This is such a great video and right on time for me. Just last week I decided I'm done with my job. I've totally reached my limit and am through with my current job basically for every single reason you mentioned in this video. Congrats on your new job, so happy you! Your mental health related to work is so important and frankly underrated I believe. Wishing you much happiness and success at your new job.
Aww I’m sorry to hear you are having a hard time. I do pray you are able to release yourself from that situation. I think taking mental health days at work should be a thing. Like “I’m taking a mental health day today.” Should come with sick, vacation, and personal days!
You will do well at any BRAND! Mental health is of upmost IMPORTANCE! Prayers to you on your new endeavor! You’ll do GREAT! And the way you delivered this content was very professional & with such GRACE! Kudos to you girl!♥️
Agree with you 100%! I use to work in retail, and I know exactly how you feel. Missed a lot of holidays and family barbecues, and you can’t get those times back. Smart move on your part. Good luck with your new job.
Malli, You nailed it! ❤❤❤ the truth told with class and elegance. You deserve a position with weekends off as life is short and children grow up so quickly here today in college tomorrow. Proud of you girlfriend! I look forward to Part 3 exactly where you are working and cannot wait to see the LV reviews. Stay blessed! 🥰
Makes sense to me! Never let a job take money from you when you are making money for them and giving so much of yourself to the company/brand. Reciprocity please!!!
Good for you!!! No one should be unhappy (for an extended period of time) for the sake of the company. We’re just an employee with a I’d number to them. We’ve gotta protect ourselves. And I’m sooooo looking forward to the What NOT to buy at LV video! Sending love from Queens. Be well!
You are so on point when you say respect is the bare minimum one expects in the workplace or for that matter in any relationship or interaction. I'm so glad you've found a job that you love and enjoy. Wish you the very best as you embark on this new journey of yours ❤
Clicked on your video for LV content and came away with great advise I didn’t realize I needed. This video really resonated with me and my current career situation. I most definitely needed to hear your words today. Our health and families mean most at the end of the day. Thank you 😊 💕
It seems you would be a huge asset to a luxury retail store, in a managerial position, with your experience and outlook. I hope what you're doing now is creating a more comfortable life.
The funny thing is, client advisors have the opportunity to make more than management. Or at least use to at lv. At other luxury brands CAs are doing great! Being in management isn’t my passion. I love the daily interaction with clients and making new friends.
Blessings to you and your family on this new chapter in life. On another note... I'm DYING to see your video on what to buy and not to buy. You have me saving up for the Pochette Metis in Empreinte ❤️
I think you made a smart and reasonable decision! It can be difficult to leave, even if you know it’s ultimately the right choice. ❤️ Unrelated, but I absolutely love your hair! It looks so lovely!
I can relate to the eczema. I developed it while being in quarantine. Never had a skin issue in my life other than occasional blemish.. I thought it was menopause, but it just turned out to be stress. I work in HR industry for a Fortune 500 company.. I started taking 2 tablespoons of sea moss gel and it went away. I even applied it directly on my face as a mask for instant relief. It has been a God sent remedy. All the best to you...
Love your videos! This one was super informative, I’ve worked retail at J. Crew a few years ago and although not lux I can relate to the stressors. I was shocked to learn commission on a neverfull is $1 that is insaneeee. Best of luck on your new endeavor!
I found you from your Nespresso videos. The LV videos were just a bonus even thought I don’t own a single LV. (Although I’d love too) LOL. My one and only extravagant purchase was in 1988 and I bought a Gucci with some college money💵😳😜. I still have it! One day I hope to own LV or another Gucci. Good luck with your new job, I know from experience how hard it is to leave somewhere that you “once” loved. Family and self health is the most important.
You hit the nail on the head and that’s why I choose to not be nasty about it because lv was once my dream! 🥰🥰 yay for your gucci bag! Treasure it. Those are the best purchases where you got it for yourself because you worked for it!
Girl, your comment about your son being 10 and you missing all the weekends with your family……nearly brought tear to my eyes. Those times are priceless!!! I’m a LV long standing employee, well over 10 years with the brand. I completely get all your reasons, clients don’t see what is happening behind the scenes….once you are ‘on the stage’, you have to perform and perform hard. And harder again the following month. I loved your NF+commission comment. Here in Europe, we are down to zero on canvas. Z.e.r.o. This stinks. Bernard is laughing!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes girl yes. I recently left a position after 10 years because of management. So glad your happy now. Kinda scared to hear what we shouldn’t buy 🙈🙈 im thinking oh man. Thank you for sharing and being transparent ☺️☺️
I do not work retail; but I did work with children for years. I recently quit and rather than jumping into a new job; I decided to dedicate more time to myself and my son. Congratulations on making healthy moves ! Best of luck :)
Yes, i am here for the what to buy and what not to buy. I am a newbie in the luxury world and that would definitely help. I definitely want a Neverfull but i feel bad that the commission is only $1 😱. Now i see why SA’s/CA’s are over that bag lol. I wish you nothing but the best with your new job 🤗.
I mean it could always be worse. I’ve stood there for an hour while someone decided on if they wanted a mng key holder or a Damier one. Lol but umm you should totally get a neverfull if you want them. They are prob one of the best made canvas bags.
💯to everything you said girl. You have to do what’s best for you and your family I’m so happy tho that I did find your channel. Best of luck in your new position!! ❤️
I just stumbled on this video and it's right on time. It's time for me to go. My unhappiness at my job has nothing to do with anyone but myself. I've been applying for other opportunities and haven't had any luck. I'm honestly thinking about leaving before I even find another job
Oh man! Sorry to hear you are going through this but I can say 1 year out of that toxic work environment it was so worth it to move on. I know you will eventually make whatever decisions are best for you. I wish you well!
I’m in the same boat where I am wanting to move forward in my career. I manage high-end boutique style salons… and I’ve been bussing my ass for years and getting praise for years.. but when I asked for a raise, I was told the quality of my work isn’t there. Which was news to me. I’ve been looking for better with 0 luck thus far. I am so elated that you are in a place where you can thrive! I love your channel and your style. You sold me on the Nespresso and I love it so much!
I am loving 🥰 your videos. Thank you for this heartfelt truth! This is beyond true and relatable to any industry. I worked weekends for decades and missed family/friends functions. 😞 We must do what’s best for self and family! You are an inspiration! Thank you for sharing your experience! I love coffee ☕️ too. My next binge on your channel. 😂
I’m in the same boat... I’m about to leave LV as well there is 0 respect for employees and I can’t tolerate it after only 2 months! I’ll be making videos as well but I’ll be saying a lot more tea ☕️ lol! You’re so pretty btw
Amen! That's exactly why I just left my full time job! I was a manager and the managers above me who had a lot of say in my furthering of my career just wasn't nurturing my growth the way they needed to. I was unhappy for a while there and also quit for the same reasons.... my mental health & physical health was more important. Waiting for my other full time opportunity to finalize and hanging out at my passion part time job in the meanwhile!
Oh girlfriend! I’m so happy for you! Glad you recognized your work environment for what it was and that you have a new opportunity on the horizon. Wishing you much success in your new role.
If you want to save 4 minutes of your life, skip to 4:09 where she actually starts listing the 3 reasons. The first one is "quality of life," like having weekends off to spend with family. The second reason starts at 5:55. I won't spoil the rest. It's just that UA-camrs often use sooooo many words and don't get to the point. But this video is still worth viewing for LV lovers.
Not stalking you....just watching you! Im a re-seller that sell high end items and I'm learning a lot from you! Thanks! Still think you are beautiful and your voice is tantalizing
Hopefully in a few years youll feel comfortable to give us some juicy stories from your time at LV. I love hearing about customer horror stories and shady employees 😅
I thought you are only at your early 20s then you said you have a 10 years old son! Anyway, happy for you are gaining a better quality of life to spend with your family. It is SO important. Well done you!
You must be an SA at Hermes now since you said the leathers at your store are great under another comment and we all know that isn’t Chanel lol congrats on your new job! That’s unfortunate that you all only got a dollar for commission. Unfortunately the customer doesn’t know that and is coming for the best experience in customer service from their SA whether it’s for a neverfull or a Capucine. It is on Louis Vuitton to treat their employees better. I don’t think a potential client would take more than 30 minutes to decide if they want a neverfull or not, however, if they do take a while then they should still be given excellent service to build trust in that relationship and they may come back for more items on the higher end . Speaking from experience, I had an SA rush me because they were too annoyed to deal with my SLG purchase . I decided to work with an SA who was more patient and bought waaaaay more stuff with her a few days later and the previous SA felt some type of way. I’m big on customer service coming from food service myself and I’m very respectful so I don’t play that. Glad you’re better off and congrats again!
My daughter has worked in high end brands store front since 16...Has a masters degree now is in high end corporate in Manhattan as soon as she tells me the bs behind the scenes...She is a store planner and buyer tell me why lower end brand gave her twice her salary in a offer recently...Then here comes Gucci I told her fawck the prestige of the brand go where the money resides and you will make a better impact..Her previous salary was no slouch I make same salary at 55...She is 27...hmmm
Yep!! Go where the money resides. I’m almost making double now, better hours, a weekend day off, and the leather in my store is everything I could have hoped for. I’m so thankful. I’m so happy for your daughter
Yeees a, "Which crappy items should you not buy" video! And i'm glad you did something about your happiness and left LV. I def won't spend 3 hours deciding between a Damier Ebene Neverfull or Monogram lmao.... the SA will be thinking yay 1 dollar thanks please get the hell out of here haha. Wish LV paid their SA's better and valued creating a better work environment but unfortunately that isn't happening.
I’m glad you are happier with your new job and more time with family. Looking forward to the LV advice videos, my mom recently bought her first LV (and surprise surprise.. a NF, from Fashion Valley too) and that $1 commission is a no no for me. She’s looking to add more bags to her collection but definitely want her to slow down and watch some of your videos before doing so
Yasss girl to all of this. I totally feel you. Respect is crucial. & taking care of our mental well-being is a must. I’m so glad we met you & became friends. John & I absolutely adore you. Will have to come visit your new location 😉 Also, I think the whole commission off of the cost of goods you help sell is ridiculous. You guys breakdown the pros and cons & always keep it real w me. Tips $$ should be allowed & encouraged especially in luxury
Thanks for sharing 😊 You put in the work God will do the rest stay blessed! I do have a question on why LV send out letter advising you can no longer purchase for two years because of numerous purchases. But the letter advised the policy is if you buy the same items which I didn’t do so they froze my account for two years🤔 This really made me feel some type of way about the brand.
Hey girl, i know you made a video talking about bags we shouldn't buy i just watched it and i really wanted the pochette metis but after all the problems mentioned and all the videos, i was looking at the passy, does that bag have issues?
The passy is really new so too soon to tell. Keep in mind my “do not buy” is more of a bags to be cautious off. I was def get the metis over the passy. It’s just a better more functional bag. However do keep an eye out for any quality issues and LV will take care of it within first 5 years
Thank you so much for sharing your story! As a former SA, I wanted to ask you about something that I experienced yesterday at the LV flagship store in Paris. I went in to purchase a bag and the SA confirmed that she has the item in stock BUT could only sell it to me if I purchased clothing or fine jewelry. I’ve purchased multiple items from LV over the years and have never faced this “requirement”. Any idea what this BS is about? 🤣 Appreciate any feedback. Thank you!
It’s just wild that that happened to you. So they didn’t sell you the bag? These designers are doing that to push the product on you that can’t sell themselves
@@maisonmalli No, refused to sell it until I bought a Tshirt. At the end I ended up buying this stupid shirt that I will never wear only to be able to score the multi pochette for my niece 😖
Don't have to say where you work but are you able to say what type of work you're doing now or what industry and what makes it so much better than LV to you?
I will say what makes it better is everything I’ve listed in this video as to why I’ve quit has been corrected lol. Better quality of life, more time with my family, respectful/ safe/ calm environment to work in, compensation is fair. 😃
Lol I remember when I was in high school I worked in retail got 10% commission. I remember people used to fight over customers. That pay was so good I got paid more than college grads. But I know times are different now. Probably wouldn't get anything now. That was 30 years ago.
Could you show what you got to keep from your time at LV? & discuss employee perks
This is such a great video and right on time for me. Just last week I decided I'm done with my job.

💯 I’ve learned people will take advantage if you let them. That’s why boundaries are so important
So happy to hear that you are doing what's best for you! Boundaries and respect are so so important. I hope you are loving your new job :)
4 months later and I’m sooo loving my new job!
Good for you!!! No one should be unhappy (for an extended period of time) for the sake of the company. We’re just an employee with a I’d number to them. We’ve gotta protect ourselves. And I’m sooooo looking forward to the What NOT to buy at LV video! Sending love from Queens.
Be well!
Nope you gotta know when it’s time to go!!
Thank you so much for your support!
Good for you! Sometimes it’s staying in your comfort zone holds you back. I’m a true believer or always moving forward.
Me too!! So glad I moved on. Yes it was easy but now I’m so better off
You are so on point when you say respect is the bare minimum one expects in the workplace or for that matter in any relationship or interaction. I'm so glad you've found a job that you love and enjoy. Wish you the very best as you embark on this new journey of yours ❤
Thank you Nina! So happy to see you get where I’m coming from 😇
Great video and great advice. Glad you were able to find a workplace that improves all the areas you discussed. Congratulations!
Thank you so much! I am very thankful!
I loved this, I was laughing when your Brooklyn came out 🤣.. Glad to see you chose yourself and your family! Good luck in your new opportunity 😊
😂🤣😂🤣 this video took a lot of self control 🤣😂🤣
I caught it too, she was definitely getting an “A” for effort on restraint ! She understood the assignment 👌🏾, wishing you the best!
😂🤣😂🤣 I got through it lol. Literally tons of my co workers from LV reached out like “u were too nice about it” 🤣😂🤣 gotta stay professional
Well-done and I applaud all women making smart decisions for themselves and their loved ones. All the best for the future.
That’s right! I always say a close mouth doesn’t get fed. People will only do to you what you allow! Thank you so much for watching ♥️

Metis is a def buy! Video to come soon 😘
I agree you have to be happy in your job, and that was always my motto when it comes to jobs. Happy you are feeling better. ❤️🥰
Thank you friend!!! I appreciate that
Glad you left, great advice, def mental health is impt!!! And my eczema is bad when I’m so stressed . Happy for your new venture 💕
Thanks honey! Hope all has been well
I think you made a smart and reasonable decision! It can be difficult to leave, even if you know it’s ultimately the right choice. ❤️ Unrelated, but I absolutely love your hair! It looks so lovely!
😂🤣😂🤣 it wasn’t difficult to leave lol! I was ready. Thank you!!!! It was wash day. Hope you have been well. Enjoy your wknd!
Thank you so much! Keep your head up at work 🥰
@@maisonmalli plpppppppp
Good for you! Glad you chose what was best for you. I know that it can be scary to make these kinds of decisions. Congratulations 🎉

Your happiness and security is the most important. Good luck and enjoy your new job.
Thank you Coral. I appreciate that!!
Yass give us a what not to buy video. I only have SLGs from the brand. I’ve heard so many horror stories about recent bag purchases.
Thank you for being so honest and for bringing awareness ❤️
Of course!
Best of luck in your new position and enjoy your weekends with your family💕
Thank you! We’re having so much fun here!

That’s right!!! And it was the best decision. I know have all of those things in the video I mentioned I was missing. Thank you! 🌸

More LV teas please!!
😂🤣😂 I literally thought about remaining my channel LV Tea 🤣😂🤣
Love your transparency and as a former LV sales associate I know the real tea and I’m not glamorous. ✌🏾 #BLESSING

Happy for you and your family
Thank you Sandy!! Nice of you to say 😃
😂🤣😂 ur funny lol. Yes. I think paying associates better would also provide a better experience for the clients!
My job is terrible with respect!! It’s so huge
Smh. People just feel like they can treat u any which way; nah
I’m glad you are happier with your new job and more time with family. Looking forward to the LV advice videos, my mom recently bought her first LV (and surprise surprise.. a NF, from Fashion Valley too) and that $1 commission is a no no for me. She’s looking to add more bags to her collection but definitely want her to slow down and watch some of your videos before doing so
Aww thank you!! Yes!!! Have mom subscribe would love to have her here. I hope she enjoys her neverfull
I understand I am going through the same thing I give my company 14 yrs time to go
Wow! That’s such a long time. I’m sure you will be able to take a lot of experience etc with u!
Good luck! 🍀
Thank you!!!
I glad you doing good. 👍🏽🙏🏽💯
Oh hey girl! Thank you.
Yasss girl to all of this. I totally feel you. Respect is crucial. & taking care of our mental well-being is a must. I’m so glad we met you & became friends. John & I absolutely adore you. Will have to come visit your new location 😉
Also, I think the whole commission off of the cost of goods you help sell is ridiculous.
Happiness and family is so important. Life is too short. Can you share any information on canvas items always out of stock?
Brand is literally trying to push high end right now and holding stock on canvas for holidays.
Ha, interesting! I believe we can only sell Multi po to VIC’s only and as a part of a cross sale….
@@aidak8919 while shopping in Paris, LV has a 2 item limit on their products. Allegedly, LV is concerned about customers reselling their products.

People need to be treated with respect and dignity. God bless you 🙏
Many blessings to you too friend!
@@maisonmalli Same industry or type of work?
I’m seeing a lot of ur new videos doing Nespresso, Hmmm I need to get myself one also.
Hahaha yes girl! I love me my coffee!
@@maisonmalli ❤️💯
Well said!
Thank you Jackie! Hope all is well
"Managers" fail to understand that you get more with honey than vinegar. Good for you 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Girl!!! I just don’t get it! But some people try to lead with fear which also totally works. Not with me though; I fear god and that’s about it lol
Lol I remember when I was in high school I worked in retail got 10% commission. I remember people used to fight over customers. That pay was so good I got paid more than college grads. But I know times are different now. Probably wouldn't get anything now. That was 30 years ago.
Depends on where u work. Lv is greedy and doesn’t take care of its people. I’m very happy with all that at my new job
