Hi Ram, Instead of asking only about Navarasa felt like you are restricting yourself to few things to ask RGV. We all know you ask very good questions. Expected that you will ask few more questions from his movies or life in general. Anyway, great show man. We want more shows like this from you.
Good episode with good insights and knowing RGV Sir's Perceptions is always exciting. @Galatta telugu try to bring Rajamouli sir on master class if possible.. like this comment how many of you people wish that too
18:10 So Ram Gopal Verma sir explained that Comedy is mostly Dialogue and Expression whereas making people fear involves more craft. It can be interpreted this way right like it is difficult to make comedy because you have limited crafts to play with to bring out the emotion compared to fear.
How can we say "the crafts are limited to generate comedy", when the required no.of crafts itself is limited, comedy ki only actor and writing baagundaali ani annaru, ante it's more safe to get these two departments right Kaani horror/thrill manchiga ravaali ante you need more departments to amalgamate well, which is difficult than getting two departments right
@@JayZRY Thank you for the explanation. This is the point I was making but in a different way. Let me explain:- So for horror/thrill I completely agree that you need to handle more departments and their amalgamation is necessary. So, in this whole process, there can be some compromises in one department and on the whole it will still be good enough as there is so much involved in it and you subconsciously forgive it. But coming to comedy there is no broader ground to play cause you have to get whatever is involved 100% right to make it a good comedy scene. Let me explain this more with an example:- If I gave Pinku and Tinku two drawing sheets and asked them to impress me and I gave Pinku a costly Faber Castle drawing set whereas I just gave Tinku a Pencil and Eraser. So Tinku's art with just only Pencil and Eraser should be so well that it impreses me equally like Pinku's Drawing. I am not comparing painting with film making literally but you get the point right.
Sunil Shetty as Commander Shivraj in Jungle (2000) is one the most underrated & underappreciated characters in Ram Gopal Varma's filmography. Sunil gave an outstanding performance. It had bravery, compassion, sincerity towards duty & yet hardcore realism. Three scenes of Sunil Shetty stand out for me : 1. The introduction scene of Shivraj where Sunil captures Vijay Raaz in the forest in a hand to hand fight. Splendidly shown on screen. 2. The scene after the shootout between the army and the naxals in the climax where Sunil moves about alone in the forest for about 1 minute with a rifle in hand. No other character is shown for this 1 minute on screen which builds tension for the audience. Marvellous background score aids this scene. 3. The final scene of Sunil where Durga ( Sushant Singh) kills Shivraj by stabbing him from behind on mountain top is superbly picturised. Even though, Sunil knows that his end is near, he rescues Fardeen so that his final mission of capturing the naxalites is successful. Heart touching with beautiful BGM again

Somewhat misused masterclass. Felt like wrong questions asked to a wrong person. Missed his thoughts on directing a film, editing, cinematography, sound design, story selection, screenplay, how he is so prolific in making movies since 1989?! Questions like that. But, great effort by the team 👍🏻
If anyone wants to learn what is 180 degree rule in film making, observe the first 3 min of video. You feel something off that is because of breaking 180 rule
well, I am not sure how is it important in an interview specifically. Every person is different at different times, and there a lot of geniuses who give interviews with shades on
The personal interview was great. Audience questions were erripooku. Kindly avoid giving mic to the crowd. Take the questions from them, filter and add to them . Then ask the guest. Or at least know the questions before giving them the mic. Too erripook.
