monolith, either - In particular, British citizens of Indian origin such as Rishi Sunak & Priti Patel (among many others) are perhaps indicative of the 'soft' power of India gaining influence in England. In some ways, India's former colonial masters find the fabric of their society being changed from within, much like the glaciers of the North/South Poles melting relentlessly under the surface even if they seem relatively unchanged to the casual observer.

It’s true British Empire removed wicked rituals from Indian societies like Sati etc, built bridges, schools, rail etc of course, they were colonising a land that was never one nation, and has ever been a centre of many dynasties to invade. British introduced the concept of bribing too, the early kings were bribed not to unite with other kings (the same old divide and rule). This was possible because India is a country that was and is open to other nations, which makes it an ideal economy where everyone can thrive. India should look forward to her inherent strengths!

Amb Vohra, suggest we do not compare ourselves to the British, it’s shameful to look for approval or bench, ark ourselves against a third rate spent force, struggling for relevance in the 21st century . The French foreign minister recently summed up Britain’s current role as “ as the eternal opportunist or a third wheel” and Russian FM Sergei Lavrov’s disdain and contempt for the British is well known in diplomatic circles. As we speak we see world poles and titans fighting to reshape the new global world order , we’re in the thick of things , this is where our focus should lie , not on whether Britain recognises our potential or not….those are trivialities

    Very good content.
    Very candid in his opinion.
I liked what he said regarding the slap given to Britain in an international organisation.
Time for UK not to wag it's tail.
They were empire builders once upon a time but we are the current and future empire busters.
Let us pray God to help us forget our differences and work together unitedly tirelessly to make our country the biggest economic power.
This will make the western world cringe before us.
